Apocalyptic Villain: Female Leads, Don't Even Think About Running

Chapter 52: Chapter 51: Ouyang Xue

Huizi stared in disbelief at the two massive golden hammers resting on Anna's shoulders, each hammerhead as big as a basketball.

The weight of each hammer was no less than 50 kilograms, yet Anna was effortlessly wielding both and using them with ease.

Ignoring Huizi's astonished gaze, Anna swung the hammers towards the wall.

Bang! Bang!

With two powerful strikes, the wall guarding Xucheng University collapsed, scattering bricks and debris everywhere, creating a four to five meter wide entrance.

This only confirmed Huizi's suspicion that Anna's strength had increased at least fourfold compared to before.

Holding the double hammers, Anna led the way, smashing through the scattered zombies they encountered, turning them into mere pulp before they could even get close.

"Boss, this weapon feels better and better to use!"

The tall and robust Anna had a particular fondness for this blunt weapon.

After clearing the zombies near the entrance, Anna signaled, and the search team members immediately divided into two groups to clear the surrounding zombies.

There could be no threats left at the task's entrance.

"Boss, it's safe."

Ye Zian couldn't help but feel a bit speechless. With just a five-meter distance, Anna still used the walkie-talkie to communicate.

But this was the protocol for mercenaries, keeping communication equipment operational to avoid any unexpected damage that could disrupt contact.

Anna, wielding her double hammers, walked at the front of the team, followed closely by seven or eight warriors with shields and knives, while the rest held crossbows.

As Huizi mentioned, there were very few people around; the zombies numbered less than a hundred, most of them having wandered here for some reason.

A clear female voice rang out not far away:

"You beasts, let me go!"

Slap!

Accompanying that was the sharp sound of a slap.

"Shut up! If you attract the zombies, we'll all be in trouble!"

This comment only made the girl more desperate, her cries for help growing louder.

She would rather be eaten by zombies than endure the humiliation from these two men.

Seeing the situation escalate, two team members exchanged glances and quietly approached.

Under the eaves, they saw two boys frantically attempting to cover the girl's mouth with a rag and tie her up with thin ropes, planning to take her away.

"Lei Ge, should we take care of her here? Otherwise, we won't even get any soup back."

The suggestion made the boy named Lei visibly waver.

When the girl heard the boy's proposal, despair filled her eyes. Unable to call for help due to the rag in her mouth, she struggled even more fiercely.

After a moment's contemplation, Lei Ge gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, let's take care of her here. As long as we bring her back alive, it'll be fine."

With that, he began to undo his belt.

Just as he had his hands on his belt, he suddenly felt a chill in his throat, warm liquid flowing out.

Raising his left hand to touch his throat, he found it covered in bright red blood.

"Lei Ge, did you just piss on my head?"

The boy crouching down felt a few warm drops land on his forehead and couldn't help but complain.

Looking up, he saw a gory wound on Lei Ge's throat, and behind him stood a woman in casual clothes, holding a bloody dagger.

Before he could react, another team member also appeared behind him, slitting his throat.

The two fell to the ground with wide eyes, realizing too late that they should not have come.

"We're here to rescue you."

Seeing the two boys drop dead before her, the girl's panic began to subside as she noticed that her rescuers were women. She allowed them to untie her ropes.

At that moment, Ye Zian and the other team members arrived under the eaves.

The girl scanned the group and, noticing that apart from Ye Zian, everyone else was female, understood she had encountered another survivor team. Seeing their well-equipped demeanor made her unable to hold back her plea:

"Please save Teacher Ouyang! She was just taken by a group of boys!"

Ye Zian was taken aback and asked, "Teacher Ouyang? Do you mean Ouyang Xue?"

"How do you know?"

The girl was momentarily stunned, realizing the only male in the group was Ye Zian.

Suddenly, a vivid image flashed through Ye Zian's mind; it was of a beautiful senior he had encountered when he first attended Xucheng University. She was his class counselor and had stayed on after graduation.

Ye Zian then recalled a potential connection from the book.

There was indeed a character named Ouyang Xue mentioned briefly, the beloved daughter of the Ouyang family in Yanjing. It was unfortunate that her whereabouts were unknown. Considering the Ouyang Xue he knew, with her aloof and ethereal demeanor, she was not someone from an ordinary family. It couldn't be a coincidence.

A bold hypothesis emerged in Ye Zian's mind: his senior was the precious daughter of the Ouyang family, and her fate at Xucheng University was now uncertain.

With this thought, a fierce determination ignited within Ye Zian, and he quickly inquired, "Where did they take her?"

The girl felt a chill from Ye Zian's intense gaze, remembering the other boys' actions, and felt a twinge of fear. But recalling this was her only chance to save Teacher Ouyang, she steeled herself and stammered, "They—they went toward the cafeteria."

With a sigh of relief, she pointed in the direction of the cafeteria.

"You two stay here and protect her. The rest of you, come with me to rescue Ouyang Xue."

With that, Ye Zian drew his Tang sword and dashed toward the cafeteria.

"Damn, it's Ouyang Xue! The former campus beauty of Xucheng University has fallen into our hands. What a great catch! I just wonder if Lei and the others can manage to catch that one who escaped."

Several lewd laughs echoed from nearby.

This was a group of about ten people, each carrying several large bags of supplies, armed mainly with kitchen knives, iron rods, and other makeshift weapons, likely looted from the cafeteria.

At the forefront, three bound women were being pushed forward, their mouths tape-sealed.

"Looks like it's really Ouyang Xue."

Confirming his suspicion, Ye Zian swiftly moved behind the group. Before they could react, he slashed the Tang sword through the air, dispatching the attackers.

The three girls heard the sounds of fighting behind them and turned to see a pile of corpses, realizing that the boys who had been escorting them had been killed by the man standing before them.

A handsome man in his mid-twenties was cleaning the blood off his Tang sword.

It was evident that these men had only resisted for ten seconds before falling to his blade.
