Absolute In/Existence

Chapter 64: An Old Lady's Soul

A couple of minutes before, Sora had turned around and looked at Mirio.

Mirio didn't look like himself, Sora could see that it wasn't Mirio who was in control of his own body. The crazy eyes that Mirio had told him that. He had an aged air to him, as if he had lived for centuries.

His eyes narrowed and he now realized that Mirio really was possessed.

"Who are you?" Sora asked as he looked at Mirio.

The possessed friend smiled wickedly. With cunning eyes, they smiled and slowly walked towards Sora, their voice sounding ambiguous.

"Who I am is of no importance." Possessed Mirio approached Sora, manic eyes locked on to, strangely with familiarity. "You, however, are a very bad person."

Sora frowned.

Aside from the strange look in possessed Mirio's eyes that seemed to be filled with familiarity as they looked at him, Sora began to feel his golden blood move. It heated up and flowed out of his heart and pumped through his veins.

It traveled over his body and when it passed through his eyes, Sora felt his vision change.

His eyes widened.

The world didn't change much, but Sora saw strings spring out of Mirio's body. Unconsciously, Sora followed the strings and found something mystical and odd. An old lady in strange robes floating above Mirio.

The same wicked grin and eyes filled with familiarity.

Yet strangely, when Sora looked into the old woman's eyes, he felt a strange sensation deep within himself. It was… strange… as if he should recognize her. A deep seated hatred towards her.

At first, he believed that her strange state was caused by a quirk, but his intuition told him otherwise. She's dangerous, his heart told him.

"You…"

Possessed Mirio opened his mouth, but Sora no longer heard the voice coming from him, but from the old lady. Her eyes twinkled with interest and her lips curled in mockery.

"After many incarnations… you finally looked at me again!" The old lady laughed, loudly. She was cackling in a maniacal manner. She twisted in the air, laughing at Sora and the look in his eyes.

"Who the hell are you?" Sora asked once more, his mind calm, but his heart pumping blood angrily.

It was strange to him. He didn't know where the anger came from, but he knew it truly came from him. Either from his own lost memories, or another unexplained reason.

"Hahaha!" The old lady smiled, her eyes full of mockery as she opened her mouth. "You damn parasite! I'll humor you before killing you."

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, confused. His mind was crystal clear, calm and tranquil, but his heart contained a blazing fire of anger that came from deep within his being.

"You're a blasphemous bastard… Heaven." Her words caused Sora's mind to shake.

Heaven…

'Is that the place, Heaven? But… she addressed me with it…'

Sora stepped back, the old lady approaching with Mirio. Her face was slowly twisting from the beginning devilish glee to a maniacal anger. Her eyebrows furrowed in anger and her mouth twisting into a large frown.

"You're a bastard!"

"A parasite!"

The old lady began cursing and yelled, her eyes growing wide with madness.

"You're a disgusting impostor! A mere parasite that should be removed from existence!"

The old lady controlled Mirio, activating his quirk and sending him through the floor, the old lady disappearing along with him.

Sora looked around warily, his senses rising to the max. He moved his body around, pivoting and ready to receive an attack from Mirio.

"I've killed many of your incarnations, Parasite." A whisper from behind him, a cold voice laced with anger. "You don't even deserve a name. Nor any life."

Bang!

Mirio appeared behind Sora, punching him in the waist before permeating into the floor once more and disappearing. The punch actually left some damage, and his body with powerful regenerative abilities is having difficulties.

"Just who are you?!" Sora yelled.

"I'm your personal Reaper!" The old lady yelled, her voice echoing all over the dark area he was in. "I'm a cleaner! I go around searching for you, killing you every time I find you. Killing every family of yours, Heaven."

Sora felt his heart beat rapidly, feeling something ominous coming.

"It took me a while to kill the family from your previous incarnation, Parasite. You're a damn insect. Your damn insect family was everywhere and I had to deal with all of them." The old lady yelled angrily, her screeching voice hurting Sora's ears. "Your wives… your children… your grandchildren… E-VER-Y SIN-GLE ONE!

JEFf! BELLA! VIOLA! EMILY!"

White

Sora's mind had completely blanked out.

That was his family. His family from his past life. Jeff, his son, then Bella and Viola were his wives, and even Emily, one of his sweetest daughters. Sora felt that deep seated anger grow bright, that fire spreading to his limbs.

"You bitch! Who the hell are you?!"

Sora roared.

A cackle spread through the area. Filled with mania.

"It's funny!" She roared with laughter. "You've lost your memories, Parasite. You've forgotten about the Wills of Existence and the hatred they still hold for you! They wish to erase you from existence, but your very presence is a stain, difficult to remove. A plague!"

Sora grit his teeth, the muscles of his jaws clenching so tightly that his teeth could possibly turn to dust.

"There are many hired hands, searching for you. Everytime you die and reincarnate, we are already there waiting for you. Killing you everytime we find you. Getting rid of you!"

BANG!

Possessed Mirio appeared out of the ground, his fist striking Sora's chin and knocking him high into the air.

"You were always a fool. One to always fall at our hands. The Wills are always happy to hear how much we torment you!"

