chapter 8
8 – Episode 8
Choi Ye-bin explored the interior of the majestic Matap, which was like a huge palace.
Multiple objects floating in the air, expensive-looking staffs and artifacts placed everywhere, and numerous strong-looking people.
“I heard that there has been significant progress in MacDermott’s magic development research. Once again, people have countless expectations that another great history will be engraved.”
“hahahaha. Thank you for your expectations. However, this is still an ongoing research, so please keep an eye on it a little longer.”
There were a few people who seemed to hold high positions, but they all bowed and greeted MacDermott. Quick-witted killer, Choi Ye-bin could tell in an instant. MacDermott was the key figure supporting this massive Matap.
“You don’t look that old, but you’re amazing. You must have worked hard to get to where you are.”
“I did work hard.”
Choi Ye-bin once again scrutinized MacDerris’ face. He looked like he was in his early thirties. Considering that most highly skilled magicians who earned the respect and awe of many were in their forties, fifties, or even older, he appeared to be quite young.
A few people passed by, and soon a huge room came into view.
“From today, you can use this room. You need some time to adapt, right? Spend a few hours here doing whatever you want. If you need food or anything, just call me.”
MacDerris handed Choi Ye-bin a small magic device.
“How do I use this?”
“Just touch the device and think about what you want to say to me. That’s all.”
“It’s a nice place here.”
MacDerris didn’t reply. In the world where Choi Ye-bin had possessed, half of the population were looters, or rather, if the range of looters was expanded, most of the population were looters. In her eyes, any place would look good.
“Well then, get used to it. I’m busy.”
MacDerris left, and Choi Ye-bin started looking around. MacDerris called it a room, but it seemed too spacious to be called just a room. It had two floors from the beginning, and it looked to be about 100 square meters. Calling it a house would be more reasonable, in fact.
There were many items in the wide space that could be used for leisure activities. Starting with board games like Hali Galli, which was often played on Earth, there were also many games that looked similar to Lumi Cube or PlayStation.
When she connected the power cord to play the game, the screen lit up. But that was all. The specific game was not implemented, and only the endless loading screen appeared.
Finally, she realized. These games were not perfectly implemented; someone had only implemented the appearance.
Why did they do such a thing? Choi Ye-bin pondered for a moment, but her pondering was not long.
He must have missed it. Even MacDerris, who seemed to have everything, must have missed the Earth where he originally belonged.
She thought that his adventurous actions in the community might be related to his longing. Those who left their hometowns are mostly afflicted with nostalgia. It is a phenomenon of longing for the place where they were born and raised, and in severe cases, it can lead to mental illness.
“It must have been tough.”
She felt a sense of pity. The games and board games that were implemented in detail. And every time she saw a model like Tanghulu, she could see how hard he was trying to remember the past.
It was hidden behind a ridiculous facade, but most of them were like this. In the novel’s virtual world, many people had some form of mental illness. Whether it was depression or loneliness or any other difficulty, they all had their own struggles.
Choi Ye-bin logged into the doomed novel gallery.
As an administrator, I felt the need to leave a praising comment while browsing through Macdallas’ posts.
“Surely, it seemed like he enjoyed it when people complimented his appearance.”
Macdallas had a pathological liking for being adored or praised by someone. Was it because the DNA of a sycophant was embedded in his body? Or did he simply want to delegate his troubled mind to the bulletin board and seek healing?
For some reason, Killer, Choi Ye-bin, entered Macdallas’ latest post.
ㅇㅇ [Administrator]: Recommend a lunch menu for today.
Well done.
Despite using the pen name “Administrator,” Macdallas continued to write unconventional posts. But now, even this behavior didn’t seem so bad.
Having been reincarnated into a novel and becoming an archmage, Choi Ye-bin knew better than anyone how much effort Macdallas had to put in to the point of almost dying.
She tapped on the floating keyboard quietly.
Killer – Administrator! He’s a god!
People adored him through a ridiculous meme that they used as a joke. Of course, she didn’t forget to press the upvote button. She hoped that this short comment would bring comfort to his soul, even if just a little.

[Would you like to view the new comments?]
I pressed my finger to open the notification window. It was always a joyful moment when comments were posted. Wasn’t it the reaction of the trendsetters? Whether I liked it or not, the novel gallery was the only place where I could interact with Earthlings before its downfall.
Killer – Administrator! He’s a god!
When I tapped on one of the notifications, I saw countless similar comments.
Killer – Administrator! His abilities are amazing!
Killer – Administrator! His appearance is outstanding!
With each post, praise comments started to increase one by one, despite Macdallas’ posts only receiving hate comments. Some people didn’t pay much attention to the situation.
ㅇㅇ – Administrator, this bastard is creating multiple accounts [10]
Why is the killer suddenly praising every post? Wasn’t this bastard killer just a secondary account?
Someone did take a shot, but it didn’t ignite. After all, the administrator became a certified account by force, and so did the killer.
