-Zeke POV-

*Sip*

I gazed at the girl in front of me with calm eyes after I took a sip from my coffee.

The girl, who looked to be about the same age as me. She has brown hair nearing that of black color shade and similarly brown colored gorgeous eyes.

She wore what seems to be a highschool uniform that I saw some student similarly wore when I took a walk a while back.

More Importantly is that, I know who this girl exactly is.

Sayu Ogiwara.

The female main character of the anime "Higehiro" who had a pretty tragic backstory, of constantly being bullied and isolated.

And when she finally got a friend, that friend ended up getting bullied in turn and that leads her friend to committing suicide.

Later, after she had enough of what's happening to her, she decided to run away from her home and…well decided to offer up her body to a stranger so she could stay at their place for the night.

Although… It seems that she hasn't run away from home yet, which will later make her find some work, where she will eventually meet the bastard that took advantage of her.

Anyways…I'm just glad I could meet her first, before she went to the path of no return.

"Ummm…so, What exactly do you want to talk about with me?"

I looked back at her, and put down my cup. In front of her was a short cake that I had ordered for her, completely intact.

"Before that, you should eat your cake. I ordered it for you after all, and don't worry, I'll pay the bill."

I replied, before I once again picked up my cup of coffee and took a sip in it.

"...alright." She replied before she picked up her dessert fork and started to eat.

Let's see, to explain why we got into this scene, we need to go back a few hours ago.

***

Latios landed in a remote place inside the school that Sayu was enrolled in. I wondered why Latias had landed here but she did not say a thing before pushing me in a certain direction before flying away.

So, deciding that there wasn't really any harm in following her request, I walked towards the direction she pushed me into.

There, I saw Sayu, sitting down near a shed, roughed up, just staring depressedly to who knows where.

At first, I didn't really recognize her, as it has been a while since I've watched the very same Anime which had kept me from sleeping for a few knights, after I knew her back story..

Anyways, since nobody was really around anymore as the school was nearing its closing, I had decided to ask mew to undo my Invisibility before I crouched in front of her.

"Hello" I greeted her, but she did not respond until a few moments later.

"...Hello" She responded, as she looked at me with dead and tired eyes.

"Ahem…What's such a gorgeous girl like you doing here all roughed up?" I asked, rather awkwardly, hoping to cheer her up with some compliments.

Unfortunately, It did not work as she just stared at me with Apathy. And I sighed at this before I sat down beside her.

Mew curiously looked at her for a few minutes, before she flew in front of my face and made a gesture, wanting permission to appear and patch her up.

I was of course surprised at Mew's request, and asked "Are you sure?" Which earned me a puzzled look from the girl beside me.

Mew nodded, making me grunt in agreement as I nodded. Seeing this, Mew canceled her Invisibility before she used Life dew.

She danced in a circle, with a cyan aura around her body in front of Sayu who was processing what she's seeing.

Not long after, a tiny droplet of water formed in the air, which fell into Sayu's head, which healed Sayu on all her scratches.

In the end, Mew sighed in relief before wiping a non-existent sweat on her forehead before she flew on top of my palms to receive scratches.

"...wha?" Sayu, lost in confusion, mouthed in disbelief and I smiled at this and said.

"Did I finally get the attention of the sleeping beauty?"

"Who…are you?" She asked with hesitance, as she squirmed away from me.

I replied with a teasing grin and said.

"Well, I'm here to take you away, miss…Possibly to have a fun time if you want?"

"Eh?"

Before she could process what I said, I stood up from my seat and offered my hand to her and said. "Let's go?"

I was of course, merely jesting to lighten up the mood, and wasn't expecting her to agree or anything.

But, Unexpectedly, she took my hand and stood up. From the ground.

Sweat formed in my forehead as I didn't expect this, plus I didn't know anything about this part of Hokkaido at all, but I decided to wing it and asked Mew to make us invisible before dragging her away from the school.

