---

Setting: The Hidden Leaf Village, early morning. The village is calm, but the atmosphere around Sakura feels heavy. She's spent the night in restless sleep, caught between her feelings for Sasuke and the weight of her unresolved relationship with Naruto.

---

The first light of dawn filtered through the trees, casting long shadows across the village. Sakura sat on the edge of her bed, her hands resting in her lap as she stared out the window, lost in thought. She hadn't slept much the previous night—her mind had been racing, replaying the conversations with both Naruto and Sasuke over and over again.

She had never felt so torn in her life. Her heart felt heavy, burdened with the weight of her own choices, and yet she couldn't escape the pull of both men. Sasuke's presence was intoxicating, his touch lingering in her mind, but Naruto's love was a constant, unwavering force that had always been her anchor.

How had things gotten so complicated? How had her heart come to be divided between two people who meant so much to her? She had never imagined that love could feel so painful.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Sakura?"

The voice was familiar, and she immediately recognized it. It was Naruto. She had been expecting him to come, but that didn't make it any easier. She hadn't seen him since their confrontation the day before, and she could feel the distance between them, a gulf that was widening with each passing moment.

Sakura took a deep breath and stood up, smoothing out the wrinkles in her clothes before she opened the door.

Naruto stood there, his usual bright demeanor subdued. His eyes, though warm, held a flicker of sadness in them. He was trying to hide it, but Sakura could see the pain in his gaze.

"Hey," he said, his voice softer than usual. "Can we talk?"

Sakura nodded, stepping aside to let him in. The silence between them was thick, and neither of them seemed to know where to begin.

"I... I'm sorry about yesterday," Sakura said quietly, her voice trembling slightly. "I never meant to hurt you."

Naruto's gaze softened, and he took a step closer. "You didn't hurt me, Sakura," he said, his voice firm yet gentle. "I'm just... confused. I don't know where we stand anymore."

Sakura felt her heart ache at his words. She had always been able to rely on Naruto's straightforwardness, his unwavering support. But now, with everything that had happened, she wasn't sure if she could return that same certainty.

"I don't know what to say, Naruto," she whispered. "I've been so confused. I thought I had everything figured out, but now... now I feel like I'm losing both of you."

Naruto looked at her for a long moment, as if trying to understand the depth of her words. "You're not losing me, Sakura," he said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I can't pretend everything's fine when I know something's wrong. When I know you're keeping something from me."

Sakura swallowed hard, feeling the weight of his words. She had been hiding her feelings from him for so long, but now it was all coming to a head. She couldn't keep pretending that everything was okay. Not when she was so deeply torn between him and Sasuke.

"I'm sorry," she repeated, her voice breaking. "I never wanted to hurt you. I never wanted to be the one to cause this kind of pain."

Naruto stepped closer, his hand reaching out to gently touch her arm. "You didn't cause this, Sakura," he said softly. "This is something we both have to face. I'm not angry at you... I'm just hurt. And I need to understand what's going on in your heart."

Sakura closed her eyes, tears threatening to spill over. She had never felt so vulnerable, so exposed. How could she explain the storm that raged inside her? How could she make him understand the conflicting emotions that she had been holding back?

"I don't know what to do anymore," she whispered. "I don't know how to fix this. I don't know how to make things right."

Naruto's expression softened, and he stepped closer, his hand resting on her shoulder. "Sakura, you don't have to fix anything. You just need to be honest with yourself. And with me."

The sincerity in his voice broke through her walls, and Sakura felt her resolve start to crumble. She wanted to be honest with him, wanted to tell him everything that had been weighing on her heart. But the words felt like they were caught in her throat, refusing to come out.

"I..." Sakura began, her voice faltering. "I'm not sure I can choose, Naruto. I'm not sure I can decide between you and Sasuke."

Naruto's eyes widened slightly, the hurt evident in his expression. "Sasuke?" he repeated, his voice low. "Is that what this is about?"

Sakura nodded, feeling a knot form in her stomach. She had known this moment would come, but hearing it out loud made it feel all the more real.

"I don't know what to do," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "I feel like I'm being torn in two. Part of me wants to be with you, but another part of me... another part of me wants to be with him."

The silence between them was deafening. Naruto stood there, his gaze fixed on her, his expression unreadable. Sakura couldn't tell what he was thinking, and it terrified her.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Naruto spoke, his voice quiet but firm. "I can't make this decision for you, Sakura. You're the one who has to figure out what you want. But I need to know that you're not just stringing me along."

Sakura felt a sharp pain in her chest at his words. She had never meant to string him along, never meant to hurt him. But now, with everything out in the open, she couldn't deny the truth.

"I'm sorry," she whispered again, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't know how to make this right."

Naruto sighed, his expression softening. "You don't have to apologize, Sakura. Just... just take some time. Think about what you want. And when you're ready, I'll be here."

With that, he turned and walked out of the room, leaving Sakura standing there, her heart heavy with the weight of her indecision.
