Bats was back in the batcave, with his suit on without the mask.
"Oracle pull up all cameras around the area around the time when the incident took place", with his words multiple videos appeared on his screens showing different angles of the place.
"There get rid of the others and show me camera 14", the other videos disappeared leaving only a video where by one guy burst out of the building an run into an alley.
"follow him", another camera feed was brought up showing the man weaving through alleyways before taking a turn in one without cameras.
"sorry sir, but there are no cameras in that alley" "hmm" the scowl on Jeff's face deepened before he got up leaving with his mask covering his face once more.
In a few minutes Batman had arrived at the alleyway, and by the look of things the police had yet to reach here.
He headed into the alleyway where he soon found the man, all battered and bloodied laying unconscious.
Batman spotted something on the guy and bent down to have a closer look. There was a bat symbol burnt unto the guys skin, Batman stretched his hand out to touch it.
Right before he did the guy regained consciousness, seeing the Batman the guy became scared, started screaming and attempted to crawl away but failed to do so with his broken limbs.
Batman watched him for a few seconds before calling the police and disappeared. On a rooftop Batman watched as the police alongside an ambulance arrived.
"Oracle check the records for people brought in recently, who are branded with a bat symbol", within a few seconds his heads up display had pictures of six people with varying degrees of injuries all having the bat symbol burnt unto them.
"where were they found?" The pictures disappeared leaving a map with six red spots representing where each of them where found. "Analyze the material of the batarang" Batman spoke as he looked at the batarang he had nabbed from the scene.
The materials used in the batarang where now on Batman's HUD as he looked through them carefully, when he spotted something odd. The material used was similar to that off a chop saw blade only thing is people don't use that anymore and have improved the material so...
"Bring up old warehouses and and abandoned factories near the six locations" four new spots where added to the map. "Take out the others leave only the one involved in Chop saw storage or production" with that he had only one warehouse left on the map.
Batman had arrived at the location sneaking in through the vents. Jumping down Batman made his way through the factory and soon arrived at what could only be called a makeshift gym.
Batman looked around before moving deeper in, he arrived and found what he was looking for. There were batarangs laid on a table before himself with Chop saws on the other side.
Batman picked one up before placing it down and moving to the work bench. The work bench had a power cutter on it which Batman touched only to feel it was still hot.
Feeling the heat, he realized that it must have been used recently. Batman's eyes widened before jumping to the side avoiding a batarang which came from behind and embedded itself into the wall.
Batman looked to the source to see a familiar figure in a familiar costume. "Gwen-" Gwen cut him of, " no don't you dare. You told me you were enough and now my Dad is dead because of you".
Her words struck Jeff, as his guilt washed over him once more. Gwen charged at him once more firing batarangs at him, Batman avoided them before ducking to avoid an overhead kick from her.
"Argh!" Gwen screamed at him before trying to punch him with Batman blocking her attacks and flipping her into some crates.
"Gwen calm down", "don't tell me to calm down!" She pulled out to batons and charged at Batman once more pushing him back. *shing* her batons were slashed in half by Batman's batarang, before a knee was sent into her abdomen sending her rolling on the ground.
She grabbed a steel pipe as she got to her feet and swung straight for Batman's head but Batman grabbed it before it could make contact with his head. Pulling on the pipe he brought her close and put her in a headlock.
Gwen struggled to get loose, "let me go" " listen to me" his words stunned Gwen. "I understand your pain, trust me I truly do. I can help you get justice but if you really want to do this you need training"
At those words Gwen finally stopped struggling, " do you mean... you're going to train me?" Batman let go of her as she turned to face him.
