Chapter 38 : First Step for Conquer World
Azaroth Meeting Room, June 26, 01:00 AM.
This meeting room has recently been prepared by Arina and is newly constructed. It can be said that this is a brand-new room. The room's design is Alice's creation, and she greatly appreciates its effective and efficient design.
In the center of the meeting room, there is a large rectangular table that seems to cover the entire middle section of the room. On top of the table, there is a large map displaying numerous countries from this continent. Of course, the map wasn't sourced by Alice or her subordinates; they obtained it from the Goblin Village.
The goblins acquired the map when they abducted young virgin human women. The map has been copied and enlarged to cover the entire table, with a chair placed at the middle edge where Alice sits.
There are no other chairs, and Alice only uses this chair when necessary. Later, Alice and all her subordinates will gather around the table to discuss the matters at hand. Alice drew inspiration from the meeting room design of Wolf's Lair, which was used by Germany during World War II.
In the upper corner of the room, there is a magical item that illuminates the space.
Currently, there is nothing on the walls; they are just plain white. Alice has no plans to add anything to the walls at the moment. The room is quite spacious and can accommodate nearly 70 people.
The room's temperature is comfortably cool, and its high comfort level can make someone feel drowsy. Currently, Alice, her 5 servants, 12 other subordinates, and a young human woman are walking through a corridor. They all appear like a procession of heads of state preparing for a meeting.
Alice is at the very front, followed by her servants, then the other subordinates, and, lastly, the young woman. They walk quite briskly, with the woman at the back occasionally running to keep up with their pace.
During their walking, they cross paths with several Ancient Liches who had just exited the meeting room after preparing it. The Ancient Liches immediately move toward the edges and kneel as Alice's group passes by.
Upon arriving at the entrance to the meeting room, Alice opens two large doors, and everyone takes their respective positions in the room. Alice stands in the middle, while her subordinates gather around the table. The details of Alice and her subordinates' positions are in the following image:
- Red = Alice
- Green = All Servants (Arina, Aether, Alicia, Aurelle, Exypno)
- Blue = Other Subordinates with lower ranks
- Purple = Clarissa (Human Woman)
Upon reaching her position, Alice is surprised to see the map of this continent. The continent is vast with numerous kingdoms. Arina then takes out a gold coin and places it on the map, indicating the central part of the Abyssal Forest.
"This coin represents our current location," she explains.
Alice nods in understanding. On the other hand, Alicia is seen hugging a teddy bear while sitting in a corner of the room. She doesn't seem interested in the meeting, but Alice has assigned her the task of guarding the room to ensure she attends.
"In my opinion, the Igrasian Empire is a very strategic location due to its position on the continent," Exypno begins to share his personal opinion after studying the map for a few seconds.
"In that case, Azaroth is also strategic, being situated in the heart of the Abyssal Forest, which lies between the Lumeria Kingdom and Igrasian Empire," Alice chimes in.
"As Alice-sama said, our position is quite strategic."
"Well, but I feel like the Lunarian Theocracy and Navian Empire are the most dangerous nations," Aurelle offers her perspective.
Alice immediately glanced at the right side of the map that showed the regions of the eastern countries. Afterward, she looked at a human woman standing in front of her, it was Clarissa, the daughter of a noble executed for corruption and kidnapped by goblins as an offering.
Clarissa, feeling the gaze of Alice, whom she considered a goddess, instantly trembled in fear. Her expression appeared extremely uneasy, especially in a room devoid of humans, where only many monstrous creatures with immense power were present.
"I-I don't know much about the Lunarian Theocracy and the Navian Empire, but it was explained in my academy lessons,"
Clarissa continued to speak despite her fear, and she was almost on the verge of wetting herself, given that the entire room, including Alice, was looking at her. She also tried to recall the lessons about the eastern nations she received at the Royal Academy.
"Explain what you know, human," Alice instructed Clarissa while gazing at her.
If Clarissa couldn't provide any useful information, her life might come to an end, or she could become monster food. This had already happened to two of her friends who were taken elsewhere. Her two friends who were previously with Clarissa had been taken to an unknown location.
"The Navian Empire is a superpower kingdom with the largest territory, but most of its land is situated in the central continent,"
"Superpower, huh........."
"In other words, we should assume that the Navian Empire has many powerful creatures with level 150,"
"That's a reasonable assumption, Alice-sama,"
"Yes, we'll need thorough preparations if we ever want to conquer that country in the future," Exypno stated.
