Ash Ketchum: Type Specialist One Shots

Chapter 2: Dragon

Tiny sobs echoed in the forever lush landscape, startling the Pokemon that frolicked around the Dragon Holy Lands. Pidgy stopped flying, Bellossom stopped dancing, and Furret and Rattata ran to hide. Awoken from his slumber, an old Dragonite exited the Dragon's Den, wings stretching behind her as she searched for whatever was making such a sound. Sitting on a hill, cushioned by the soft grass was a toddler no older than two, dressed in an Amphoros onesie, with short, wild black hair. Dragonite approached the sobbing toddler slowly, keeping her eyes peeled for anything suspicious. Once close to the tiny human, Dragonite bowed her head to get a better look at the child.

Noticing he was no longer alone, the kid stopped crying. Tiny sniffles still left his little nose, and big brown eyes were still brimmed with tears but he was no longer sobbing. The old Dragonite crooned happily at the lack of crying, and leaned in to get a better look. A big smile broke out on the toddler's face, followed by giggles. "Pokemon!" He squealed, pushing himself up to stand. With a little grunt, he stood fully and wrapped his arms around Dragonite's muzzle. "Mama! Pokemon!" He looked around for what could be assumed to be his mother, but not another person could be seen. "Mama? Mama?" Tears started to pool in her eyes again and Dragonite felt a rush of panic.

"Ryu Ryu!" Dragonite cooed, picking the child up in her arms, wings flapping until they were hovering off the ground. The toddler's tears halted as he realized they were in the air, and he giggled brightly, hugging the Dragon Pokemon. Dragonite sighed in relief and looked around for help from the other Pokemon.

"Free Free?" A Butterfree fluttered forward, purring when the toddler reached out to pet them.

"Ryu." Dragonite tilted her head towards Blackthorn Gym. "Ryu Ruune."

"Free Free!" Butterfree nodded before fluttering off towards the City Gym.

—-------

"Remember to bring back some Leppa berries for Charizard's Pokemon food!" Lance stopped at the Gym doors, listening to his mother call after him.

"Yes Mother!" He called back, shutting the door after him and looking at the Dratini that slithered beside him. He sighed, running a hand over his scales. "Its like she's forgotten that he is my Pokemon."

"Tinhihini!" Dratini giggled before his attention shot up. "Tini?"

Confused, Lance followed Dritini's gaze and saw a Butterfree flying towards them. The Butterfree stopped before Dratini, waving its tiny arms as it spoke. "Free Free Butterfree!"

"Tini? Ni Dratini!" Before Lance could ask what the problem was, both Pokemon took off towards the Dragon's Den, leaving Lance to run after them.

Lance squinted his eyes as they entered the Dragon Holy Land, his eyes having to adjust from the dark cave of the Dragon's den. Just ahead he could see Dratini's tail slither through the grass towards a Dragonite. Lance faltered slightly in his steps. Dragonite only left the Dragon's Den if something was wrong, the old Pokemon was fiercely protective of the Dragon's Fang and took protecting it very seriously. And then he heard it, a bright, cheery giggle that didn't belong to any Pokemon that Lance had ever heard. As he rounded the top of the hill, he zeroed in on the source of the sound. A toddler was sitting in the grass, surrounded by wild Pokemon and giggling as Dratini coiled around him and nuzzled one of his cheeks, while a Furret nuzzled the other, and a Rattata was getting petted in his lap. Lance halted, trying to make sense of the situation. While the wild Pokemon of the Dragon Holy Land, and Dragon's Den were used to the Blackthorn family and the Secret Society of Dragon Tamers coming and going, they never ran right up to them or let them pet them, they ignored them and ran like they would any other human, but they didn't seem to fear or mind the toddler at all.

Clearing his throat, Lance grabbed their attention. The wild Pokemon bolted to hide, mindful not to hurt the child leaving Lance alone with him, his Dratini, and the old Dragonite. The toddler looked upset as his new friends ran off, but got distracted by Dratini, who used a very weak Haze to distract him. "Where did he come from?" Lance asked the old Dragonite.

"Ryu Ryu, Ruune." Dragonite growled, making vague hand gestures to try and explain the situation.

Unable to understand, Lance turned to Dratini. "Dra Tini, Ni Tini Dratini." He explained, purring as the Toddler scratched behind his fin.

