At least that's what she hoped but Odin's daughter being a Valkyrie might disrupt her plans because she is effectively immortal.

Even if she may not be able to come to Valhalla due to being banished, Skadi knew Siegfried would try his best to go to her which irked Skadi.

Skadi was reluctant but had to accept it, she felt like her Sieg was stolen from her by a random woman.

She was with him all his life but in the end, she a Goddess lost to a banished Valkyrie.

Skadi still had hope as she could clearly feel his physical attraction to her and his desperate attempts to appear calm were cute in her eye. 

Skadi smiled a little as there was an intense look in her eyes as she gazed at Siegfried's sleeping visage.....

Days flew by as Siegfried and Brynhildr spent their time together in their own love-filled world.

Brynhildr was very knowledgeable in runes and she didn't have any qualms about teaching it to Siegfried, she would also spar with him making Siegfried soak up everything she was teaching him like a sponge.

Siegfried was so talented that he was able to learn everything from Brynhildr and was able to even defeat her in a short time. He had also learned under Skadi as she had taught him before so it was easier for him to pick up what Brynhildr was teaching him.

Brynhildr was very happy and proud of her husband's talent and strength, she couldn't help but worship him more.

But all good things had to come to an end and Siegfried had to bid farewell to Brynhildr for the time being as he decided to return to the empire to inquire about its condition.

Skadi did warn him about a war brewing in the continent and it was more than likely that his stepfather's empire would also be plunged into it.

His stepfather may not care for him but Siegfried cannot just watch by without helping, he was a fool like that.

And during a war, the common people will suffer the most. The longer the war goes on the more suffering it will bring forth and it wouldn't sit right with him if he just stayed back and watched it all happen while he could have done something to help.

So he bid farewell to his wife and continued on his journey with his friend Grani....

" You seem happy boy ~" Siegfried hugged Grani's neck as he neighed in response. 

Siegfried could understand Grani's happiness because, during his stay with Brynhildr Grani went out on his own most of the time and didn't get to stretch his legs with Siegfried.

The journey back to the empire was long and Grani can ride with his best friend like old times.

Siegfried smiled as he patted Grani's neck causing him to gallop faster through the open fields. 

As Siegfried was enjoying the wind hitting his face as Grani zipped through the fields, he felt a pair of arms enveloping him from behind causing him to stiffen for a moment before relaxing as he was very familiar with this embrace....

" Goddess? " Siegfried said after a moment as he felt Skadi shifting a bit before he felt her hot breath hit his ears as she whispered.

" I want to sit at the front " Skadi said in her usual tone but when Siegfried heard her words his body stiffened a bit and he couldn't help but gulp a bit.

Right now he was wearing normal clothes which were pretty light and If Skadi were to sit in front of him or on his lap like she used to do before then surely she might notice something.

All the other times she sat on his lap or in front of him he was wearing armour so she wouldn't notice anything thus his fear.

Skadi seemed to notice his nervousness so she asked in a cold tone " Are you thinking something bad ? " 

" N-No " Her question only made Siegfried feel more guilty as he fixed his gaze on the horizon while trying to clear his mind of any dirty thoughts, but no matter how much he tried he would always imagine her naked form which he had witnessed countless times but he was never tired of it.

" It seems you have become a bit bad haven't you " Skadi said in a cold tone but due to Siegfried having his back turned to her he couldn't see the teasing smile on her face.

Siegfried thought she was genuinely disappointed in him and he was nervous and tried to apologise suddenly his whole body stiffened as he heard her next words.

" I don't mind~" Skadi whispered in his ear while lightly biting his ear and nibbling on it before letting go with a slightly strong bite which stung him a little bit he was in no mood to worry about that.

Her words were like thunder to his ears as he had never heard the goddess sound so seductive .... He couldn't believe his ears.

He wondered whether he was hallucinating, there was no way his Goddess would say something like that. He wondered whether it was a test or not.

Siegfried's thoughts were in disarray and before he knew he was hugging Skadi by the waist.

His mind went blank as he felt Skadi press herself against him and he was sure that she should have definitely noticed his reaction to her.

As he was waiting for her to explode, the reaction he expected did not happen instead she just intertwined her hands with his tightly while pressing herself harder against him...
