Chapter 91
Watching Youxian bite down on the peach cake, he smiled. Although there was news of his consort’s death, things have been peaceful besides the visits to the royal court that disrupted his peace.
Placing the cup down, he asked, “Do you ever miss the days when it was just us?”
Staring at him, he nodded. “I think about it all the time, but I stopped somewhere along the line because living in the past only broke my heart.”
Changling stood up from his place and slid in beside his husband, looking down at their son cradled in his arms. He said, “Last night, I dreamt of the day I took you on a ride up the mountains.”
“Oh that? When we went to watch the view of the evening sun?”
“Is that how you remember it?” Changling asked with a smirk.
Recalling that day, Youxain’s manhood reacted. It wasn’t just your ordinary outing. He was still fighting against the prince before he knew he had to let this man take him captive. Changling spontaneously decided to go on a date, which ended with him being taken behind a bush so that the guards wouldn’t see them, but they could definitely hear his cries of pleasure.
Looking down at the hand that was rubbing his left thigh, he looked at his husband, but Changling’s gaze was focussed on the prince in his arms.
“He’s beautiful, isn’t he?” Youxian said, gaining his attention.
“Ah-Xian, you’ve wronged me so much.”
He frowned. “What are you talking about?”
“First you took my daughter away from me and raised her on your own with the help of someone else and now, my son, you made me hate him instead of love him while he grew inside you. Don’t you think you owe it to me to do it right one final time?”
His words hit a nail through his heart. Sighing inwardly, he turned to the wet nurse and handed the prince over. Looking at Changling, he took his hand in his saying, “You’re coming with me.”
Youxian dragged the future emperor to his chamber and pushed him down on the bed and climbed on top of him, sitting on his manhood. Staring down at him, grinding his hips, he said, “Leave that to fate, but right now, let’s make each other feel good.”

Rolling off of Youxian, Changling pulled him into a hug.
“What are you doing? I’m getting hot and I’m tired.”
Changling kissed his shoulder and sighed into his hair as he closed his eyes, “You really are the best, my beautiful love.”
Youxian swallowed his smile.
“Can’t we go back to the way things used to be? Me and you, in this chamber.”
“We can’t go back. And there is nothing you can do to change it.”
“I love you Ah-Xian.”
Turning to face him, he stared. “You were so handsome back then. You’ve aged in just a few years.”
“I’ve only changed because you are always on my mind. The stress, worry, nervousness.”
“I’m here now, so there is no need to worry.”
“But you’re not with me, Ah-Xian. I don’t want us to just have a physical relationship. I want more out of this.”
He shook his head, “I told you, we can’t change what you’ve ruined. I can’t go on knowing what I do.”
Leaning up on his elbow as his hair cascaded down his shoulder brushing Youxian’s cheek he cupped his cheek asking, “Then instead of fixing things, can’t we start over?”
Staring up at him in awe, he didn’t expect him to say this. It’s almost as if he knew what his wish was.
Looking down into his eyes and not hearing a response, Changling was happy. It wasn’t the first time he thought of this and if only he had tried this when they had time in the past.
“I made you wait, my love, but not anymore. I want us to be together, now and in the next life, in the lives after this. Always.”
