Rise of Myriad Magic Emperor

Chapter 174: Graduation Ceremony (Part-1)

[10 am, Core Region, Assembly Ground]

Usually, this place is used for assembling the students of the outer and inner court to notify about the significant changes in the academy's rules and regulations, but today is a special occasion.

The entire assembly ground is decorated with various flags of different societies and groups present inside the academy but two major flags dominating the ground: one red and one blue. The red flag had a respective symbol of a staff with a magic circle representing the ten attributes of magic; the blue flag had a warrior wearing black metal plated armor holding a giant shield in his left and sword in his right hand.

They represented the magic-user branch and Battle Mage branch, respectively.

The instructors of both branches were standing below the two flags.

While the academy ensemble stood still with their drums and trumpets to cheer up the moment, behind them were the rows of students of the inner and outer court.

All of them waited for the arrival of Headmaster Oliver to start the ceremony.

On the other hand, Kai and his fellow mates were standing on the right side of the stage dressed in their formal academy uniform, looking forward without any movement.

If one looks carefully, they will see that all of their hands were shaking aside from Kai, who was worried about different matters.

'Jai betrayed my expectations this time. I can't believe that he spent all his money on those wasteful books. I thought that he had only bought one. Instead, he had bought the entire collection, and it looks like my sister in law was also interested in those books. I can't tell what she thinks. Shouldn't she scold Jai for spending his money on wasteful things? Why is she encouraging him? Are those books really useful? Hopefully, he reminded me that I could use my Fastasia Group Diamond Memberships Card to withdraw money from a nearby Fastasia group shop.'

Returning to his senses, he looked around and found two other rows of students standing on their left side wearing white and black color uniforms.

'Judging from their uniforms, they are juniors who passed the Academy's basic class and are about to graduate and return to their respective kingdoms and empires. Many of them may even get picked up by nobles and officers to train them to increase their private force.'

Looking at the stage, Kai sighed.

'I should make use of this opportunity as Jai had suggested.

The sound of drums and trumpets interrupted his thoughts. Kai looked towards the stage and found Oliver slowly walking up the stairs with a helper accompanying him carrying the graduation certificate.

Walking a little forward while holding a voice amplifier device, he looked at the students smiling.

"Good morning, students. How have you been these days?"

In response to Oliver's questions, he got a thunderous roar from the united student body.

"We have been doing well, Headmaster."

"Good to know. Because you guys have to stand there patiently and say goodbye to your fellow mates, your junior, your senior, today is a great day of honor for them and sadness. Maybe in your life, you never meet them again, or maybe one day you meet them in the crossroads of life. I will humbly request you to witness the graduation ceremony and their faces. They are the new graduates of our academy, new shining stars of the magic world who will one day write their own story and leave their legacy for the following generations.

So, without any delay, let's begin with the students who are graduating from the basic course first. I would request all graduates to share their experiences of academy life briefly with the students.

So, the first one is….."

While listening to the students who talked about their academy life, Kai smiled and looked at Alice, who stood before him. Coming closer, he whispers into her ear in a low tone.

"It has been eleven years now when we made the promise to become magic users together and join the same academy to learn magic. But we got separated for eleven years. You must have gone through many things unknown to me. I too, have gone through many changes in my life in the past eleven years. Still, knowing or unknowingly, we are standing here together, graduating from the same academy on the same day. I don't know what happened, or is it destiny, but I feel lucky that I was able to keep my promise to you."

Alice had a bright smile on her face and nodded her head without any words.

"Same for me, Kai. I also am glad that you are here beside me on this important occasion," muttered Alice in a low voice.

But Kai was able to hear her voice loud and clear.

Clap-clap-clap...

The sound of the clapping echoed in the assembly ground as Lizel left the stage.

Without knowing themselves, the time had passed, and only two of them remained in the end.

Oliver, who was standing on the stage, smiled.

"Students, the next candidates are going to be unique among all the graduates this year. One of them is a very well known figure and idol of our academy. Her natural talent is no less to talk about.

The other is a complete opposite; you may know him or may not. He had only been a student of this academy for the last twelve days and got my acknowledgement. I am glad that he is here with us. Let me present to you the Ice Queen, Alice, and the New King of Buraford, Kai Seft. I can tell you that they are the most outstanding geniuses I have seen in my life."

Kai and Alice were bewildered by the sudden grand introduction and looked at each other with bitter expressions.

"Let's go; the Headmaster has already called our name. We can't let others waste their precious time" saying that they simultaneously got up on the stage and looked at the students.
