Babayaga: Torreto and Wick

Chapter 7: The Boogeyman's Day Off

John Wick sat at a small café, nursing a cup of black coffee. The world outside was bustling, but inside, he found a rare moment of peace. His phone buzzed, breaking the silence.

"John Wick, the Boogeyman, taking a day off?" Dominic Toretto's voice crackled through the speaker.

"Even the Boogeyman needs a break, Dom."

"Well, when you're done sipping your coffee, there's a barbecue at my place."

"Barbecue?"

"Yeah, you know, grilling meat, good company."

"I don't grill."

"Then just show up."

John chuckled.

"Alright, I'll be there."

Later that evening, John arrived at Dom's house. The aroma of grilled meat filled the air. He stepped into the backyard, where Dom was flipping burgers.

"You actually cook?" John remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course." Dom grinned.

John took a seat at the table, observing the lively atmosphere. Laughter echoed around him, a stark contrast to the silent world he was accustomed to.

"You know, Dom, I never thought I'd be here."

"Life's full of surprises."

As the evening wore on, John found himself enjoying the simple pleasures—a good meal, good company, and the rarest of commodities: peace.

For once, the Boogeyman was just a man.

And that was enough.

The End.
