Bofuri in Another World ( I’m the final boss)

Chapter Fifty Four

"Ok... Wow..." Daisy's voice trailed off as she watched the chaos unfold above, her eyes fixed on twins. "What in the world...?"

"Are they... human?"

*Splat*

A black hammer smashed through a large skull, spraying blood and brain matter on rocks.

"Yaargh!!" Mai let out a power yell as she swung her hammer into a cyclop's legs trying to cripple it.

*Bang*

Several cyclopses had their lower halves completely obliterated from the resounding force.

"Yui!" Mai yelled, "There's a bunch of them over there!"

Yui eyes sparkled with determination. "Leave them to me."

Without warning, Yui dashed out from above the boulders, her slender frame weaving between the scattered rocks.

With a white hammer in both hands, the white-haired twin turned into a living tornado as she ripped through flesh and bone, the white tornado gaining a tint of pink in its short revolution.

With no more foes to fight (obliterate), Yui finally stopped spinning, and there was a sudden and short drizzle of rain (blood).

Daisy slowly made her way to Mai, trembling as she avoided the multiple puddles of red even as the stench of iron and ash clogged her throat. Her eyes, however, told a different story. "You guys... are terrifying." A crazed glint flashed through her eyes.

Mai's grin faltered, her expression softening as she approached Daisy. "Hey, are you okay?"

Daisy's gaze drifted between the twins, her eyes lingering on the carnage surrounding them. "Every last cyclops, y-you guys just... annihilated them."

Yui chuckled, wiping the blood-splattered hammer with a strange black cloth. "Just another day, huh, Mai?"

Mai nodded, her smile returning. "Yeah, all in a day's work."

Daisy's face glowed, her eyes fixed on Yui's form. "That... that was insane. You're... you're not human."

Yui's brow raised, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Oh? What makes you say that?"

Daisy took a step forward, her voice trembling. "Even the strongest adventurers would be hard-pressed to do what you just did. You're... you're heroes or demons or— like the sins."

Mai's laughter cut off Daisy's frantic rambling. "Easy, Daisy. We're all friends here."

"Yes! We're best friends!!" Daisy burst out in laughter. "And as your friend, I'm joining the Maple Tree guild as soon as I'm out of here."

"Whoo! That was fun! Too bad those big birds aren't attacking us. All that's left is that giant gate. And giant gate means-" Mai spun her hammer.

"Final boss!!" Yui declared with a bright smile on her face.

Daisy's laughter died down, replaced by an unbridled enthusiasm. "You mean floor boss? 'Final boss' is usually the dungeon's last challenge or dungeon master."

Mai's grin grew wider. "The one and only. And with the two of us together, we'll crush it."

Yui's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "Let's get moving. We don't want Chrome to have all the fun."

As the trio approached the giant gate, its imposing structure loomed before them. Daisy felt as the air thickened with an eerie energy, and the mana within the ground writhed beneath her feet.

"This feels... different," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

If the twins sensed the change, they didn't show it as Mai's expression appeared confused. "There's a writing on the gate, what does it say?"

Daisy stepped closer to the gate, an ominous feeling washing over her as she read the ancient text etched into the gate. "It says... 'Only those who have claimed the gaze of the cyclops shall pass.'"

Mai's brow furrowed. "Claimed the gaze? What does that mean?"

Yui's eyes sparkled with intrigue. "Maybe it's related to their weakness—their single eye."

Daisy's thoughts racing, she recalled the cyclopses they had fought. "I think I understand. We need to collect their eyeballs."

Mai's grin returned. "Sounds easy enough. We've already cleared the area."

Yui nodded, her white hammer at the ready. "Let's gather the eyeballs. We'll need one from each of the cyclopses we defeated, I think we need to place the eyeballs in the sockets on the gate."

Mai's eyes widened. "Those empty holes? Yeah, that makes sense."

The next few minutes were spent... doing absolutely nothing as they ran into a significant problem.

There were twenty-five holes in the gate. Twenty-five eyes were needed, however... "There's nothing left, you both obliterated them entirely, eyes and all." Daisy said before laughing slowly, "hehehe."

Mai's grin faltered, her expression turning sheepish. "Oops."

Yui's eyes widened, her face pale. "We didn't leave any intact?"

Daisy's laughter grew louder, her eyes shining with mirth. "You two are something else. I've never seen anyone annihilate enemies so thoroughly."

Mai chuckled, shrugging. "Guess we got a bit carried away."

Yui's brow furrowed, her gaze scanning the area. "What do we do now?"

Daisy's laughter died down, replaced by a thoughtful expression. "We need to find another way to unlock the gate."

Mai's eyes sparkled. "Maybe there's a hidden mechanism?"

