Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 155 – Beedrill’s new subordinates

As they observed the strange rock, both Gyarados and Pidgeot also began exhibiting unusual symptoms. Kanraku, witnessing this odd behavior across their Pokémon, except for Fraxure, turned to Floyd with a look of confusion. "Floyd-san, what in the world is happening?"

Floyd calmly responded, "Remember the large rock I mentioned earlier? The one with the magical ability to make beast learn new moves."

Kanraku, suddenly recalling Floyd's earlier story a few days ago, smacked his forehead. "Ah, that's right," he exclaimed, "So they're actually alright?"

"Yes, they're fine. No need to worry," Floyd reassured him, alleviating Kanraku's concerns.

Relieved, Kanraku approached the mysterious rock and ran his hand over its rough surface. "So, this is the meteorite rock," he mused, studying its texture and composition.

Suddenly, Floyd urgently pulled Kanraku back, causing him to stumble in surprise. "What's happening?" Kanraku asked, startled.

"Look over there," Floyd directed his attention towards Blastoise, who was forming a shimmering blue orb in its twin cannons and then launching it at the meteorite rock.

BANG! The rock shattered, scattering large fragments across the ground.

"That was incredible!" Floyd exclaimed, recognizing the move. "Blastoise just used Aura Sphere!"

Kanraku, still trying to comprehend the events, asked, "Aura Sphere? What is that exactly?" But before he could get an answer, the elder Gyarados unleashed a powerful Dragon Pulse at the rock.

BANG!

Once again, the rock fragments flew in all directions. Pidgeot, seizing the moment, swiftly maneuvered and struck the rocks with precision.

"Aerial Ace!" Floyd identified the move as Pidgeot successfully learned it. Shortly thereafter, the younger Gyarados leaped into the sky, gracefully gliding down in a controlled descent, careful to minimize noise.

Floyd checked his Pokémon's stats and noted with satisfaction, 'Bounce has been learned.'

After observing each Pokémon successfully learn new moves, Floyd began quickly gathering the scattered stone fragments. "Professor, we need to hurry and clean this up. Can you help me?" he urgently requested.

"Of course," Kanraku replied, joining Floyd in the task. Although he was still piecing together the significance of what had transpired, he recognized that their Pokémon had seemingly improved from the experience.

In just a few minutes, they had managed to clear the area, erasing any traces of their presence. "Let's go," Floyd commanded, swiftly mounting the young Gyarados with Fraxure. Blastoise positioned itself on the elder Gyarados's head, while Kanraku prepared to take off on Pidgeot.

Together, they departed from the site, each contemplating the remarkable changes they had just witnessed in their Pokémon.

Upon returning to the Beast's Sanctuary, Floyd and Kanraku sought out Beedrill. As they awakened him, Beedrill looked up, visibly surprised by what they had brought with them.

"Remember my promise to you about finding comrades?" Floyd said, addressing Beedrill. "Here they are, and you are to be their leader."

"Bzzzzzzzzzzz," The buzzing of Beedrill intensified, a sound of astonishment and delight. Floyd had kept his word, much to Beedrill's surprise.

Beedrill, who had felt a pang of loneliness since his defeat by Blastoise, missed the camaraderie of his subordinates. But this place was a haven for him, he didn't want to leave, yet he longed for the company of his kind. The sight of Weedle and Kakuna filled him with joy.

Kanraku then added, "We've prepared a special territory just for you and your new comrades. Let's head there now."

They proceeded to Beedrill's newly established territory, where a large beehive adorned with a modest amount of honey awaited.

The sound of Beedrill's excited buzzing resonated as he circled the beehive, his enthusiasm palpable.

The scent of honey roused the Kakuna and Weedle, awakening them. Upon seeing Kanraku, Floyd, and their intimidating Pokémon, the newly awakened bugs were initially frozen in fear, too scared to move.

Beedrill, assuming his role as the leader, approached them and communicated something in their shared language.

The Weedle and Kakuna, though initially overwhelmed by Beedrill's imposing presence, soon understood his message and nodded in agreement.