It is impossible to create two certified accounts under one person’s name. You can create multiple dummy accounts, but certified accounts are limited to one.
I tried to create a secondary account to write a counter-argument.
ㅇㅇ – Why are you trying to badger the administrator like this? You’re like a lump of inferiority complex.
I clicked on the post button, but instead, a clear notification popped up.
[The administrator has blocked the posting and commenting from dynamic IP addresses.]
Ah, damn it.
Come to think of it, I temporarily blocked the dynamic users because they were causing too much trouble.
With an account labeled [Administrator], no matter what nonsense you do, you will be targeted, making it impossible to engage in forum activities. And since the administrator account has become a certified account, any new account will definitely be a dynamic dummy account.
I realized that suppressing the dynamic users was ultimately hindering my freedom to enjoy the forum. I posted a notice shortly after.
ㅇㅇ [Administrator] – Dear members of the insignificant forum,
From now on, we will stop suppressing dynamic users. While shooting is not allowed, dynamic users are temporarily allowed to post and comment.
As soon as the ban on dynamic users was lifted, posts poured in like a flood.
ㅇㅇ – Is it right for this damn administrator to start suppressing dynamic users as soon as he gains power?
ㅇㅇ – Democracy in the insignificant forum is dead.
Some cursed the administrator, but the smart ones didn’t.
ㅇㅇ – The administrator is a god!
ㅇㅇ – Overwhelming gratitude for the administrator’s grace!
ㅇㅇ – Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
<> – I will bow in the direction where the administrator lives three times a day.
The floating ones began to praise as if they had become cultists. They chose this stance in case the administrator changed their mind and started suppressing the floating ones again.
Among them, there was one with a funny nickname.
killer – The administrator is a god!
Killer, who used to only post provocative posts, now mostly wrote about the administrator. Among them, a significant portion was praise.
killer – The administrator is great!
To MacDermott, who knew the identity of the girl who ruthlessly killed more than ten looters in front of his eyes, it was a bizarre phenomenon. In reality, it seemed cold and ruthless, but he soon realized the girl’s intention and felt somewhat grateful.
“Did my words bother her?”
Before warping with Choi Ye-bin, I had asked Killer to leave a comment saying, “The administrator is a super handsome alpha male. I actually fell in love with him.” When she asked why I made such a request, I replied that I wanted to become someone respected and admired on the bulletin board.
Maybe the praise and comments she is doing now are an extension of that request.
It seemed like she was praising me as if she was the only one who would.
<> – The administrator smells like a square.
I can smell the squareness when I read their posts or comments.
ㄴ killer – Don’t mock. The administrator is not a square, but a super handsome alpha male.
ㄴ Author – Oh, administrator, welcome. Did multiple personalities boost your self-esteem?
ㄴ killer – Are you really going to die if you keep doing that?
ㄴ <> – <> Killer’s murder threat
As I watched Killer go and refute every comment that insulted me, I thought that even if people mistook him for my alternate account, I had nothing to say. I considered stopping him, but I decided to leave it alone. There was no need to create more restrictions when there was nothing else to do in the room.
It wasn’t because the praise secretly made me feel good.
I roughly glanced at the bulletin board and continued reading the comments. I blocked the provocations and even if the recommended number of the posts I wanted people to read was insufficient, I made them popular posts.
Popular Posts
killer – Administrator, he’s a god!
killer – The administrator is a super handsome alpha male.
killer – The administrator is a sage who has reached enlightenment.
killer – After giving birth, the administrator said to his mother, “From now on, you are my parent.”
killer – When the administrator wakes up, the sun rises, and when the administrator falls asleep, the sun sets.
killer – At the age of 5, the administrator said to Santa, “If I cry, don’t give me any presents.”
I felt satisfied as I looked at the list of popular posts.
But soon, a riot broke out.
ㅇㅇ – Making a personal statement. Has the administrator lost his mind?
(popular posts list flooded with “killer”.jpg)
Damn it, this is unbelievable. He’s using the forum like a blog. Do you think this makes sense? We really need to impeach this bastard.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ – Seriously, there has never been anyone among the previous administrators who did such crazy things.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ – How did a troublemaker become an administrator…
ㄴ love peace – It’s not good for everyone to fight! How about resolving this through dialogue?
ㄴ holly trust – This is all because of your lack of trust.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ – About our gallery being taken over by this troublemaker…
The scale of the riot was enormous, and it had reached a point where it was impossible for the forum to block them one by one.
“Damn it… I didn’t expect it to be like this.”
I didn’t realize that filling just one page of popular posts with praise would have such a significant impact. However, the administrator was not flustered. Well, he had saved a weapon for a situation like this.
“This was something I was planning to use later.”
Tap-tap, I typed in the air and pressed the post button.
ㅇㅇ[Administrator] – Partial restoration of the research journal of a certain master sorcerer. EP.1 Danger of Mass Destruction Magic.
The research record of the one and only master sorcerer that everyone desired.
It all started with a post from a colleague known as the “board debut thief.”
