After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 50 - Romantic Date (2)

While An Yun was frustrated, Zang Ya stood aside, watching the angry An Yun. He found it all very amusing. His little pet, who had never shown anger in the past, could be so cute sometimes.

After admiring him for a while, Zang Ya realized that if An Yun continued to be this angry, they might spend the whole day there. So, he stepped forward, came behind An Yun, and hugged him.

An Yun was still lost in thoughts about his recent failures, thinking about how to successfully shoot the arrow and land it on the target. When Zang Ya unexpectedly approached from behind, his heart trembled, and he was startled, nearly shooting the arrow in his hand.

“Don’t be anxious; take your time,” Zang Ya said.

Hearing that familiar voice and feeling the warmth of Zang Ya’s body behind him, An Yun relaxed a bit but then felt slightly embarrassed. “I’ll do it myself.”

“Don’t move around. Raise your hand, draw the bow, look at the bull’s-eye position, and release it when I say,” Zang Ya instructed.

Zang Ya’s voice remained calm, but An Yun miraculously calmed down upon hearing it. His nervousness dissipated, and he subconsciously followed Zang Ya’s instructions.

Surrounded by Zang Ya’s aura, An Yun stared fixedly at the bull’s-eye in front of him, then listened for Zang Ya’s cue to “release.”

The command was neither light nor heavy; it struck An Yun’s heart, and he instinctively let go of the bowstring.

The arrow left the string, shot straight to the bull’s-eye, and lodged firmly in the centre.

Looking at the arrow that had hit the bull’s-eye, An Yun’s face suddenly lit up with surprise. After shooting so many arrows, he finally hit one!

Zang Ya, however, remained calm. He asked for another arrow from the attendant behind him, placed it on the bow, and whispered to An Yun, “Continue.”

An Yun subconsciously opened his stance and followed Zang Ya’s request.

Zang Ya’s breath brushed against his ear, and the warmth of Zang Ya’s embrace made An Yun feel slightly uncomfortable.

“Concentrate! Keep your eyes on the bull’s-eye.”

The copper ring swayed as An Yun focused on the bull’s-eye, and with a soft “release,” he hit the target again.

The third, the fourth… until he reached the ninth target, it seemed that only the last nine-ring target was left.

This archery booth was already appealing, and now, seeing a handsome young man hugging a beautiful companion attracted a lot of attention.

As the crowd witnessed the young master holding his companion while still hitting arrows, they couldn’t help but cheer.

The cheers grew louder than before, echoing through the air.

When they reached the last target, everyone became inexplicably tense. Even the stall owner seemed hesitant to show any impatience.

An Yun felt nervous, too. He even thought he had never been this nervous during his college entrance exams in his past life. He could hear his heartbeat, even in the midst of all the noise around him.

Zang Ya seemed to sense An Yun’s emotions. Instead of rushing him to release the arrow, he turned to look at An Yun. Noticing his nervous expression, Zang Ya’s own beautiful face tensed.

Zang Ya tilted his head and kissed An Yun on the cheek. When An Yun was momentarily stunned, Zang Ya said directly, “Let go!”

An Yun instinctively released his grip and turned to look in Zang Ya’s direction.

Suddenly, strong cheers erupted around him.

Before An Yun could comprehend what was happening, he saw Zang Ya gently smiling at him, and amidst the crowd’s cheers, he said, “See? It’s not that difficult; we hit the target.”

An Yun’s eyes widened as he turned to look at the target. He saw the arrow embedded straight into the copper ring, hitting the bull’s-eye.

None of the nine rings had been missed.

An Yun was a bit incredulous. He looked at Zang Ya with joy and asked, “Did we shoot it?”

Zang Ya nodded.

Unable to contain his happiness, An Yun gave Zang Ya a big hug and whispered in his ear, “We hit it! We hit it!”

Seeing An Yun so delighted, Zang Ya, though not fully understanding why he was so happy, felt a sense of joy and softly responded, “Yeah.”

The crowd, watching the scene unfold, looked at the two hugging each other and clapped their hands in good spirit.

“Congratulations! Congratulations on hitting the ninth ring!”

“This young master is really capable!”

“Yes, not only is he capable, but he also loves his fulang so much.”

“The fulang is so beautiful, and the young master is so powerful. They are a perfect match.”

.

The people around them chattered excitedly.

Hearing these comments made An Yun gradually come to his senses. He let go of Zang Ya, feeling a bit embarrassed, with a flush on his face.

Zang Ya remained calm, simply looking at An Yun without saying a word.

Amidst the cheers from the crowd, the stall owner took off his gold-encrusted rabbit, the final prize, and placed it in front of Zang Ya. He smiled and said, “Young master, this is your prize.”

Zang Ya turned to look at the smiling owner, then glanced at the inferior gold-plated rabbit in his hand. In the end, he said nothing but took the item and placed it in An Yun’s hand. “This is your reward,” he said.

An Yun looked down at the rabbit in his hand and then up at Zang Ya. For some reason, his heart began to race uncontrollably.

He felt as if his heart might burst from this overwhelming experience; it was beating so fast.

Soon, Zang Ya led An Yun away from the booth to the next stall.

After they left, many others imitated Zang Ya’s actions of holding their partners and began teaching them archery. The booth, which had been crowded moments before, became livelier, filled with an ambiguous atmosphere.

The stall owner watched the scene with a smile so wide it nearly split his face.

As the crowd surged, Zang Ya naturally took An Yun’s hand and asked, “There are other activities not far away. Do you want to play?”

An Yun turned to look at Zang Ya and noticed that there was no extra emotion on his face. He was simply asking him seriously. The enthusiasm he had just felt suddenly faded away.

Zang Ya only treated him as a pet; he couldn’t entertain other thoughts, An Yun reasoned.

After a moment, An Yun nodded at Zang Ya. “Well, let’s go play other games!”

They were just playing games; he shouldn’t have any other thoughts.
