Arya's pov 

I stepped out of the pod extremely refreshed. Only twelve hours had passed since I went in-game, corresponding with the amount of time I spent in-game. I went ahead to freshen up and do my routine before heading to the living room to get something to eat cause I was starving.

The house was empty as Mum was still at work so I set off to make myself a steak, I quickly prepared it and soon enough I was done. I took the well-done steak to the living room and switched on the TV as I ate. 

"And now onto shocking Aqua news! It has been reported that the global superstar was playing the realm of Azrath. About her shocking post on the game's website with the caption "Guess my faction" this is the picture -"

I muted the screen as I took out my mobile to see it was my father calling me. I didn't like him calling me so much just because he was always trying to get me to work for the company! That's my free will flying away right there. I did unfortunately pick up the call

"How may I help you, Mr Lin"

His amused voice floated over from the mobile 

"You could just call me dad you know that daughter of mine"

"Funny. The last time I called you dad you almost kidnapped me to work for the family. It's not going to be that easy"

"This child! Not why I called you but whatever. Come meet me, I want to introduce you to a friend"

"For what reason will I need to know your friend Mr Lin?"

"Get your ass here. I promise not to talk about company matters."

"I'll take your word for it. Send me the coordinates"

I ended the call and looked back to the TV to see them talking about the increase in the death rate of women in the city of Mira 

'that would never happen in Aria'

I rushed to finish my steak and then went ahead to clean up the kitchen, with that done I took another bath and changed into black dress pants matched with a black button-up with the top three buttons undone and completed my outfit with black sneakers and that, I was out of the apartment and en route to the restaurant.

"I miss my hoodie already but Grandpa will have my head if I dare meet one of Dad's friends in casuals! At least it never takes long!"

Reaching the restaurant, I gave my keys to the employee to take care of as I went to the receptionist 

"Reservation for Mr Lin?" 

"Right this way Sir!"

I simply sighed as I followed the woman that was sent to me to the private booth, being called Sir gets on my nerve at times but there's very little thing I can do when I don't resemble a woman and my small boobs don't assist me so I give up complaining, most of the times anyway.

I entered the booth and instantly saw my dad, he was dressed in a grey suit and his guest was dressed in a white suit. I went to my dad who called me closer as he introduced us

"Sam meet my daughter Arya, Arya meets Sam, the chairman of Nevel"

Nevel enterprise. The leading company in pharmaceuticals in the world today, pharmacy is synonymous with Nevel just as technology is synonymous with Azrath and as for the family behind Nevel is none other than the Charming family, one of the top two families of Aria!

"Nice to meet you, Sir!"

I said firmly as I shook his hand, he scrutinized me silently, exerting pressure for some reason unknown to me. I simply ignored it as I took my seat before the waiters came and placed our food 

"When you told me you had a perfect candidate, Lin, I didn't think the person would be this masculine!"

"What's wrong with masculine? I'll let you know she's as soft as cotton and extremely capable."

"Doesn't she play games for a living?"

"She's also the next chairman after me!"

"My daughter is loved by the world!"

"No one shall love her more than Arya!"

"I'm sorry excuse me? Am I being sold?"

I had to stop eating and interrupt their banter cause it looked like I was going to be sold! I'm pretty sure that's illegal but when it involves the two most powerful men in Aria, I wasn't so sure

"You just eat silently ok? Daddy is going to bring you a wife home!"

"You jest! She's not leaving after marriage, your daughter will marry in!"

"Ha! So you admit she's a good candidate!"

"As long as she marries into the Charming household!"

"In your dreams! Why will the next chairman be married out!"

Mr Sam slammed the table as he stood up and glared at Dad!

"I don't care! My baby isn't leaving the house!"

"And my brat isn't marrying into your damn household!"

They were at a stalemate for a while as I silently drank some alcohol, deciding to just keep quiet as this conversation was messy. Before both men could probably start fighting the door opened and Grandpa along with an unknown woman stepped in both my dad and Mr sam said 

"Dad! Mum!"

I stood up in respect to the elders entering as Grandpa came and ruffled my hair, looking at me with pride as he said to the older woman 

"What did I tell you Anastasia, my granddaughter is the best candidate!"

"I still don't understand why with all her degrees you let her play games daily! But yes, she should be able to take care of my baby!" 

"But mum! Why should our princess marry out!"

"Oh hush Samuel, you will feel less stubborn if you know exactly what this kid can do."

"Yes, Samuel listen to your mum!"

"Don't let me come for you Lin."

"Sorry Mrs Anastasia. I'm just jesting!"

"You better. Oi, old man won't you introduce your granddaughter to me!"