"He just appeared?" Lance questioned, getting nods from both Dragons. "You saw no one else?" Dragonite shook her head. Lance frowned and tossed out two Pokeballs, releasing a large Charizard and a younger Dragonite. The toddler clapped when he noticed the other Pokemon. "Search the Holy Lands, make sure no one else is in the area." He ordered. Both Pokemon roared and affirmative and flew off to search the area, Meanwhile, Lance crouched before the child.

"Pokemon goodbye?" The toddler tilted his head in question.

The nineteen year old trainer nodded simply. "They went to find your mother."

"Mama? Mama here?" He asked.

"I-I'm sorry but I don't know." Lance explained slowly. "If she is, we'll find her. Do you know your name?"

Brows scrunched up and lips poked out in what could only be assumed to be a thinking face. "Ashura is this many." He stretched his pointer and middle finger out like a peace sign.

"I'm Lance." Lance introduced. "Will you come with me? We should make sure you're not hurt."

With a level of skepticism far too intense for a two year old, Ashura looked between Lance and the Dragonite. Dragonite crooned softly, followed by a supportive trill from Dratini. Ashura nodded after a moment and held his arms out for Lance to scoop him up. Lance picked the toddler up easily, jolting when Ashura yawned and relaxed against him.

"Tired?" The red haired trainer asked.

"I'm sleepy." He agreed easily, rubbing his eyes with his fist.

"Ryu." Dragonite leaned in, getting one final bet to the nose before she flew back towards the Dragon's den, her job finished for the time being.

"Try to sleep, we should be at my home soon." Lance promised, return Dratini and his Dragonite when his Pokemon returned. Ashura shut his eyes and grabbed a fist full of Lance's shirt. Carefully, Lance pulled himself onto Charizard's back. "Be fast, but maybe not too fast, we don't want to hurt him."

"Grrr." Charizard huffed, as if offended by Lance's statement. His massive wings flapped and he was in the air, flying through the Dragon's Den and towards the Blackthorn Gym.

Neither Pokemon, nor trainer noticed a mischievous little cat Pokemon giggle before vanishing.

—----

Lance stared tiredly at his cousin as she stood on her tippy toes to look into the crib where Ashura was sleeping. The nine year old's wild blue hair kept falling in her eyes, but she paid no mind. "So he was just sitting out there?" Lance turned away to look at his Aunt, a blue haired woman and Clair's mother. Her brows were knit with worry as she shared a look with Lance's own mother.

"From what I understand, yes." Lance answered.

"This is worrying." Lance's grandfather sighed. "Children don't just appear, and Dragonite should have noticed a disturbance, even if it were non threatening."

"Charizard and Dragonite found no other people, and nothing out of the ordinary. The wild Pokemon seemed to like him, but that was the only oddity." The young man informed with a worried crease in his brow.

"Well, what do we do with him now?" Lance's mother questioned.

"Can we keep him?" Clair asked, leaning back to look at the older Blackthorn's.

"He isn't a Growlithe, Clair." Her mother sighed. "I'll call Officer Jenny to put out an amber alert, no one loses a two year old without noticing."

"If his mom doesn't come, then can we keep him?" Clair asked, reaching into the crib to pull his thumb out of his mouth. Ashura grabbed hold of her finger, his grip amazingingly strong for a baby, and snuggled into her hand. A mesmerized grin spread on her face. "Please! Look, he likes me!"

Lance bit back a chuckle, and his grandfather walked forward. "For whatever reason this child was brought to the Dragon Holy Lands, should no one come forward, we can foster him. But understand Clair, his family may be out there and will likely want him back."

Clair pouted. "Okay." She grumbled before leaning down to whisper to the sleeping child. "Don't worry Ash, You can be my little brother! I'll get you your first Pokemon, and you can help me run the Blackthorn Gym when we're bigger!"

The adults shared amused looks, pretending they didn't hear their nine year old family member.

—----

In the end, no one in Johto, or Kanto came forward to claim the lost child. Clair was overjoyed, not quite understanding the situation due to her young age. The Secret Dragon Society did have some skepticism about the boy just appearing in their Holy Land, but after seeing the baby soothe Clair's anxiety stricken Dratini without much more than a giggle, and head pat, their worries were laid to rest.

The Blackthorns quite blatantly spoiled him. There were yet to be any other babies in the house after Clair's birth, and as energetic and wild the toddler could be, he could also be the calmest child anyone had ever dealt with. He seemed to be able to read what was going on around him, like he could tell what anyone was feeling at any particular moment and would react accordingly.

