A faint rustling sound suddenly echoed—something had vanished among the trees.

A group of students who had become ninja sat in the classroom.

The teacher hadn't arrived, and the students were busy watching others train below.

However, two stood out.

One was Might Guy, doing a one-handed handstand to strengthen his body. Compared to those around him, his style and appearance were unique.

The other was Kyohiko, who was observing Guy.

Then he continued seriously, "Friend, I've been watching you. Even though your ninjutsu talent is average, and your understanding isn't that great..."

Guy's face grew slightly more sullen.

"...But you have persistence and determination that others lack, and you're not afraid of being judged. That's a talent in itself. Wow, you're truly a hardworking genius!"

"A hardworking genius?" Guy was stunned. No one had ever called him a genius before, except his father.

"I... I'm not a genius," Guy stammered.

"Why not? The Hokage said perseverance is the strongest talent. Most people don't have it. Look around—who else is training besides you?"

Kyohiko whispered.

Guy looked around. Everyone was idle, but Kyohiko was still practicing, controlling a kunai with one hand while appearing to form seals with the other.

Beside him, Yuhi Kurenai sat quietly in her seat, not joining in the noise.

"Did Hokage-sama really say that?" Guy asked in amazement.

Of course, Sarutobi Hiruzen never actually said that. The prospective Hokage, Ryomine Kyohiko, was the one who did!

Kyohiko held back a smile and decided not to reveal the truth.

Suddenly, Guy hugged Kyohiko tightly.

"But I'm really grateful to you, Kyohiko. You're the second person to recognize me after my father!" Tears filled Guy's eyes.

Shocked, Kyohiko awkwardly patted Guy's shoulder. Guy's tears drew the attention of everyone in the room.

The entire class stopped, turning their attention toward them.

Kyohiko felt awkward and out of place.

Guy, reflecting on his emotions, wiped away his tears.

A woman's voice broke the tension.

"Guy-kun, who was the first person?"

The whole class turned to Guy.

Without hesitation, Guy proudly declared, "Of course, it's my eternal rival, Hatake Kakashi!"

Everyone was initially stunned, then curious, and some even laughed.

"Right! I could say Kakashi is my eternal rival, too!" someone joked.

"Kakashi graduated at five and became a chunin at six," another student added.

Guy fell silent as the class erupted in laughter, but Kyohiko patted his shoulder again and spoke sincerely.

"If you aim for first place, you'll get closer to it. If you're satisfied with second or third place, you might end up fourth or fifth. Guy, believe in yourself. You're Kakashi's eternal rival!"

"Kyohiko-kun!" Guy exclaimed, beaming. He wasn't crying now; he was thrilled and happy. "You understand me, just like my father!"

As Guy laughed and cried simultaneously, Kyohiko sighed inwardly.

His goal was Kakashi, but his own aim was to surpass Guy in the future.

Everyone has their own bright future.