The old lady roared and sent Mirio right behind Sora. She had Mirio continue to attack Sora, sending various punches that were weird. Each punch left an injury that was difficult for Sora's body to heal.

"Shut up!" Sora angrily yelled, feeling his head pulse in pain.

He waved his fists at her, but they went right through her body. She laughed in response, mocking him and his poor attempt at hurting her. She controlled Mirio and continued attacking Sora.

Nothing Sora did to either of them could hurt them.

"Hahaha!" The old lady laughed, fighting Sora through Mirio. "Every single family of yours, dead! Even your first father!"

She continued speaking, making fun of him and mocking his existence. Past lives he has never heard of before.

First… Father?

At those words, Sora felt the pain in his head increase before feeling a chain snap within his head. Memories from his 'first life' appearing in his mind playing.

"Heaven!"

He could just hear his father(?), calling out a name that felt both familiar and unfamiliar.

His surroundings were no longer dark, he was in a bright area. Inside a large and spacious place with pillars surrounding him. Sora was no longer wearing his martial clothing, but a pure white robe that had an air of elegance to it.

"Heaven!"

Looking around, Sora walked around, following the source of the voice. He passed by various people, all of them bowing to him in his presence. They looked at him with utmost respect and reverence.

Sora found it weird, but the more he saw it happen, the more he felt it was natural.

He continued walking around, eventually finding a man standing tall and straight. He carried an air of authority and majesty. Hearing footsteps, the man turned and looked Sora in the eyes.

HIs face was cold and distant, but when his eyes fell on Sora, he smiled warmly.

"Son!"

Feeling warmth in his chest, Sora unconsciously spoke.

"Father! Do you need something from me?"

The man smiled and shook his head.

"Your special guest… she might want this," the man said, pulling something out from his robe. It was a small porcelain bottle, it seemed unremarkable to Sora, but he grabbed it nonetheless.

With a smile, he thanked his father.

"I will return now, father."

The man nodded, watching his son walk away, eyes filled with fatherly love.

Looking at the porcelain bottle in his hand, Sora placed it away into his robe. He walked aimlessly, unconsciously finding his way somewhere very familiar. A large palace, filled with only female servants, all of them looking at him strangely.

Ignoring their gazes, Sora stepped into the palace, making his way to a garden in the back filled with various plants and trees he had never seen before. All exotic and beautiful in their own way.

He passed the plants, herbs, and trees, making his way all the way to the center where he found a beautiful woman wearing a black and white robe. Barefoot, she was lightly stepping around on the ground near a mystical tree sapling, none of the dirt was mysteriously not sticking to her soles.

She is beautiful, every movement containing a certain elegance to it.

"Su Liu," Sora called out with a smile.

The woman stopped what she was doing, happily turning to look at Sora and approaching him. Her steps were light and Sora could feel his heart rate increasing as she approached him with a light smile on her face.

"Heaven," Su Liu softly responded. "Are you going to join me in my exercise today?"

Sora shook his head, "Not today, Xiao Liu. I came to give you something."

Looking at Sora curiously, Su Liu blinked her beautiful eyes.

"Here. My Father had this made for you," Sora took out the porcelain bottle and presented it to the beautiful woman.

"This…"

Accepting the porcelain bottle, Su Liu opened it, a medicinal scent spreading out. Her eyes lit up and she turned to look at Sora with an indescribable light in her eyes. She closed the bottle and pressed her lips together before looking up at him.

"I need to repay you for this…" she said, her eyes peering into his eyes. "Come…"

She turned and led Sora to sit down near the small sapling. She waved her hand, a book mysteriously appearing before her and Sora.

"I know you don't wish to step into The Path… but this is a good technique for you to learn."

Su Liu passed Sora the book, who received it with a curious look in his eyes. He looked at the name, 'Formless Hand', before opening the book and reading through it. Every word and image was imprinted into his memory, comprehending every word and the essence behind it.

"If you ever step into The Path, I'll be here to teach you. I have nowhere to go…" Su Liu said, revealing a sad look on her face.

Sora smiled sadly as well, knowing that the woman's strength is dissipating as she speaks. Regaining her strength slowly becomes something that will be impossible for her to accomplish.

"Sora!"

Suddenly, the world around Sora collapsed as Tomoko's voice entered his ears through the radio. Turning his head, Sora found Mirio with a steel bar in his hand, one of the ends sharp and pointing directly at his heart.

'Fuck!'

Sora cursed and suddenly, he moved unconsciously. Summoning the inner force within his body and moving it in a special way through his hand. A formless force spreading out and forming an invisible hand that only he could see.

It traveled through the air, but it ignored Mirio, hitting the old lady flying in the air instead. The invisible hand arrived before her, grasping her neck and stopping her in place. Mirio stopped in response, stunned on the spot.

His eyes blank and his face dull as the old lady's control halted for a moment.

"What?!"

The old lady was terrified. Never, in a thousand years, had she ever been touched ever since she became a simple soul. Now, facing Sora who was able to grab her, the old lady was petrified as she looked at Sora with great fear.

"This is impossible!"
