Ascension of the Limitless [A TOWER OF GOD X GOJO SATORU FANFIC]

Chapter 1 – Resurgence of the Fallen

Even before opening his eyes, Gojo Satoru felt something different about the surrounding space. It felt as if a mysterious substance flowed throughout everything. With the help of the Six Eyes, Satoru could naturally feel the countless flows of the substance that surrounded him. Suddenly, he opened his bright blue eyes.

"I lost, huh."

After thinking about his fight with Sukuna, he focused on his surroundings. He was in dimly lit area that was surrounded by giant walls with strange murals on them.

"Is this the fabled afterlife? Nah, can't be. No way would heaven be this bland." he thought. Satoru couldn't picture himself entering anywhere but heaven.

Instead of thinking about the possibilities of this place, Gojo focused on the mysterious substance that surrounded him, and with the help of the Six Eyes, he observed it on an atomic level and understood how it worked.

"This substance flows throughout everything. It has a lot more presence than cursed energy." he thought to himself.

Speaking of cursed energy, it seemed like it didn't exist in this place. Same was for air. The substance replaced air, allowing Satoru to breathe, letting him know for sure that he was alive.

"But this weird substance is very interesting. Wait a second, what if I do this?"

Just as he uttered those words within his mind, Satoru tried manipulating the substance like cursed energy. And sure enough, it felt similar. With some small adjustments, he quickly activated Infinity, the neutral state of Limitless.

With the help of Six Eyes, Gojo Satoru quickly realized the nature of this substance and it's similarity to cursed energy. He also realized that he could create cursed energy by manipulating the substance in a certain way, but he didn't see a reason to do so.

"This mystical substance is in many ways superior to cursed energy. It is endless. And I can use it to activate my innate and cursed techniques, even improving them." thought Satoru, seeing the boundless potential of the substance.

As he analyzed Infinity. It didn't feel any different.

While he was thinking, a voice resounded thoughout the place.

"Another one so soon? Things are truly getting interesting."

Gojo didn't have to turn around to feel the presence of someone else appear in the cave-like area. He still turned to face the person though.

As he turned around, Gojo saw a rabbit-like creature standing in front of him. It was holding a staff.

"Welcome to the Tower, young man. My name is Headon, I am the guardian of the first floor of the Tower. What would be your name?" he spoke.

"My name is Gojo Satoru."

"Hmm, I will just call you Gojo. Well then, Gojo. How did you end up in this place?" asked Headon in a curious tone.

"..."

"I was fighting someone, then I lost. I'm pretty sure I died there. That's when I regained conciousness in this place. " replied Satoru, recalling his loss against Sukuna.

"Hey, if I'm alive, could I return back to where I came from, Headon? I have some unfinished business waiting for me there." he said with a relaxed expression, without waiting for Headon's reply.

"All the answers are up there, Gojo. That's all I can tell you. If you want to find your answer, head up. Whether you are looking for wealth, immortality, absolute power, magical abilites or mysteries, just head up. All the truth, glory, happiness of the world - are up there. The Tower is such a place. But remember that this is a hard and painful journey to embark on, Gojo Satoru." explained Headon, lifting his staff.

Hearing Headon's words, Satoru didn't know what to make of them. Originally he thought that he was still somewhere on Earth, but he wasn't so sure anymore. It felt as if he had transmigrated to another universe.

"Haha, Headon, don't you talk a bit too much for a rabbit? Something as insignificant as a small tower cannot hold me, Gojo Satoru, within it. If I need, I will climb this tower, for I am the strongest." said Satoru, a smile appearing on his face.

"..."

"Well then, young man. If you're so sure of yourself, how about we conduct a test? If you pass the test, I will let you move onto the next floor of the Tower." said Headon, his expression still blank as before.

Satoru smirked.

"A test? Let's go then."

"In this Tower, everytime you go up a floor, there is a test to see whether you are qualified to go to the next floor. If you pass the test, you can proceed to the next floor. Tests are decided by the administrators and rulers of each floor. Of course, the difficulty varies depending on which floor you are on. In other words, you need to pass my test in order to go up the next floor." explained Headon, while turning towards a wall.

As he tapped the wall, a blue light flooded the entire area. When it dissipiated, a cage stood in the place of the wall. Inside the cage was a huge fish-like creature with glowing blue eyes. It swam through the air. Well, not air, but you get it.

"This is the test of the first floor, the "Ball"."

Seeing that Gojo didn't say anything and was keen on listening, Headon continued.

"The "Ball" is a simple test. The "Ball" is that round human-sized sphere. It is designed to pop when hit hard enough. To pass the test, you need to go inside the bars and outrun or defeat that monster by popping that ball. Do that, and you pass the test. I will let you know that the White Armored Eel hasn't eaten anything for a few months, it is quite aggressive at the moment." explained Headon, with an inconspicious smirk on his face.

"While your yapping is very interesting to listen to, I want to ask you a question about something. What is the constantly flowing substance surrounding us? Where I come from, it doesn't exist."  said Satoru.

"Oh, truly worthy of someone who opened the gates of the Tower by himself. Fine, this time, I will answer your question. It is called Shinsu. As for it's uses, you will have to find out about it yourself." replied Headon.

"You call that an answer?"

"..."

"Fine, let's just get over with it. Let me make you understand why I am the strongest." Said Satoru, smiling, as he prepared to teleport into the cage.

Just then, a female voice resounded throughout the place:

"Wait!"

A/N: I plan to continue the series, but I won't be able to write new chapters for a week. I have a super important exam coming up and I don't have the time to write chapters. If you have any suggestions, share them with me, I might use them.

Also shoutout to White Overlord for giving me this idea. If you're reading this,  I will try to carry on your legacy, king.
