Blood demon leveling

Mike raised the hammer once again before he struck down on the foundation, this time however it seemed to crack under the force, Mike reacted at once and summoned his wings as the floor below him collapsed downwards into a sealed space, Mike flew down and looked around, the lack of light proved to be no problem because of his perfect natural night vision

"Beel!"

Mike saw her at once, Beel was in the middle of the room, chained up by 5 solid-looking chains, her face was lowered, she was seemingly asleep, Mike ran over next to her before he slowly reached out and touched her shoulder, she was cold and lifeless

"Shit…"

Mike sat down on the floor at once and closed his eyes before he attempted something he had never done before

"Slowly… Ever so slowly…"

Mike used his magic to feel the blood flow inside Beel's mortal body, she seemed to be in a state of hibernation, then he began to ever so slowly speed up the blood flow inside her after a few minutes Beel's eyebrows fluttered before they opened completely and she spoke

"Mike… The chains…"

Mike nodded and slashed out 5 times with the knife cutting the chains that bound her, only then did Beel seem to awaken for real, she looked over at Mike and saw the golden glow behind his eyes and showed a smile

"Finally, you ascended Mike…"

Mike showed a smile before he picked up Beel in his arms

"Yeah I did, now let's get you out of here"

"Good job Mike… Now we can finally end this stupid war…"

Mike nodded and flew out of the underground space with Beel in his hands, soon the two of them arrived outside the cathedral where Mike helped Beel on her feet and stood and supported her as the two of them watched the carnage that was happening outside, Julie's voice boomed out

"What's wrong, guardian!? Don't tell me you're getting tired already!?"

Beel looked at the screen for a few second before she spoke

"Looks like Julie is in good health"

Mike nodded, the screen in front of them was that of Julie overpowering the guardian girl or rather out-speeding her as she would appear and lunch an attack which the badly injured guardian would then only just manage to block before Julie would use her speed and disappear again and then attack from another angle, the girl guardian was in bad shape already, missing one of her arms and having numerous cuts all over her body that seemed to have been burned so that she wouldn't bleed out, Mike called out to Julie

"Julie, we're done here, stop playing with your food!"

"Got it!"

Julie reappeared again and kneed the guardian girl in the back of the head with a blood crystal spike, within moments the guardian girl turned into a dried corpse which Julie then threw aside before she walked over to Mike and Beel where she hugged Beel tightly for a bit before she spoke

"I'm happy that you're safe Beel"

Beel nodded before she patted Julie a few times on the back, then she spoke

"Let's get out of here…"

Mike and Julie nodded, the three of them disappeared soon thereafter leaving behind a half-destroyed cathedral with heaps of dead bodies…

A few hours later Mike, Julie, and Beel floated above a city where Mike and Julie let out their full mana circulations for a few moments before a group of people came flying from the center of the city, one of the groups, seemingly the city lord quickly bowed to the group of three before he asked

"What brings 3 level 9's to my humble city?"

Mike showed a smile as he spoke

"We require a place to rest for a few days"

"Understood, please follow after me, I'll show you to the best rooms of my palace"

Mike, Julie, and Beel followed the group to the palace and was soon shown to a luxurious room where they were quickly left alone after Mike requested it, then Mike sat down on the carpet and looked over at Beel that sat in an armchair and asked

"So… Shall we begin discussing our counterattack now?"

Beel nodded and opened her hand before inky blackness floated up from her hand and displayed the local galaxy group, then she pointed to a spot and spoke

"They have my true body sealed here…"

Then she pointed to another place, near the center of the 3d map

"And they, all 3 guardians, seem to be opening a portal to the demon-controlled planes here"

Mike and Julie nodded before Julie asked

"Won't they change their plans once the girl realizes her mortal body is dead?"

Beel showed a smile before she asked

"Do you know what your other mortal bodies are doing right now?"

Mike and Julie paused before they shook their heads, Beel showed a smile

"It's the same for them unless they make a conscious effort to check they won't know"

Mike nodded before he asked

"Then we can assume that they don't know that Julie and I have ascended?"

Beel nodded

"Yes, they likely don't know that you even exist, they are likely too focused on invading the demon controlled planes"

"Got it… I'll send this information to my true body now…"

In orbit around the prime world, Mike's true body suddenly stirred before it woke up, he was embracing Julie's true body as the two of them floated around in the void, soon Mike felt Julie stir and soon she awoke, he looked into her eyes for a moment before he gave her a kiss and spoke

"Good morning sleepyhead"

Julie showed a smile and nodded before she gave Mike a kiss back, the two of them giggled for a bit before Mike spoke

"Shall we?"

"Yeah, let's get out of here… And save Beel"

´Mike nodded before he opened his hand and summoned the knife, then he slashed out into the void and opened up a rift in space that sucked in him and Julie before it closed again…

In another part of space, a rift opened up before Mike and Julie emerged from it, there they looked around before they saw Beel's sealed true body, Mike muttered

"Mothertruckker…"

In front of them were Beel's true body, it was inside a ball made of some kind of transparent crystal, the inside of the ball had several spikes made of metal that penetrated through Beel's true body, and not in a funny way, there was a total of 14 spikes, 2 went through her feet, another 2 went though her thighs, 3 went through her stomach and 4 went through her arms while 2 spikes went through her chest and 1 went through her right eye, Mike could feel his anger rise as he looked at the so-called 'seal'

"Mike calm down… We can't free Beel unless you calm down"

Mike nodded and took a deep breath before he nodded

"Okay, let's see what we're up against"

Mike floated closer to the seal and began to study the rune formations that were etched into the transparent glass ball, then after he had read it entirely he moved onto what he could see of the spikes, then after he had read it entirely he nodded before he took out the knife and then… simply used the hilt to smash against the crystal ball that then shattered completely

"Wait, Mike!"

"What?"

"Weren't those alarm formations?"

"No… They weren't formations, it was a lengthy read about the demon invasion painting the demons in the wrong… half of it was insults towards the demon side while the other half was praising the guardians for their 'valiant' and 'brave' efforts in beating down the demon invasion"

"O-Okay..?"

"Yep, there's no alarm formation here, only propaganda"

Julie couldn't really wrap her head around it so she simply nodded and helped Mike remove the 14 spikes, then she watched as the injuries on Beel's true body quickly healed before Beel opened her eyes and looked at Mike and Julie before her eyes fell solely on Mike as she floated over and hugged him close as she spoke

"I knew from the start that you wouldn't disappoint me, my vessel, Mike"

Mike showed a smile and spoke

"In that case, you could have been a little nicer to me…"

"You needed the all the pushes I gave you Mike"

Beel giggled before she broke the hug and looked over at Julie before she floated in front of her and hugged her tightly like she had done with Mike and spoke

"Julie, you too agave become my child and I love you and Mike equally"

Julie showed a smile and nodded before she hugged Beel back, after a bit the two of them broke their hug, and then Beel showed a serious looked as she looked over at Mike and spoke

"I think it's about time that we make you a demon general Mike"

Mike showed a smile, then he kneeled down and spoke

"Yes"

Hey y'all, zad1333 here, I would like your feedback on something: I am thinking, once I've made the second to last chapter, take a week off to write a longer chapter (3k-7k words) to round off the story... Or I could just keep making the regular length chapters until we naturally reach the end