Yui nodded. "Or a secret passage." She turned back to the large gate. "Maple would have found a secret passage ‘cause she's so awesome."

"Well there's no secret passage way. I guess we'll have to wait for them to respawn. Then you guys can defeat them all over again, it'll be easy for you guys." Daisy sighed.

Mai frowned while Yui cried in abject terror. "But that'll take too long, that's like an hour. Chrome would be done by then. We can't wait an hour." She turned to her twin. "Mai what do we do!!?"

Mai had a thoughtful look on her face. "Maple wouldn't be deterred by something like this. If she couldn't find a secret passageway, she'd simply make her own." Her eyes widened. "She'd blow right through the gate with her awesome power."

Yui now had a beaming smile as she jumped in joy. "You're right! That's exactly what Maple would do. She's amazing."

Daisy’s gaze alternated between the two for a moment. "Wait... what?"

.

.

Daisy's eyes widened in alarm. "Wait, what? You're not serious, are you?"

Mai's grin returned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Why not? It's the most direct solution."

Yui nodded enthusiastically, her white hammer at the ready. "We'll just blast through the gate. Maple would approve."

Daisy's face paled. "You're going to destroy the gate? But what if it's trapped? Or what if it collapses?"

Mai shrugged. "We'll deal with it. We're not going to let Chrome have all the fun."

Yui's eyes shone with determination. "We'll show him what we're capable of."

Daisy's voice rose in protest. "This is insane! You're going to—"

Mai's hammer flashed in the dim light, its head glowing with energy. "Remember Yui, we're not as strong as Maple so we have to use all of our power."

Yui mirrored Mai's stance, her white hammer crackling with power. "Right. Here we go!"

The twins charged forward, their hammers poised to strike.

Yui's hammers, held in both hands glowed a bright dazzling white turning the red sky into white for an instant as she outshone the world.

Mai's hammers, held on both hands billowed a suffocating darkness that suddenly descended on the ground cracking it as the pressure increased dramatically, gravity now multiplied thousand fold.

The air around the twins seemed to ripple and distort as they unleashed their attack.

"YAARGH!!" Mai's roar echoed through the cavern, her voice drowning out the sound of crashing thunder.

"YAARGH!!" Yui's battle cry harmonized with Mai's, their voices blending into a deafening crescendo.

The ground trembled beneath their feet as the twins brought their hammers down in unison. The sound of the impact was like a cataclysmic explosion – a deafening crash that shook the very foundations of the cavern.

_BOOOOOOM!!_

The noise was akin to a thousand mountains collapsing, an earthquake unleashing its fury upon the earth. The sound waves rippled through the air, creating shockwaves that sent dust and debris flying.

_KRRAAAAASH!!_

The gate shuddered, its stone pillars cracking as the twins' hammers struck true. The metal reinforcement screamed in protest, twisting and contorting under the immense force.

_KKKRRRRRKKK!!_

The gate's stone face began to crumble, shattered fragments flying everywhere as the twins' attack ripped through its defenses.

Then the second impact came.

_BOOOOOOM!!_

The already crumbled gate was completely ripped from its hinges and shot into the cavern.

Daisy stumbled backward, her ears ringing from the sheer force of the sound. Her eyes wide with awe, she watched as the twins' attack tore the gate asunder.

"Unbelievable..." she whispered.

The dust settled, revealing a massive breach in the walls. The twins stood victorious, their hammers still humming with energy.

Yui grinned, her eyes sparkling. "That was fun!"

Mai chuckled, her face flushed with excitement. "Told you we could do it."

Daisy approached the twins, her voice barely above a whisper. "You two... are monsters."

Mai's grin faltered, her expression softening. "Hey, we're just trying to keep up with Maple."

Yui nodded, her smile returning. "We're not even close to her level yet."

Beyond the hole in the wall lay a cavernous chamber, its ceiling lost in darkness. The room pulsed with an otherworldly power, and at its centre were the massive crumbled gates.

"Now where's the floor boss!?" Mai launched into the room with her hammers still humming with energy. Yui shot in after her.

.

.

.

.

"Well?" Mai frowned as they were surrounded by silence. "Where is it?"

At the edge of the room, Daisy couldn't stop herself from trembling as laughter tore from her throat. "Hehehehehe."

Right underneath the crumbled gates, with black blood pooling, was the prone form of the floor boss.

"HEHEHEHEHE!!!"

Within a certain, newly furnished office, The Guild Master of the Maple Tree adventurers guild was preparing for the future with the new information she just got from the newly acquired dungeon.

"Hmmm. We might be able to get special job classes if we train some of the adventurers in the blood dungeon. And that final boss, a primordial Vampire. If it can turn people to vampires then." Sally whispered as she stopped signing on a few documents on her table for a moment.

A blue screen suddenly appeared before her.