In the next few hours I went on an impromptu date with this stranger whose name I don't even know.

Thankfully, I had mew with me so I asked her to fly out when we reached a park to find a mall, which she found not long after.

I brought Sayu to a clothes shop first where I asked her to pick whatever she liked.

She was pretty hesitant at first but I took out my platinum credit card and gave it to the clerk lady and told them that I'll pay for whatever my companion wants.

The clerk happily took it and another lady led my brown haired companion to choose clothes as I waved at her.

In the end, I had paid for three outfits, and a few underwear as anymore than she had refused, so I relented and we went out amidst the happy smiles of the sales ladies.

'Is this what it feels to be a sugar daddy or a rich boyfriend?' I thought before I just shook my head and asked her which place she wanted to go next.

In the end she chose to go to an arcade where we proceeded to have fun for the rest of our time, as I showed my superior skills in the crane games, as I won (with mew's help) a stuffed bear aside from the smaller stuffed toys that I won purely by skill.

In the end, as we left the arcade, I looked at her with a grin and asked.

"So? How was it? Did you have fun…?"

"Sayu…Sayu Ogiwara. And, thanks…I had fun!" She responded back with a smile, but I couldn't appreciate it as I looked at her in shock as my memory of that anime she was in flooded back… especially her back story.

I dragged her away unconsciously before I knew it, and we ended up stopping in front of this nice cafe.

And here we are…

*Sigh*

I looked at her again, just as she looked my way innocently, making me rest my free palm on my face as I sighed once again.

"What's wrong? You have been sighing frequently."

"I… Sayu, It's nothing, I'm just glad I met you"

"...I see. Umm, you've never really introduced yourself yet…?" She meekly said.

"Ah! I'm sorry, I forgot… My name's Zeke. It's a bit rare to hear, since I have been living outside of Japan until a few months ago."

"It's nice to meet you Sayu…although I guess this introduction is pretty late since we had pretty much gone on an impromptu date already."

Sayu smiled in response, as she let go of her fork. "I see, It's nice to meet you Zeke"

I smiled In response and rested my chin on my left palm. "I guess I reached my objective afterall.."

"Objective?"

"Well…it's to see you smile. It's quite cheesy I know but, I really disliked seeing your previous state before…"

"Oh…" Suddenly, her smile vanished from her face as she lowered her head, making me panic.

"Ah, wait, wait… Do you want to order more? Maybe a parfait or something? Girls like those right? Or maybe do you want to go Ina restaurant or something?!"

'Ah, shit! Stupid cheesy mouth' I mentally reprimanded myself.

*Sniff*

"Th…Thank you…" Suddenly Sayu sniffled before she started to sob.

Realizing what she's going through, as I had after all went through the same when I saw the news of my parents plane crashing somewhere.

The loss of a very dear person… and much worse…

'So, her friend had committed suicide just recently…' I thought sadly. before I stood up from my seat and sat beside her to lend my shoulder.

Thankfully, we were in a private booth so we didn't disturb anyone and nobody is here to see her rather vulnerable state.

Seeing her reminded me of myself when I lost my parents to that crash. It hurt, but thankfully I've had my friend and family to lend their shoulders.

Unfortunately, Sayu doesn't have that someone right now, so…I decided to be that someone for now.

"You lost someone precious right?...Me too actually… but, I can feel that it's more than that… the pain you're feeling right now. It's something more, so I won't just arrogantly state that I know how you're feeling.

So, all I can offer you is this shoulder of mine, so cry and let it all out. I'm sure you've had it rough, Sayu."

Suddenly, It's as if a dam was released, Sayu's sobbing turned into a full blown cry as she hugged my hand and started crying behind… My back stifled the sound of her cries from going further to disturb other customers.

And I just stayed there with her, patiently waiting for her to finish releasing all of her grievances.

From a logical perspective, what I'm doing right now seems creepy and bothersome, afterall I have no connection with her whatsoever.