Pokemon too seemed drawn to him, wild Pokemon, and caught alike, be it a stanger's Houndoom, or Lance's Grandfather's particularly snooty Kingdra. Pokemon just loved him, and he loved Pokemon just as much.

The only particularly bad thing was how Ashura, Ash for short, was treated outside the Blackthorn Home. He wasn't bullied per say, but his family name held a lot of weight, and that made other children avoid, or walk on eggshells around him, limiting his friend group significantly. He was able to befriend Professor Oak's grandson when the two went to Johto to study the native Pokemon. Gary was pretty stuck up, and Ash hadn't taken the attitude sitting down. Somehow the two became best friends, no one understood it, no one dared try to understand it, it was just how things were.

And when Ash turned ten, just as Clair promised, Clair was the one to give him his first Pokemon; a Swablu, a small blue and white bird Pokemon from the Hoenn region. With the tiny Normal/Flying Pokemon as his partner, Ashura 'Ash' Blackthorn set off on his Journey.

—-----

"Are we going the right way, Altaria?" 15 year old Ash Blackthorn asked his partner as the fluffy white and blue bird flew above them.

"Taria!" Altaria answered simply, fluttering down to land next to him. "Al Altaria, Taria." He chirped, nuzzling Ash's cheek.

"Good, I was worried we got lost again." Ash chuckled, scratching Altaria under his beak. "Hmm?" Ash felt as if something was coming towards them, at a fast rate. "At the ready." He said to his partner, getting a chirp of affirmation.

Out of the bushes rolled a small green Pokemon with tiny little tusks on each side of it's mouth. "Axew!" It cheered.

"Awe you beat me again!" A voice whined before a girl stumbled out of the bushes, scooping the tiny Pokemon up. She was short with dark tan skin and had extremely long, poofy black hair.

Ash relaxed slightly, seeing as she was likely not a threat. "Hello there!" He greeted her.

"Woah!" She yelled, jumping as she finally noticed him. "Who are you?! What are you doing here?!" She stammered.

"Axew Ew!" Her Pokemon, Axew, scolded him.

Ash laughed awkwardly, reaching back to scratch the back of his head nervously. "My name is Ash, and this is Altaria, we came from Johto. I was actually on my way to the Village of Dragons for their tournament, you wouldn't happen to know where that is, would you?"

"Oh you're going to the Village of Dragons?!" The girl perked up. "I'm Iris, and this is Axew, we're actually from the Village of Dragons!" Iris seemed to vibrate with excitement. "You're taking part in the tournament? We are too! Well, me and my Gible are! Do you have any Dragon Types? Technically you don't need them to participate, but I love-"

Ash stared wide eyed at the 13 year old girl before him, unable to keep up with her gushing. Altaria cooed in amusement, flapping his cloud-like wings towards the girl, the sudden breeze breaking her out of her stupor, and causing her to focus on the magnificent bird before her.

"Ah! You're so cute!" Iris gushed. "I heard Altaria are Dragon Types, but I've never seen one." She reached her hand out, melting when the bird-like dragon dipped his head for her to pet. "So soft!"

"Uh, not to be rude but I was hoping to talk with the Village Elder before the tournament, I was hoping to stay in the village for a little while to train." Ash cleared his throat to grab her attention.

"Oh right! Its right this way!" With that, Iris started down a hidden path in the trees.

"She's pretty wild." Ash said to his partner before returning him to rest and following after the girl.

Iris gushed and talked about Dragon Type Pokemon the whole walk to the Village of Dragons. Not that Ash minded, Clair was much the same way, actually their whole family was, and it wasn't often Ash was able to hold such conversations with people outside his family. Even Gary couldn't keep up some of the conversations since he studied Pokemon in general and not just Dragon Types. Sometime during the walk Axew attached itself to his shoulder, enjoying the feeling of Ash scratching along his scales and helping get rid of a small piece of shed that was stuck under his job and easy to miss.

"Wow, Axew really likes you." Iris hummed, watching as he expertly removed the stuck shed.

"Well, Axew is pretty young huh?" Ash hummed. "He's pretty friendly, many baby Dragons are rather skittish, you've done well raising him." He praised, moving his head just in time not to get poked by one of Axew's tusks.

