'Is that a trumpet? It wasn't a trumpet even though it looked awfully similar. It was a gun like ak47 with a smaller head of a trumpet'
Carrion was bewildered he chose an archer in the game so why is he getting two guys with objects that looks like guns.
'System, where are the bows of the archers?'
'System don't provide primitive things like bows or cross brows. Even if we provided them, they will be more technology advanced than the weapons used in your world or in this world.'
'Host this is the default gun available for lowest tier archer unit. When you upgrade the tire system you will get different guns for different sub classes in archer field and there will be close range average gunman to sniper riflemen. There will be different weapons for tiers of similar archer as well like close combatant archer will have lower tier soldier with a low performing gun while the higher tier close combatant archer will have a well performing gun like M4.'
'System can you tell me how this gun work? is it gunpowder?'
'No, it is not powered by gunpowder. It is powered by mana stones.'
'Mana stones?' Carrion asked raising eyebrow. of course, he knows what a mana stone is he had read so many novels but is it the same thing?'
'Tell me how it works?' Carrion asked impatiently.
'The mana stone is a stone mined from the alternative world where these soldiers came from. Every weapon or machine in the system is powered by a mana stone. These mana stone vary with different colors. Mana stone's power increases with its color and size. The darker and bigger the mana stone is the more powerful it is as well. Weapons that consume a lot of power to function have large deep colored mana stones in the center. This weapon you see Infront of you has a white colored small mana stone in the center of it and this mana stone add a portion of its power to the barrel when the mana stone is hit with the trigger from the backside. This ball of energy forces itself into the shells resting near the end of the magazine and the shells fire out of the barrel using the force of the energy ball with a lot of power and strike the object Infront of it. This force is enough to make holes in a person with leather armor. Even if the person didn't die from the blast, mana is naturally poisonous to the human body s he will die after a few seconds. The stock is used to balance the gun when it is fired, and you can refill a mana stone with the valve you see on the center of the ride side of the gun and shells with magazine below.'
'Where can I buy the mana stones and the shells?'
'You can buy the mana stones from the shop'
'System is their battleships, helicopters and tanks like objects I could buy?' He asked while eyeing the vehicle tab.
'Currently, you haven't unlocked even the lowest tier vehicle in any of the subclass. For you to unlock the subclass you must build your castle and establish your territory.'
'Can you give me like a hint?....' Carrion asked mischievously.
'I can't access the parts that hasn't unlocked but in the alternative world there were semi-automatic moving sentry torrents that functioned like tanks'
'Woah' Carrion was impressed he already imagined himself descending on Valeria with his newly bought flying battleship until he got interrupted by a sudden how from behind.
"What the?" Carrion immediately looked behind him expecting something to appear, but he saw nothing except for a little bit dark forested area. Carrion frowned his eyes rechecking again for any unusual movements.
"Honey, what was that and who are these people that appeared out of nowhere and why you spaced out before?" His mother asked while holding onto his arm tightly, probably being cautious of the soldiers he summoned. Carrion glanced at the six while slipping the little amount of gold coins he was holding into his pants' pockets. The 4 soldiers moved from the places they were summoned and circled him and his mother like a defense stance while the 2 archers were ahead of them monitoring the sight ahead.
While squeaking mom's hand he said, "Don't worry mom they are friends see they are protecting us". Serenya didn't say anything because either she believed Carrion's kind words, or she was too bewildered by the whole situation and her focus was on the howl.
"The howl before it felt more like a human than an animal" While carrion was talking the two archers ahead shouted "movements ahead on the east side near the large dead tree".
Carrion immediately turned and saw 7 muscular men with long arm and slopped forehead running towards them in an unorderly manner. Their skin was brown, had coarse black hair and they had white paintings all over their body like tattoos.
"$%##@$#%@%@" the one leading them shouted while the two archers aimed their guns at the approaching targets. Once they were in the range two riflemen fired their gun with the sound of a glass shattering but in a high pitch. With that song two shells of white light flew out from the barrels of the guns hitting one of the leading enemies in the head while the behind one was hit in the stomach. As soon as the shells were hit two victims fell to the ground. One person was lifeless while the other person was cursing in the same gibberish language dying in a low painful death of bleeding. When the two fell the others stopped running and stared at the fallen comrades. Dread in the air finally caught up to them and crawled up to their hearts except for one. Fear was beginning to manifest in these poor souls who followed their leader out of nowhere to attack a strange group of people who clearly smelled of danger. While the uncivilized barbarians were regretting their life decision two of the soldiers rushed toward the group with their swords unshielded and archers were ready to fire again with the reload of the shell and the needed rest of the mana stone (if triggered too much too frequently this low-level mana stone will burst injuring the wielder). The two guns fired were fired again while killing two people nearest them in a heartbeat.
Instantly the remaining three people turned their heads, and the soldiers were already near them and their swords were ready to slice anything in their path to bits. The leading soldier slashed the sword upwardly and severed the head of the stunned man in an instant. While the soldier beside him stabbed the nearest enemy in the stomach and split it open horizontally making the intestines to come out. The man fell while the only one standing was the one in front of the soldiers.
The enemy leader was ready, he was neither stunned nor scared, he had a determined face. Two of the soldiers rushed to him with their blood-soaked swords. When one was the soldiers slashed at him from up, he evaded caught the soldier by the neck and kicked the other one with lot of force he went flying crashing into a nearby tree.
"@#@%#$%#@$#$%" The primitive man cursed angrily and started bite the face of the soldier. The soldier screamed like a pig caught in a trap. The primitive man ripped the skin of the soldier's face outward revealing A gruesome bloody scene. Primitive man pressed both of hands on the soldier's head and smashed it like a potato. While all these scenes were going on the archers were done reloading their guns and started to fire on the leader. One bullet went through former leader's right eye while the other went through the mouth instantly the ma fell dead while dropping the lifeless body of the soldier to the ground.
Carrion was watching the carnage from a distant with an unknown feeling he had never heard before and he knew at that moment that surviving in this world isn't going to be easy like he thought it would be.