I merely knew her from the anime. Maybe it's just my selfishness that I wanted to save her from what would have happened, but I don't care.

At least I'm helping her before it's too late. Sayu has gone through a lot, and I want to help even if she considers me bothersome along the way.

"Did you have fun today, mew?" I asked my currently invisible feline friend which nodded and huffed happily as she flew in a circle around Saying and I, looking concerned at Sayu from time to time as she most likely felt the negative emotions she's releasing from years of them being bottled inside Sayu.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she's happy again."

Mew nodded before she pat Sayu's head one last time before turning into light which flew inside me, or rather, the flute inside my inventory.

Sayu's sobbing could only be heard for a while as I thought of the things I should do after this.

With the first priority being things I can do to help the sobbing Sayu.

First off, I'm sure that Sayu running away from home wouldn't change as that is a canon event. So the only thing I can do is to help her, as she needs the time off far away from her family for now.

Of course, this isn't a permanent solution as sooner or later, Sayu will need to return home. But I'll worry about that later. The current Issue at hand is to prevent Sayu from meeting that bastard from her job at that convenience store.

…Wait… that's it!

My eyes glowed as I found the solution to the problem. And I couldn't help but release a smile at the prospect of it, before turning my head towards Sayu who had gotten quiet somehow.

"I see…so she's asleep. Honestly, She should be more careful around strangers like me. "I softly said with a smile before I reached out and took the stuffed teddy bear I won at the arcade and put it on top of my lap to act as a pillow for the sleeping Sayu.

I carefully moved her body and especially, her head and let it down on top of the stuffed teddy bear.

I couldn't help but smile as I gazed at her peaceful sleeping face one last time, before I pressed the button to call for a waitress who was surprised to see Sayu's sleeping figure as I ordered another cup of coffee.

***

Sayu awoke from her slumber an hour later and was flustered upon realizing the position she was in, but I just smiled and told her not to worry about it, and asked if she wanted to have dinner with me.

She meekly nodded, so I took her out to a rather nice restaurant after paying my bill at the Cafe.

Finally, the two of us went out of the restaurant with satisfied faces before going on a walk to digest what we had eaten.

In the end, we had arrived back at the previous city park we were on and sat down on one of the benches there.

"So how was it? Did you have fun?" I asked her with a smile as I gazed at the full moon visible above us.

"Un! I had fun. Thank you again, Zeke."

"I'm glad then!"

I took a glance at her briefly before I voiced. "Hey Sayu… Promise me you'll take care of yourself okay? If you're ever down or in a pitch, just call me and I will fly to you as fast as the speed of sound, believe it!"

"Alright! I'll believe you…so, Promise me one thing."

"Sure! Fire away"

"Then…Promise me that you'll say Yes to a request I'll ask you at a later date" Sayu Firmly voiced as she stared at my eyes with expectations.

"Of course! As long as it's something I can do then, sure!"

"Promise?" She extended her delicate pinky finger at me. And I smiled as I reached out my own pinky and hooked it around hers before replying.

"I promise."

"Alright!"

***

The two of us exchanged contacts afterwards, before I took her home to this rather big mansion, but I did not accompany her in front of the mansion, per her request and instead stopped near there.

"See you some other time!" I waved at her, and Sayu waved back, and Just as I turned around, I felt the movement of wind coming from her side so I turned around to see if she wanted something only for….

*Chu~*

Her soft and lovely pink lips touched mine, much to our surprise. I was taken aback as I didn't realize that she would just kiss a random guy she had just met a few hours ago, especially since she wasn't like her anime counterpart and is used to all of those.

Instead the current Sayu is just an Innocent angel who has just lost her friend, and endured constant bullying from her classmates.

As our lips separated, Sayu backed off with a flushed face before running away.

Leaving me behind with a blush as well, without explaining anything at all.

"...I just got my first kiss stolen…"I muttered hazily as I mechanically walked away from her house.