A proud flush colored Iris' cheeks and she puffed her chest out a bit. "Of course I am, I'm going to become a Dragon Master!" She said matter of factly. "Axew was actually given to me by the Village Elder." Axew jumped from Ash's shoulder to Iris'. "He's my first Dragon Type actually." She admitted sheepishly. "I have a Dragonite too, but hes a bit…brash."

"That doesn't surprise me." Ash snickered. "Dragonite can be very carefree, or extremely brash, it depends on how they were raised and grew up."

"Wow." Iris stared at him. "You sound like you're speaking from experience, do you-"

"Ah Iris, I see you found our wayward guest." Iris was cut off by an older woman. She was short, dressed in a tan covering dress and an orange hijab.

"Ah Elder!" Iris stuttered momentarily.

"Axew."

"I haven't seen you since you were a young boy, Ashura." The Elder turned to Ash.

"It's nice to see you again Elder." Ash dipped his head politely. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, there was an incident in Kanto, a-and Johoto, and a few in Hoenn and Sinnoh-I kept getting side tracked."

She waved him off. "No worries child, Lance and Clair have kept me up to date on what's been happening." She assured him. "Now, let me see them, its been so long since I've seen proper Blackthorn Raised Dragons."

With a wild grin Ashura Pulled out six Pokeballs. "Come on out everybody!"

"Altaria!"

"Mance?"

"Rantrum!"

"Ga!"

"Deino No!"

"N-Noi?"

"Wha- They're all dragon types!" Iris gasped in awe, literal hearts lighting up her eyes as she looked at them all.

Besides Altaria there was a confused looking Salamence, a Gabite happily biting Ash's head, a large Tyrantrum sniffing at the ground, a Deino that was repeatedly charging the Salamance, and a very small Noibat that immediately flew into Ash's arms. The Elder hummed in approval, walking up to each Dragon type with a critical eye.

"This one has just hatched, yes?" She asked, scratching the nervous Noibat under the ear.

Pride swelled in Ash's chest. "Hatched him with Gabite just a few days ago, isn't that right 'big brother'?" Gabite smiled around Ash's head, grumbling happily while gazing at Noibat. "Deino I caught when I first arrived in Unova, so we're still working some things out." As if to prove his point, the tiny dragon headbutted Salamence. Salamence snorted in the smaller dragon's face, causing it to roll backwards.

Ash and the Elder shared a chuckle. "They are all in fine health, and powerful. I can't wait to see how you fare in the tournament, only one Pokemon is allowed during the whole tournament mind you, but it always is a treat to see you battle."

"I'm really looking forward to it, I was thinking about traveling around Unova after the tournament, so this will be great preparation!" Ash pumped his fist into the air.

Elder chuckled warmly at his excitement. "Well make yourself at home and feel free to leave your Pokemon out of their Pokeballs, there's a small inn you can stay in for the time being."

"Thank you very much." He said gratefully.

"Iris please show him to the Inn, and then I would like a word."

"Oh, uh yes Elder." Iris stammered, snapping out of her stupor and nodding to the older woman as she walked away. As she vanished Iris snapped her attention to Ash, who was rocking his Noibat to sleep. Something brushed against her cheek, and Iris came nose to nose with Tyrantrum, who licked her. Giggling, she hugged the massive Dragon Type. "You have so many Dragon Types!" She said happily, reaching over to pet Salamence as well. "So is what the Elder said true? Are you a Blackthorn?"

Ashura scratched the back of his head nervously, hoisting Deino into his arms while setting Noibat down to play with Axew. His face flushed with a bit of embarrassment. "Yeah, I am." He cleared his throat. "Uh Lance is my cousin and Clair is my sister, so I'm a Dragon Trainer."

"Wow, it must be so cool being a part of such a renowned family." Iris whistled, not noticing the older boy grimace. "Oh, I should show you to the Inn so I can meet with the Elder. We don't have a lot of visitors, but there should be a few people around because of the tournament!"

"Thanks," Ash followed her through the village, his Pokemon following. Salamence ended up flying above them, having taken up a lot of the small streets, Tyrantrum wasn't so lucky, and was struggling not to step on things, so Ash returned him until they reached the Inn where there would hopefully be more room. As they walked Ash looked around, taking in the small village.

Everywhere you looked there was a Dragon Type Pokemon, either following a person, or running around with other Pokemon. Two Axew were playing tag in a far field, and a Fraxure was sleeping under the shade of a tree while two Zweilous spared in someone's yard. Three children were running down the path with a Gible and a Bagon chasing after them while their mothers followed behind, gleefully chatting. It was peaceful, and warm, and the dark haired male could only sigh in contentment.

