Chapter 14: "Abyss Octopus"

Only then did the leader and others understand what General Liu was saying. The refugees from various places not only avoided participating in the construction work but also refused to cooperate with the government's arrangements. Noah boasted while feasting on the mutated sea fish.

In the following days, he indulged in eating and sleeping, eventually accumulating enough "Energy Points" to reach 300,000. By then, there was not much food left in his backpack, only enough for another two days. "Then let's start evolving!" Noah said excitedly.

His consciousness dove into the "Evolutionary Tree" interface. At that point, there were three species in his evolutionary path: "Red Trained Octopus Lord," "Abyss Octopus," and "Demon Flame Octopus." Each type had unique physical characteristics. Although Noah couldn't discern their skills and talents, he could deduce quite a lot from their images.

The "Red Trained Octopus Lord," with its entirely red appearance, was the most massive, seemingly built for physical prowess, which didn't suit Noah. So he quickly dismissed it. And the "Demon Flame Octopus," enveloped with blue flames, seemed to lean towards magical abilities, which also wasn't a match for him.

He is currently a dual practitioner of the spiritual and physical systems and is slightly off track in the pure legal system. Finally, there is the "Abyss Octopus." Although this creature looks the least impressive from the outside, it has no light or bright colors over its body, only a layer of gray-purple skin. However, it possesses an extra eye in the middle of its forehead. At first glance, it appears to be a spiritual type. 

"Then choose this 'Abyss Octopus'!" Noah made up his mind. 

"Ding! You have met the requirements to evolve 'Abyss Octopus.' Do you want to spend 100,000 energy points to evolve it?" 

"Yes, evolve!"

With a bang, a huge amount of energy erupted from his body, directly exploding the cave where he was hiding. The terrifying evolutionary power surged into his body, and his massive body was immediately enveloped in a layer of purple energy. This extraordinary energy alerted all creatures within a few thousand miles! At this time, the great white sharks, green dragons, and giant turtles from the east, south, and north all looked in his direction simultaneously.

"Well! Another super lord is born!" the giant turtle remarked.

Then it stopped watching and began to think deeply. Four super lords were born in their sea area in such a short period. Now the territory might not be enough! There will definitely be a bloody storm in the future, and the giant turtle has already begun devising a plan to deal with it. Previously, the East China Sea was occupied by three of their super lords, and the mutated blue dragon was also regarded as a super lord, albeit slightly weaker. The area where Noah is located happens to be in the middle of the three lords, and this sea area is not too big or too small, serving as a buffer zone for the three of them. It is the neutral zone, where Noah grew up by chance. 

After dozens of minutes, the violent evolutionary energy gradually submerged into the purple energy shield. At this time, only a huge purple energy ball could be seen suspended on the seabed. No creature dared to come close to this place, where Noah was evolving. Three days passed swiftly, and some weak creatures returned to this sea area one after another. Then, the purple energy ball cracked open, and a clicking sound continued!

"Puff!"

A gray-purple tentacle stretched out from the energy ball, and then the suction cup on the tentacle absorbed the energy ball like water. An octopus with a body length of 120 meters, gray-purple skin, and three eyes on its head appeared in the sea. This creature was Noah, who had evolved into a completely different being from the earth. He adapted to his current body for a while and found that his sensing range had expanded to 5,000 kilometers. He located the giant turtle within his sensing range and then settled down, ready to grow and evolve further.

"Yes!"

After growing up twice, he took out all the food stored in his backpack and ate it until he was mostly full. He discarded the mutated Canglong's skeleton, took a bone spur, and began picking his teeth. 

"This Canglong didn't even fill me up! It's gone before I'm fully satisfied!" Noah commented comfortably.