Floyd then presented them with specially customized Pokéblocks he had prepared earlier, hoping to make a positive impression.

Initially, the Weedle were defensive, poised to attack, but Beedrill's warning and reassurance persuaded them to give Floyd a chance. Hesitantly, they tried the Pokéblocks.

Moments later, the Weedle devoured the food with surprising speed, their thoughts singularly focused: 'This food is incredibly delicious!' They had never tasted anything quite like it.

In their previous habitat, they rarely got to enjoy honey, let alone such exquisite fare. For them, this was a taste of paradise.

Floyd asked after they had finished eating, beaming with satisfaction, "How? Do you like it?"

"Weedle! Weedle! Wee~dle!" they buzzed in unison, their response a chorus of appreciation. It was clear they were delighted.

A multitude of Weedle bobbed their heads eagerly, while the Kakuna watched enviously, unable to partake due to their cocoon stage. Floyd, seizing the moment, said persuasively, "As long as you adhere to the rules and regulations we've set for this sanctuary, you'll be treated to this food daily. How does that sound?"

The Weedle buzzed in agreement, their only concern being the promise of such delightful sustenance every day. "Weedle! Weedle! Wee~dle!" they chirped, their collective nodding indicating their willingness to comply with any requirements for the sake of the delicious food.

Floyd, watching their enthusiastic response, thought to himself how easy it was to influence baby Pokémon. He then distributed another round of the special Pokéblocks to each Weedle, ensuring they were all fed.

Unbeknownst to the naive Weedle, they had unwittingly fallen into Floyd's carefully laid plan. They were now bound to the sanctuary, captivated not just by the food but also by the new arrangement that Floyd had orchestrated.

Turning his attention to Beedrill, Floyd said authoritatively, "Beedrill, I'm entrusting their management to you. You're now their leader. Take good care of them."

"Bzzzzzzzzzz," Beedrill responded affirmatively, acknowledging its new role with a nod.

Floyd then addressed the Weedle again, "Do you all understand the arrangement?" However, the Weedle were too engrossed in their feast to pay him any heed.

Seeing this, Floyd couldn't help but smile wryly. "Well, they're certainly focused," he mused.

Meanwhile, the Kakuna, though unable to eat, signaled their understanding and agreement. "Kaku! Kaku! Kaku!" they buzzed, nodding in their own way.

Floyd, appreciating their response, said, "Thank you for understanding. We will be leaving now." He looked over the burgeoning community, satisfied with the arrangement they had established.

As they prepared to leave, Floyd pondered the upcoming honey production, which could start next month. The agreement he had struck with Pidgeot, allowing them access to the beehive, came to mind.

In exchange, he had promised to provide Pidgeot with intermediate Pokéblocks daily, free of charge. It was a small price to pay for what promised to be a fruitful venture for all involved.

Floyd noted that Pidgeot, that stingy bird, had already secured 5/6ths of the honey, transferring it diligently into another container. Initially, this arrangement had seemed demanding, but now it was working out well.

Feeling accomplished yet eager for more adventure, Kanraku turned to Floyd with excitement still sparkling in his eyes. "Let's head back into the forest. Where to go next? There's still so much of the dawn left to explore."

Floyd pondered for a moment before suggesting, "How about we try to find Venusaur?"

"That sounds like a great idea. Let's go!" Kanraku agreed enthusiastically.

However, just as they were preparing to set off in search of Venusaur, a loud roar echoed nearby, halting them in their tracks. The sound was deep and unmistakable.

Kanraku, recognizing the roar, smiled wryly. "That must be Ursaluna."

Floyd nodded, a hint of concern in his expression. "He might have noticed our presence. Professor, let's not take any risks. We should change our direction. How about we head north instead? We could search for the King's Leaf."

Kanraku, considering Floyd's suggestion, agreed. "Alright, that sounds like a good plan. And remember, if we encounter another Beedrill colony, we should seize the opportunity to collect more Weedle and Kakuna."

"Absolutely," Floyd replied, his tone firm. "We can't miss such chances."

With their new plan in place, they prepared to fly northward, venturing deeper into the forest.