"Ara ~ my instincts were right, fufu ~" Aurelle laughed softly, feeling somewhat proud.
"But that's still quite far. So, what about the Lunarian Theocracy?"
Clarissa then held her breath in an attempt to reduce her fear.
"The Lunarian Theocracy is a country that worships the Moon Goddess, Lunaria. It's a closed-off nation, and there isn't much information available about it,"
After speaking, Clarissa immediately breathed a sigh of relief, as if she had just surfaced after a deep dive. On the other hand, Alice's red eyes lit up once again.
"The Moon Goddess, huh... An intriguing entity if she truly exists,"
"Alice-sama, I suggest we focus on the Igrasian Empire first," Exypno offered his advice.
"Right, I agree... So, is there any information about the Igrasian Empire?"
"The Igrasian Empire is currently ruled by a sick king,"
Instantly, an idea formed in the minds of Alice, Arina, Exypno, Aether, and Aurelle, and their gazes all turned to the map representing the Igrasian Empire.
"We could use a Brain Doppelganger to replace the king,"
"Yes, I agree, Exypno, that's a shortcut,"
"A country led by a dying king is truly pitiful,"
"A very suitable target as the first kingdom to be conquered,"
Clarissa was greatly surprised by the thoughts of the monsters around her. They immediately thought about taking over the kingdom easily and simply.
"B-but, the kingdom is currently divided into three factions: Prince Philip's, Princess Ivy's, and Princess Ciel's factions,"
"Oh, this is intriguing... I'm thinking of an idea,"
Alice smiled widely as an idea popped into her mind.
"Support one of the factions and make that person a puppet leader,"
Alice and Exypno spoke simultaneously, and their words matched.
"Oh, you read my mind, Exypno,"
"No, Alice-sama, it's just a coincidence. I apologize,"
"I suggest we don't support Prince Philip,"
"I agree with you, Arina, fufu ~"
Alice then thought of a question that got her quite excited.
"If we spread our religion in the Igrasian Empire, how long would it take for the entire population to adopt the religion we spread?"
"It depends on the situation and circumstances. However, it seems it would take years,"
"That makes sense, Exypno. To conquer a kingdom, there are three aspects we need to master: politics, faith or religion, and..."
Alice paused for a moment as she forgot what to say.
"And the economy, Alice-sama," Exypno continued Alice's statement.
"Exactly!"
"If we only master politics, like gaining leadership, it doesn't mean we've conquered a kingdom because we need to gain control over the economy and religion as well,"
"I agree, Exypno,"
"Human, do you have any information about the three factions, and is there a city in the Igrasian Empire that is very close to the Abyssal Forest?"
"I don't know about the other two factions. I only know about Princess Ivy's faction. She's a very ambitious and firm princess who doesn't hesitate to execute anyone who harms the kingdom,"
"As for the nearest city, there's the city of Arclens, which is quite close to the border of the Abyssal Forest,"
Alice thought for a moment. She was also very curious about the human city and wanted to visit it as soon as possible.
"Is that so... Aether, how many races are still left in the Abyssal Forest?"
"There are still several races remaining, including Orcs, Ogres, Ghosts, Lizardmen, Bunnies, Purple Demons and other. I also found an entrance to a dungeon located underground in the Abyssal Forest,"
Alice thought again. They needed to divide tasks because there were still many tasks to be completed as soon as possible.
"Oh, Aether, Exypno, Aurelle, I assign you to conquer all the races in the Abyssal Forest,"
"Understood!"
Aether, Exypno, and Aurelle responded in unison.
"Alice-sama, I suggest that after conquering all the races in the Abyssal Forest, we should also explore the dungeon,"
Alice nodded in agreement.
"I will name your task with a code, Operation: Azaroth Awakening,"
"Then, Alicia, Ivara, you will stay and guard Azaroth,"
"Very well, Alice-sama,"
Alicia simply nodded while hugging her teddy bear. Alice had no intention of taking Alicia out of Azaroth because it was very dangerous, and Alicia could be considered stronger than Alice.
Alicia's abilities were solely for combat, with no other abilities. Therefore, she was very suitable as the last line of defense or a weapon of destruction if the need arose.
"Arina and I will go directly to the Igrasian Empire,"
"All the Elves and Dryads here, you will join 'Operation: Azaroth Awakening'. As for the rest, wait for further instructions,"
"Understood!"
Alice focused her gaze on the map, and her red eyes were still glowing.
"We will continue the discussion on the next topic,"