Mrs Anastasia said as she glared at Grandpa who was still holding me and looking at me with pride

"Ah yea sure, greet her Arya!"

With that, I went to the woman and stretched out my hand to shake. She ignored it though as she slapped my hand away and pulled me in for a hug which made me freeze.

"Such a big girl! What did you feed her!"

"Genes Anastasia, not my fault your family don't have natural muscles!"

"I will kick your ass old man, try me"

Grandpa just laughed and directed all of us to sit as they continued with their conversation. Now understanding that they were talking about me getting married, I honestly wasn't surprised or feeling disgusted, or bored as I'd rather be playing games right now than having to deal with this. I mean it's not like my opinion is being asked for anything, so I simply focused my attention on my food.

"So we all agree yeah. The wedding will happen in a week yes?"

Mrs Anastasia clarified as Grandpa answered 

"Mmm. The sooner the better. We don't know what other clause that damn contract might have! "

"Mmm. Arya, are you okay with it?"

I looked at my dad who finally asked for my opinion on my wedding!

"I don't care, do whatever. As long as I can continue playing the game either way."

They all stopped to stare at me, a confused look on their faces. Grandpa was the first to voice his inquiry 

"Arya..... You know who you're marrying home yes?"

I simply shook my head negatively and for some weird reason, they were all fucking shocked!

'How the fuck I'm I supposed to know when their name wasn't mentioned at all!'

My dad started asking me practically random questions

"What is Sam's household name?"

"(Sigh) Charming!"

"Ok. You know that. Who is the most popular person in the world?"

"I don't know that."

Shocked. They were shocked again!

"Ok then. Do you know who Aqua is?!"

"Yeah, I love her music."

"At least you know that! Now do you know who Sam's youngest child is?!"

"There's no reason why I should know that."

"Wow! This child of mine only cares about games! Aqua is his last child."

"Your point Mr Lin?"

"She's also the most popular person in the world."

"Right...... What are you getting to?"

"She's your future wife."

I choked on my drink and started coughing, Mrs. Anastasia was softly patting my back as I coughed, I got myself in a few seconds to see them looking at me with amusement like my pain was sufficient punishment for not knowing Aqua was my betrothed!

"Can I decline this marriage?!"

They all swiftly declined me and I slumped on the chair.

 I asked if I could leave and was successfully evacuated and now I was driving home as the name Aqua rang in my ear. Of course, I know who Aqua was. The only musician I listened to, her songs were my literal sanity, my therapy. But loving her music aside, I never tried to research her cause I didn't see a point in it and now, I'm to marry her? A woman that seems to have the love of the whole world?!! Who the fuck told them I'm a good candidate to take care of her!

'why did they decide on me..... I only care about games, one of my cousins would have been a much better choice! I'm just a gamer!'

I didn't think too much as I went back to the apartment. On the way to my room, I had half the mind to search for my future wife but entering the game suppressed that thought and I logged in the next second.

I opened my eyes to see the white ceiling staring back at me and I proceeded to sit up, my movement stopped when I saw a literal goddess on the couch looking at me with interest. Her long golden hair was flowing beautifully, those aqua eyes held innocence and curiosity, beautiful as it is soft! Her porcelain skin glowed softly in the dim lights and her body! God her body must have taken years for god to sculpt! And I don't even believe in god but fuck you can't tell me god doesn't love this woman to give her a perfect hourglass body shape cause damn the legs! The fucking waist! Everything about her screams perfection and when she smiled at me I lost it! 

My heart stopped beating as I stared at her stunned, my mind was worshipping this divine being that suddenly appeared in front of me! I was too enraptured to speak or even think coherently, I didn't even want to think! I woke up instantly the next second though when I realized I was already betrothed to another as I sat up and quietly wore a hoodie 

"Who are you and why are you in my apartment?!"

Those beautiful eyes of eyes looked at me softly and her eyes brightened when she realized something! The smile on her face became more defined as I debated running out through the window before my heart was captured by the goddess in front of me!

"This is also my apartment Miss...?"

"Arya! I mean lloud with a double l!"

My name had slipped out before I could even think it through as she laughed softly, amusement twinkling in her eyes... Her laughter just became my favorite sound.....

'Stop it, Arya, you're engaged!'

My reprimand was flown out the wind the next second though as that beautiful voice spoke 

"I'm Aqua Siren Charming. Since we're giving our actual names and I'm your roommate."

Happiness. That was all I felt as I looked at the woman who was soon to be my wife! The woman I fell in love with at first sight! The woman I won't have to struggle to stay faithful to. I smiled brightly as I looked at my future wife!!
