Chapter 96 The Death Factory Game, The Gates of Hell Are Opened (1)

“What’s happening? It seems like Big Brother is strategizing again. What exactly is he planning?”

“Big Brother already made his move, but he didn’t take all the disguise materials. What could he be scheming?”

“Big Brother said something about revenge. It feels like something big is about to happen!”

“The program’s captains are using the materials as bait, and so is Big Brother. But clearly, Big Brother’s bait has a hidden hook, and the fish already took it!”

As all the viewers watched the unfolding plans of Wang Yun and the program inspection team, they buzzed with speculation from their omniscient perspective. They knew that Big Brother’s counterstrike was about to start.

Could the inspection team withstand his retaliation?

Who was the real prey in this game?

“Stop for an inspection.”

At the program inspection team’s location, posed as ‘traffic police’ at a road checkpoint, they halted one vehicle after another.

“Open the trunk, and present your ID and driving license,” instructed two program officers as they approached a van, addressing the driver.

“Certainly, officer,” the driver replied, obligingly stepping out, opening the trunk, and handing over his ID and driving license.

One officer stood next to him, perusing the documents and asking a few questions. Meanwhile, the other officer went to the trunk for an inspection.

Upon discovering the disguise mask materials inside, he subtly narrowed his eyes. Swiftly, he pulled out a syringe and injected a red liquid into the materials, carefully sabotaging them without leaving any visible signs.

“Alright, no issues, let him through,” said the program officer after completing the task.

A tracker and a listening device were also subtly placed inside the van, and the officer discreetly attached a tiny chip to the driver as he patted his shoulder.

“Okay,” the young driver responded with a smile and a nod, then drove off.

As the van pulled away, the program officer immediately reported to the captain, “Report, Captain. The van contains at least ten kilograms of disguise mask materials, all of which have been sabotaged. We’ve also successfully installed a listening device and locator.”

“Great, now all we have to do is wait for our fish to take the bait.”

Meanwhile, the six captains, departing from the factory and heading back to the program’s special task force headquarters, received this news with satisfaction. They felt they were in an invincible position.

“Wang Yun will definitely seek out those disguise mask materials. This is our chance,” Kolyev said, smiling. “I’ve been awake for over a day and night and need to rest. Alert me when it’s time to act. I want to witness Wang Yun’s capture or ‘elimination’.”

“Heh, sure thing, Captain Kolyev. You go and rest,” Captain Jiang Youshan agreed with a smile. “We’ll have our tech-savvy officers monitor the driver’s every move. If he contacts Wang Yun or vice versa, they should report it immediately.”

“Yes, sir,” a nearby staff member quickly responded.

The vehicles continued on, and the captains returned to the program’s special task force headquarters, waiting quietly for further updates.

Two hours had passed, and Wu Mingyu glanced at the clock, which was approaching 3 AM. He frowned slightly and remarked, “Two hours without any contact? That young driver hasn’t made a single move.”

“Wang Yun might have anticipated our surveillance on the driver transporting the disguise mask materials, so he’s holding back from taking any immediate action. I suspect he won’t attempt to contact the driver tonight,” Wang Yue theorized. “If I were in Wang Yun’s shoes, I wouldn’t risk it.”

“I suggest we all get some rest today and resume monitoring tomorrow,” proposed Jiang Youshan. “They’ve lost access to their disguise masks, and we’ve already located and identified his four other associates. Now that their faces are fully exposed, it will be much easier to apprehend them, even without this bait.”

“Mm-hmm,” agreed the other captains, all ready to take a break.

Over the past two hours, they had been actively gathering information on Hu Sanqing’s subordinates and had scoured surveillance footage to conclusively identify all of Wang Yun’s subordinates.

Meanwhile, near the Linnan Logistics Area, Wang Yun and his team had returned to the vicinity of the factory.

“Dispose of your SIM cards, and put on your disguise masks. We need to find a place to stay for the night,” Wang Yun directed.

This time, however, their appearances had changed dramatically. All six, including Wang Yun, were now disguised, with Wang Yun adopting an entirely new identity, complete with valid identification documents.

“Understood, boss,” responded Brother Hu and the others. They then sought out a discreet location without surveillance to settle down for the night.

Wang Yun chose not to stay with his group, instead opting for a hotel where he could use his legitimate identity to spend the night.

The next morning, Wang Yun rose early and changed his appearance into that of a young man.

Currently, in possession of two sets of identity documents, he was careful not to use or reveal these real identities rashly, reserving them for occasions like staying in hotels overnight. Given the risk of exposure in today’s activities, he opted for an unregistered face.

With ten kilograms of material, he had crafted ten disguise masks, five of which he gave to Brother Hu and his team. Besides the two masks linked to real identities, Wang Yun kept an additional one for himself.

After leaving the hotel, Wang Yun picked up some breakfast and joined Brother Hu and the others, who were resting on a patch of grass.

“Let’s get moving. We have some preparations to do,” Wang Yun told them while distributing the breakfast.

“Boss, is it safe to return here?” one of his subordinates asked apprehensively.

“Relax, we’re in disguise. There’s no danger,” Brother Hu reassured, even before Wang Yun could respond.

“Avoid being caught on surveillance. Our goal is to find a deserted factory,” Wang Yun instructed, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took a bite of his bun.

“Understood, Boss!” the five responded promptly.

They had already scouted the Linnan Logistics Area the previous day. Wang Yun returned here to find an ideal location. Remembering the layout and avoiding surveillance, they reached a somewhat abandoned factory.

Stepping inside the factory, Wang Yun looked around inside.

The sprawling factory was split into two levels, housing numerous containers within its worn-out walls. The place was large, segmented into various small rooms, creating an air of disorder and chaos. Rust coated the doors of these rooms. Notably, the factory had just one entry and one exit.

Wang Yun surveyed the area, a mental blueprint gradually taking shape in his thoughts.

“This location is ideal, perfectly suited for a hunt,” he mused, a faint smirk playing on his lips.

“Brother Hu, come with me to gather some supplies. Everyone else, wait here,” he directed Old Hu, and then the two set off on their procurement mission.

The first purchase was a helmet for Brother Hu. Knowing his face would soon be revealed, Wang Yun aimed to conserve a disguise for Brother Hu wherever possible. Brother Hu donned an electric bike helmet. In contrast, Wang Yun, maintaining his current guise, began purchasing an assortment of items.

Sharp fruit knives, generators, surveillance gear, rubber bands, cutting machines, ropes, communication devices…

Having acquired a list of various items, Wang Yun also purchased a tricycle. He skillfully evaded all surveillance and made his way back to the derelict factory.

“Keep the following part secret,” Wang Yun instructed, as he removed his technological chip and placed it aside, pointedly facing a nondescript piece of scenery.

“What on earth is Big Brother planning now?”

“Why did Big Brother buy all these items? This setup seems familiar. Just like during the Nansu Plaza incident, where he outwitted Captain Hongfeng, Big Brother is again blocking the live broadcast.”

“Wow, Big Brother is definitely plotting something major!”

“He must be, after all, he spoke about seeking revenge!”

In the livestream, the viewers saw Wang Yun aim the broadcasting chip toward an unchanging view, stirring a flurry of speculation and eager anticipation among them.
