Chapter 152: Chapter 152: The Wrath of the Twins
William and his group were just about to leave when an unwelcome visitor made an appearance: Malfoy.
Malfoy caught sight of William and looked hesitant before putting on a bold front. "Stark, I'm here to buy something."
"Oh? And what do you want to buy?" William waved his wand, and a thick parchment floated in midair, flipping its pages until it stopped at Malfoy's section.
On the page marked for Draco Malfoy, it was densely filled with notes, listing all his recent orders.
Malfoy must have been a compulsive shopper, indulging without restraint.
"Do you have any bags like Longbottom's—the ones that can hold lots of stuff?" Malfoy asked.
He had found Neville's bag during Flying lessons, leading to the conflict with Harry. That bag was a gift from William, and Malfoy had recognized the mark of Akali's Mystery Shop on it.
William nodded. "That type of bag? Of course, we have it. The price is thirty Galleons."
William's pricing wasn't steep. The Undetectable Extension Charm was a highly advanced piece of magic that most wizards couldn't perform.
A simple tent enchanted with the charm could cost several hundred Galleons at minimum, sometimes thousands.
Even though it took William a lot of time and effort to practice and perfect his crafting, his products were priced lower than the market rate as they were his practice creations.
"Should I stick to the usual design requirements?" William asked with feigned kindness. "Or, I can craft it into a ring, bracelet, or pendant form."
William pulled a ring out of his pocket and tossed it to Malfoy.
It was an ordinary ring, but inside it, a small cavity was expanded with an Undetectable Extension Charm. A Stasis Charm ensured nothing would fall out.
This idea was inspired by Dumbledore, who had placed a similar ring on Drogon's claw, allowing safe correspondence with Anne.
Rings undoubtedly appeared more sophisticated than bags or pouches.
Although technically more challenging to make, the elegant design meant that the price could be several times higher—a typical trick to overcharge the less informed.
Wizards with the skills to use such magic could easily rake in money.
"How much for this type of ring?" Malfoy asked immediately.
"If you want to add the Malfoy family crest or a Slytherin insignia, and you provide the base ring, I'll charge only 200 Galleons," William said with a smile.
"Deal!" Malfoy agreed without hesitation.
Two hundred Galleons was a fortune for the average wizard, but for the Malfoys, it was pocket change. If the price were too low, Malfoy might even feel insulted.
Having secured his purchase, Malfoy seemed to grow bolder.
He even dared to provoke Harry. "Enjoying your last meal, Potter? When are you catching the train back to the Muggle world?"
"Now that you've set foot back on the ground and have your little friends to back you up, you're acting all tough again, huh?," Harry finally shot back.
"Mind your own business... Are you packing already?"
Unable to hold back, Ron boasted, "Harry's not going anywhere. He's going to be the Gryffindor Seeker, the youngest in a century! If you hadn't caused trouble during class today, Professor McGonagall wouldn't have noticed him."
Malfoy's face contorted as if he'd been punched.
He looked at Harry's grin, who was suppressing a laugh.
"That's right," Harry added. "I owe you for that."
Malfoy clenched his fists, staring at Harry's smiling face with dizziness.
He realized for the first time that even the esteemed Hogwarts was unfair—some people could escape punishment for their mistakes and even get rewarded.
Privilege existed.
And the worst part? He didn't have it.
After taking several breaths to steady himself, Malfoy prepared to leave but turned back halfway.
"Potter, care for a duel? Just the two of us. If you agree, we'll meet in the Trophy Room tonight at midnight. Wizards' dueling rules—wands only, no physical contact."
"What's the matter? I suppose you've never heard of a wizard's duel, have you?" he sneered.
Harry was bewildered, but Ron jumped in, "Of course, he has! I'm his second. Who's yours?"
Malfoy glanced at Ron with disdain before looking at Crabbe and Goyle behind him, weighing his options.
"Crabbe," he said. "Midnight in the Trophy Room. It's always unlocked."
Once Ron agreed, Malfoy hurried off. Fred whistled and teased, "A midnight duel, Harry? Good for you! If you want some tips on useful spells, I can teach you. No charge."
Harry was tempted, but Ron angrily interrupted. "What's wrong with you?!"
George looked at him in surprise. "What's your problem, Ron?"
"He's Malfoy!" Ron shouted, his voice rising. "Lucius Malfoy's son! Dad's mortal enemy! And you…"
Ron was clearly grasping for the right words to describe the twins' audacity.
"…sold him something! Is this what you two do every day?"
Fred looked genuinely baffled. "Don't be ridiculous, Ron. The ring was made by William, and he sold it."
"Exactly," William said with a shrug. "I have no personal grudge against Malfoy. If he pays for my work, why wouldn't I sell it?"
Ron's expression wavered turning sour and stormy.
He turned to the twins and snapped, "What about the map? That's from your shop, isn't it? I've seen loads of Slytherin students using them. No wonder you can afford a Nimbus 2000…"
"Yes, Weasley," Cho chimed in from beside the twins, her tone stern. "Most Slytherin orders come through me and Cedric. I don't see why we shouldn't sell to our classmates. They're our schoolmates, after all."
Hearing Cho's remarks, Ron quickly shifted his focus to the twins, jabbing, "Even if it's not your sale, don't you use the profits? What about those 200 Galleons for the ring?"
Fred, fuming, seemed ready to curse Ron but was held back by George. George's face was eerily calm as he said, "Ron, let me tell you something. We didn't want to mention it, but here it is.
"Since May, Fred and I have been sending money home every month. In September alone, we sent 100 Galleons.
"That was last weekend. How do you think your pocket money suddenly increased so much?"
George's voice sharpened as he said, "You're spending the money we earned."
