Dear diary,

Turns out I was cursed.

Derin told me that we've been hexed by Rachel's fake mom. Poor Derin keeps on slipping and sliding all over the place. He nearly smacked his head when he fell down from the stairs. Luckily I've just been unlucky at finding plants.

Gerry is unfamiliar with hexes so we might have to go find an expert someplace else. Witches study a different form of magic from the one the tower studies so the others can't help much either.

Derin said we might have to go to the temple and get a priest to cast purify on us.
