CHAPTER 27: Courage
"Like I give a damn," Blue's voice rang out, resolute and defiant. "The past is the past, and the future is the future."
Omega's expression twisted with disdain. "That's a child's mentality," he scoffed, launching multiple shards of metal at Blue with calculated precision.
Blue attempted to evade the barrage, but his rocket boosters failed to respond, leaving him vulnerable to the onslaught. With a determined grit, he braced himself, taking the brunt of Omega's attack head-on.
"You are such a disappointment, Blue," Omega spat, his voice dripping with contempt as he continued his assault.
In the midst of the chaos, a voice echoed in Blue's mind, a memory from the depths of his past. It was Windslo's voice, gentle and reassuring. "Blue, you are special and strong. You just have to believe in yourself."
With newfound resolve, Blue tapped into his inner strength, channeling Omega's own tactics against him. In a stunning display of power, he repelled Omega's attack, sending the shards of metal hurtling back towards their origin.
Omega watched in shock as Blue seized control of the situation, merging the scattered metal fragments and reshaping them into a formidable spear. With a fierce battle cry, Blue launched the spear with precision, piercing through Omega's defenses and sending him flying backwards.
As Omega crashed to the ground, Blue ascended above him, the stars twinkling overhead in the vast expanse of the night sky. With the moon casting a soft glow upon the scene, Blue descended towards Omega, his form illuminated by the ethereal light.
They stood amidst a field of sunflowers, near the beam of extinction where Blue Spirit had met his end. Omega lay before Blue, his body torn asunder, one of his eyes vacant and lifeless.
Blue stood tall, his skin torn and his robotic parts exposed, a testament to the battle that had raged between them. And as the chapter came to a close, the two adversaries stood locked in a silent and solemn tableau, the weight of their confrontation hanging heavy in the air.
