Ascension of the Limitless [A TOWER OF GOD X GOJO SATORU FANFIC]

Chapter 3 – Evankhell’s Hell (1)

When Satoru woke up, he immediately felt that he was in a different place. He was lying on the ground, surrounded by a field of tall yellowish-brown grass.

As he explored the neverending field of grass, Satoru focused on the countless flows of shinsu that surrounded him.

"Back in Japan, since I had limited cursed energy, I couldn't use Six Eyes all the time, thus resorting to covering my eyes. Since I won't be running out of shinsu, I don't even need to wear a blindfold anymore. That's neat."

As Satoru thought to himself, a very loud voice resounded throughout the whole area:

"Mic test! Mic test! One! Two! Three! Ah! Hello, Everyone! Regulars who have entered the tower!! This is the second floor, and I sincerely welcome you to Evankhell's Floor!!"

"Evankhell's floor is also called the 'Floor of Test'! The reason for that is because this is the level where you are deemed worthy of climbing the Tower!"

"My ears won't survive this." thought Satoru, as the loud voice continued speaking

"Then, leaving the minor details aside, shall we begin with a simple test first? You might as well get a good warmup exercise!"

"The first test is simple! The following are the rules for the first test! The number of Regulars on this floor totals '401'! All you have to do is make that 401 go down to 200! Method? By any means!! The moment the number of Regulars go down to 200, this test will end!"

"Well then, everyone, try your best!"

As soon as the person behind the microphone stopped speaking, the sounds of screams started to fill the air.

Satoru stood there with an expressionless face, still deep in thought.

"From 401 to 200. I had a vague idea already, but to think that tests would be like this even from the start."

Suddenly a middle-aged man in ragged black robes appeared before Satoru. He held a two-sided dagger in his left hand. It already had traces of blood on it.

"Today, regular, is the day you perish." he said

Gojo Satoru stood nonchalantly, a smirk appearing on his face, as the man desperately lunged at him with the dagger. The blade stopped mere millimeters from Satoru's skin, halted by the invisible barrier of Infinity that surrounded him.

Satoru had already adapted to using Infinity continuously. Thus, right before the dagger pierced him, it appeared to encounter an invisible barrier.

"Is that the best you can do?" Satoru taunted, his eyes showing traces of amusement. "You're not even getting close. Maybe you should try a new hobby. Stabbing clearly isn't your thing."

The man had a frustrated expression as he tried again, only for the knife to be stopped once more by the neutral state of Limitless: Infinity.

The man, seemingly having gone mad, started to aim for Satoru's chest. He tried again and again, each attempt more desperate than the last, but the result was always the same.

Satoru stood there, utterly unfazed, his posture relaxed. He watched the man's futile efforts with a mixture of amusement and mild boredom. "Really?" he said slowly, his voice containing mocking humor. "That all you've got?"

The man's breath came in ragged gasps as he continued his relentless assault, his movements becoming more wild. But no matter how hard he tried, the distance between his blade and Satoru's body remained constant.

As the man tried to pierce him, Satoru leaned in slightly, still untouchable, and whispered, "Face it, you might as well be trying to catch the wind."

The man, who had anger and exhaustion written all over his face, let out a growl of frustration and made one final, desperate stab. The knife stopped in mid-air just as before. He staggered back, panting heavily, realizing the futility of his actions.

Gojo's bright blue eyes shined with amusement. "You must be getting tired," he remarked casually, barely suppressing a chuckle. "Maybe you should take a break. All that effort for nothing must be exhausting."

The man, weapon still in hand, looked at him with a mixture of fear and helplessness, understanding at last that he was completely outmatched. He disappeared as quickly as he had appeared.

After the man left, Satoru didn't move, he stood in the same spot, deep in thought.

"As expected, even in this place, I'm still 'The Strongest'."

"Well, this is only the second floor after all. I presume that the other Irregulars are located near the upper parts of the Tower. I wonder if they are able to bypass my Infinity?" thought Satoru, as he waited for the test to end. "The real question is, why is that guy hiding in the grass? Does he think that I didn't notice him?"

The 'guy hiding in the grass' was a person with greenish skin that of a zombie and an aged face. He wore a black cloak that covered most of his body. He had witnessed the scene that had occured previously and was currently thinking about all the possibilities.

"The man with white hair and blue eyes is very powerful. He even let the man who attacked him live. If I team up with him, I could use him as my ticket to the upper floors! Haha, I truly am a genius surrounded by trash!" thought the man with green skin as he hid in the grass, an evil grin appearing on his aged face.

...Chapter 3

/END

A/N:

Shorter chapter today.

Paracule will most likely be a part of Satoru's team. I still don't know if I should change it up a bit and make him a better person or if I should leave him as a scumbag, keeping him in the team just for the funny moments. Might even make it so that Satoru's presence turns him into a better person. Who knows. Still haven't chosen the third member.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter
