Chapter 58 - Sheng Yang's Decision
Chapter 58: Sheng Yang’s Decision
After a while, Fang Duo suddenly raised her head. “I’m going with you.”
She decided to dump her private tutor for her lovely beautiful friend.
“OK.” Sheng Yang put down the phone again.
There was still some time before school ended. Chen Lan, the class teacher, came to discuss the school celebration with them. This time the school celebration would be on a large scale. All students were asked to perform at the celebration gala, either individually or collectively.
The trump card of Class One would probably be the instrumental ensemble of Sheng Yue and Han Jingyu again.
Every year this was the most popular performance. Chen Lan had no intention of competing with Class One. During the school celebration, it wasn’t winning but taking part that counted.
“I’ll do a sand painting,” Fang Duo said energetically as she raised her hand.
Sheng Yang took a look at her. Fang Duo was a lazy girl and would usually choose to participate in a collective show because it would be much simpler. Why did she choose to give an individual performance this time?
Fang Duo tugged at Sheng Yang’s arm gently and motioned for her to choose the same as her.
However, Sheng Yang ignored her hint. “I choose the collective show.”
“Really?” Chen Lan looked very excited.
Sheng Yang raised her eyebrows, a little puzzled. Why’s she so happy? I just chose to participate in a collective show.
Fang Duo turned, pulled Sheng Yang aside, and said in a low voice, “This is our class teacher’s quirk. Every year in the collective show, she chooses some students to dress up as various animals to perform a black fairy tale in her heart. But because our class is short of funds, those animal costumes are extremely ugly, so only boys will participate. Yangyang, I advise you not to participate in it if you have another choice. This collective show will definitely become your nightmare.”
The corners of Sheng Yang’s eyes twitched. This was completely beyond her expectations.
She turned around and immediately changed her mind. “I’ll do an individual show instead.”
Chen Lan’s face sank immediately and she looked sad, but Sheng Yang was unmoved. She was an iron-hearted person who rarely changed her mind.
“Okay, but Sheng Yang, there are still a few days left, so you can give it a second thought.” Chen Lan still didn’t give up, trying to persuade Sheng Yang.
“…Okay, but I don’t think I’ll change my mind,” Sheng Yang said flatly, and Chen Lan could only leave sadly.
As soon as she left, Fang Duo asked cheerfully, “Yangyang, what show are you going to perform?”
She had thought Sheng Yang chose the collective show because she had nothing to perform and just wanted to save trouble.
Her thinking was reinforced by Sheng Yang’s silence and she immediately gave Sheng Yang advice. “Yangyang, you’re so good at the Rubik’s Cube, so why don’t you complete the Rubik’s Cube with a single hand? I’m sure the audience will be overwhelmed.”
“No.” Sheng Yang seemed to lack interest. When she had learned something and made it part of her knowledge reserve, she would get bored with it.
“Okay.” Fang Duo stopped trying to persuade her. As the “goddess of learning”, Yangyang would certainly have her own ideas.
Anyway, even breaking a rock with her chest would be better than participating in the collective show arranged by Ms. Chen.

Soon, it was time to leave school. Fang Duo and Sheng Yang were leaving school together. Fang Duo looked at Sheng Yang with a big bright smile on her face. “Yangyang, where are we going?”
Sheng Yang pointed to a place outside the school gates. “There’s someone here.”
“Huh?” Fang Duo was a little surprised. She had thought it would only be her and Yangyang today.
