Chapter 139: Captains, I Want to Eat Hot Pot!
“Establish a defense line, all inspectors be vigilant, the adversary may have weapons of mass destruction!”
“Deploy drones, hover above to closely monitor everything inside!”
“Keep an eye on the tunnel surveillance, it hasn’t been tampered with by Wang Yun yet!”
“Snipers, stand by, ready to strike on my command!”
At the entrance to Longshan Tunnel, hundreds of inspection vehicles raced toward the location. Above, helicopters continuously patrolled the sky. Program officers encircled the tunnel’s exit, strategically positioning their vehicles upfront, with numerous armed personnel taking cover behind the doors and at the back of these vehicles.
Snipers took aim toward the interior of the tunnel. Meanwhile, drones ascended around them, providing aerial surveillance.
Captains from the program inspection teams of various nations stepped forward, their gazes icy as they scrutinized the tunnel’s interior.

“Man, Wang Yun is really laying it on thick, huh? Blocking off an entire tunnel, what’s he aiming to do?”
“Incredible, utterly incredible. Just after eliminating the teams from Singapore and South Korea, now he’s directly challenging all the other teams? 666!”
“I hope our team can put an end to Wang Yun, take down this arrogant guy!”
“Hahaha, what a spectacle! With twelve nations’ teams squaring off against Big Brother, who’s got a multitude of hostages and followers, how will they respond?”
“In this standoff, if Wang Yun manages to escape, it would be a monumental embarrassment for all the program inspection teams.”
Simultaneously, in the live streams of the program inspection teams from twelve countries, the total audience reached a staggering several hundred million people.
Countless viewers were watching this unfolding drama, bombarding the chat with comments.
Initially, audiences worldwide thought the combined forces of program inspection teams from numerous countries would easily capture Wang Yun. But Thailand was the first to be eliminated, followed by the complete annihilation of the teams from Singapore and South Korea.
No one underestimated Wang Yun anymore. Nor did anyone believe the program inspection teams could easily capture Wang Yun anymore.

At the entrance of the tunnel, as the Captains surveyed their surroundings, Captain Everick from the United States addressed the other national team Captains, speaking loudly, “Ladies and gentlemen, Wang Yun has taken control of the entire tunnel and holds hundreds as hostages. His overt actions are a blatant disregard and challenge to us. This time, we absolutely cannot let him escape. We must not allow him to get away.”
His expression was as cold as ice, cradling a sniper rifle.
Nearby, the captain from the United Kingdom also added with a frosty gaze, “Exactly, if he escapes today, it would be an enormous loss of face for us.”
Wang Yun’s actions were a direct provocation to all the program inspection teams. Before, he might have opted for stealth attacks or ambushes. This time, however, he was taking them head-on.
This was an outright insult and challenge to all of them, mixed with disdain. If it wasn’t for underestimating them, why else would Wang Yun dare to face them head-on? He absolutely had to not be allowed to escape today.
“We cannot let Wang Yun escape. Snipers, lock onto the interior of the tunnel. If you get a clear shot on Wang Yun, take it immediately,” Captain Minami said with a grim face.
“He has hostages, and the entire tunnel is rigged with explosives. If they were to detonate, none of the hostages inside would survive. This is something we need to consider,” Wu Mingyu said, casting a glance over the group. “He’s blockaded the entire tunnel, clearly with a purpose in mind. Though we’re not sure what he’s planning, one thing is certain. Wang Yun is inside.”
They had confirmed Wang Yun’s presence in the tunnel, with Master Jue Ming and others providing 100% confirmation. Plus, computer analysis confirmed that the figure captured by the tunnel’s surveillance was indeed Wang Yun.
Despite this confirmation, Wu Mingyu and the team still lacked confidence. Previously, Wang Yun’s operations involved staying hidden. He had been cautious towards the program inspection teams. However, this time, he was directly in the fray.
This clearly showed Wang Yun’s confidence in confronting them this time around.
“We’ve found that Wang Yun has fully acquired the vehicles and certain equipment belonging to the Singapore and South Korean program inspection teams. Notably, the Singapore team’s vehicles are equipped with bulletproof and explosion-proof features,” Captain Dragon Hand added.
A captain from the United States program inspection team spoke with an icy tone, “Damn, truly ineffective and more trouble than they’re worth. The world’s top elites from two countries have all been annihilated, not one managed to escape, and they even left all their weapons for Wang Yun. Absolute waste. Wang Yun’s confidence to blockade this tunnel and confront us head-on surely stems from possessing the equipment and weapons from those two teams.”
The captains and elite members from other countries’ teams gave slight nods in agreement.
Being utterly destroyed and leaving behind a wealth of weapons for Wang Yun and his group was a significant failure on the part of the Singapore and South Korean teams.
“Talking about other things is useless now. Look above the tunnel. There are five drones stationed on the rock wall. Wang Yun must be watching all our moves,” pointed out a Captain from Germany’s program inspection team, his eyes gleaming as he spoke.
“Shoot them down immediately,” commanded Captain Everick, his face stern.
His command caused the brows of other program inspection Captains to furrow slightly, though none voiced any objections. In this situation, a breakthrough point was necessary to disrupt the current deadlock.
“Wait, someone is coming out!’
At that moment, Wu Yaoming spotted a middle-aged man walking out from the tunnel and loudly alerted everyone.
Instantly, the surrounding elites and program inspection personnel aimed their firearms at the middle-aged man who had just come out.
“Ames, look up information on this middle-aged man,” Kolyev immediately ordered his apprentice.
“Yes, Master,” Ames nodded, rapidly conducting his search.
“Master, this middle-aged individual appears to be an ordinary person with no criminal records. He’s likely a hostage inside the tunnel,” Ames quickly reported back.
“Based on the surveillance footage from inside the tunnel, this middle-aged man was dragged out of a car, presumably a regular hostage,” added the Red Hacker trio after conducting their own research.
The middle-aged man walked closer.
“Halt, are you carrying any explosives on you?” Wu Yaoming called out to the man, raising his voice.
“No, esteemed Captains, I truly have nothing on me,” the middle-aged man hastily raised his hands, spun around to show he was unarmed, and yelled.
“The fugitive inside, Wang Yun, sent me out here to deliver a message to you,” the middle-aged man proceeded to explain.
“He doesn’t have anything hidden on him, no explosives. He can be allowed in,” Master Jue Ming, after carefully observing the middle-aged man, advised Wu Mingyu, Wu Yaoming, and the others.
“Come here, sir, what message did Wang Yun send you with?” Wu Mingyu gestured to the middle-aged man and asked.
Indeed, Wang Yun had something up his sleeve.
“Wang Yun mentioned he wants hotpot. He requests for the Captains to provide hotpot servings for eighty people, with extra portions of beef slices, lamb slices, tripe, and even pig brain…” the middle-aged man approached and hurriedly relayed.
Before he could finish, Everyone around was taken aback. All the Captains from various national program teams exchanged bewildered glances.
What?