"Here we are!" Iris chimed, dragging his attention towards her.

"Awesome, thanks for the help Iris." Brown eyes flicked to her momentarily before settling on a modest looking Inn. "I hope we get to battle in the tournament!"

"If that happens there is no way you're going to win!" Iris grinned, picking Axew back up.

Ash's smile turned playfully sharp. "We'll see, won't we."

After sharing a laugh, Iris ran off to meet with the Elder. Ash walked into the Inn and paid for a few nights before exiting to feed his Pokemon. Tyrantrum was let back out of his Pokeball, and Ash scaled his back to sit while they ate. After eating they fell into comfortable silence and Ash laid fully down over Tyrantrum's back, allowing himself to relax and his eyes to shut. Tyrantrum, Altraia, and Salamence followed suit, with Noibat flying up to curl up on Ash's chest to sleep after eating. Gabite and Deino however stayed awake and active, Deino reared up and ran towards Gabite, who made an X over his chest and caused her to collide with his arms before jumping back, and repeating.

Ash breathed in the clean air, not asleep but his eyes still closed. He was mildly aware of some looks he and his Pokemon were getting, nothing malicious, some envy, or interest, a few kids really wanted to run up and asked to play, but their parents held them back as it wasn't polite. Content to relax with his Pokemon, Ashura didn't sit back up until a feeling of unrest fell over him. Setting Noibat on the thick fur that sat around Tyrantrum's neck so he could still sleep, Ash slid off his massive Pokemon and looked around.

"Ryu!" A Dragonite growled and dive bombed the resting group, his claw lighting up in an electric flash.

"Sandstorm Gabite." Ash ordered.

"Ga." Gabite growled, claws lighting up before pulverizing the ground, and creating a big cloud of dust and sand that shrouded the Dragonite, confusing it momentarily.

"Slash." On his trainer's command Gabite leapt into the Sandstorm, easily maneuvered his way through the sand soundlessly until he appeared behind Dragonite. Using Slash, Gabite hit Dragonite out of the sky, making him land before Ash. Dissipating the Sandstorm, Gabite landed beside his trainer.

Dragonite growled, having been bested by a pre evolution, but before he could fly into a rage gentle hands cupped his face. "Come on now, everything is okay." A calm voice cooed, gentle thumbs massaging Dragonite's nose. Dragonite felt a rush of calm, looking up to meet understanding brown eyes. Without much resistance, the Dragonite sat back down.

"Dragonite!" Iris called. "You can't fly off like that!" She sighed, jumping up to hug him, much to his embarrassment.

"Is this Dragonite yours Iris?" Ash asked.

Iris groaned. "Oh no, did he attack you guys?"

"Its alright, no one was hurt, and I think we've calmed down now, don't you?" Dragonite grumbled but nodded, crossing his arms. "Dragon types are strong, and a way they get stronger is by fighting. Really it's just in their nature, even the mellowest of Dragonite fight every once in a while to prove their strength. There's nothing wrong with it unless they go too far." Dragonite leaned into Ash's hand when the ravenette continued petting him.

Iris' brows furrowed in thought and she looked at her Pokemon, and then the older boy before her. A determined gleam flashed in her eyes and she opened her mouth, but before she could speak a voice spoke out from the speakers.

"All those participating in the Village of Dragon's Tournament, please assemble at the battle field in the south square. Thank you."

"Looks like we better go." Ash pulled out a Pokeball and returned Altaria. "You guys get some rest, Salamence, keep an eye on Deino for me." The Hoenn dragon crooned, reaching out to grasp Deino by the scruff, much to her distaste.

"Can you stay out of trouble while me and Gible battle?" Iris asked Dragonite, who huffed but nodded. Iris looked at the older boy. "Race ya!" She yelled and took off running.

Ash floundered. "Hey you had a head start!" He yelled and took off after her.

Like the year before, Drayden was at the tournament with his Druddigon, and seeing the man made Iris ghost her fingers over Excadrill's Pokeball with a sense of loss. The Elder gave a brief speech, and started off the tournament. Sadly, Iris didn't last long. Gible wasn't well versed in battling quite yet, and the audience around him made him uncertain, so they lost their third match. In comparison, Ash and Altaria were doing quite well. Altaria was beautiful, fast, graceful, and powerful, while Ash was quick to think on his feet and used the oddest of combinations to win his battles. The Elder had been right when she said watching Ash battle was always interesting, while Lance and Clair were fantastic battlers, as evidenced by their positions as Champion and Gym Leader respectfully, Ash had a real knack for it. He could twist a battle between a Pikachu and a Raichu so that the Pikachu won, or lead a Dragon Type to Victory against an Ice Type. He knew what strengths to bring out in a Pokemon, and how to build them up no matter their circumstances. It was fascinating and beautiful to watch, and before long Ash and Drayden were the last two standing.

"The final battle between Ashura of Blackthorn and Drayden of Opelucid is about to begin, the winner is decided when one Pokemon is no longer able to battle, or a trainer calls forfeit. Ready? Begin!"

"Druddigon use Dragon Tail." The spiky Pokemon rushed forward with speeds that seemed impossible for the bulky Pokemon, his tail lighting up in a draconic green glow.

"Safeguard." Altaria crooned, his body becoming encased in a glittery green forcefield that caused Dragon Tail to bounce off. "Use Ice Beam." Wasting no time the cloud bird fired a cold blue beam from his beak, hitting Druddigon head on, and in close proximity. But Druddigon seemed unaffected. "What?"

"Druddigon may be a Dragon Type, but a simple Ice Beam won't dissuade him!" Drayden advised. "Now use Dragon Claw."

"Ascend!" Altaria flared his wings, riding a gust of wind into the air to avoid the other Pokemon's glowing green claws. "Now Sky Attack." White wisps caused Altaria to glow, while he descended towards Druddigon.

"Flash Cannon." A white beam shot from Druddigon's mouth, colliding with Altaria, but the Sky Attack acted as some sort of shield, absorbing Flash Cannon's power before Altaria collided with Druddigon and pushed him to the floor.

"Don't let up, another Ice Beam!" Altaria fired another Ice Beam from behind, the power making Druddigon stumble.

"Take to the sky Druddigon and use Dragon Claw." Druddigon flapped his wings but couldn't take flight without falling. "What is this?" Drayden squinted and noticed large chunks of ice sticking to Druddigon's wings, weighing them down so they couldn't fly right.

"Alright Altaria, finish this with Dragon Pulse!"

"Altaria~" With a beautiful croon, Altaria fired a multi-colored pulse of energy towards Druddigon that wrapped the Pokemon. Druddigon cried out, encased in Dragon energy. When the flash died down Druddigon was struggling to stand, before falling over, swirls in his eyes.

"Druddigon is unable to battle! The winner is Ashura of Blackthorn!" The referee called out, raising a flag in Ash;s direction.

Altaria sighed tiredly and flew down to stand beside his trainer. "Taria." He heaved.

"That Flash Cannon did more damage than we thought huh? Take a good rest buddy." Altaria nuzzled against his trainer before vanishing in a flash of red.

"Amazing, isn't it." Elder said to a stunned Iris. "He had come a long way from the excitable child I met a few years ago. He has learned much from his journey, and I'm sure he has much to teach as well."

Iris inclined her head towards the elder in thought. Her brows furrowed and she looked down at her Pokeballs, gripping them as she thought. A sense of resolve filled her, and she looked back up at the older teen as he received his prize.

—---

Ash pulled on his backpack, securing it. He had stayed at the village for a few days before deciding to take on the Unova League. He stood at the entrance of the village, ready to head out. "Thank you for letting me stay here."

"Of course." The Elder nodded. "Come back whenever you're nearby, I can't wait to see how Deino and Noibat flourish under your guidance."

"I promise to come back to visit when I can." He promised. "Goodbye." With a polite bow, he turned to head out.

"Waaaait!" Iris screamed, running after him, Axew barely clinging to her hair. She breathed heavily as she came to stand before him. "Please take me with you!" She gasped out. "I want to be a Dragon Master, but as I am I don't think that will happen. I think traveling with you will teach me alot. Please let me come!"

Ash stared down at the girl, eyes wide with surprise before a small smile broke out on his face. "Sure," he agreed. "Traveling is always more fun with friends."

"Really?!" Iris gasped in awe. "Alright! Thank you!"

"Axew Ew!" Axew cheered

The Elder watched the two with a proud gleam in her eyes. Both would become fine Dragon Masters, she could feel it.
