Broken Phantom

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

-Danny-

The Acropolis of Athens, Home of the Warrior Queen Pandora. A beautiful nation floating in a region of the ghost zone, its people, homes, and even structures were something to behold, and in the city was a palace that sparkled with gold and bronze.

The throne room of Queen Pandora's palace was an impressive sight as well with golden and bronze hues shimmering against the intricately carved walls.

Massive pillars, adorned with ancient ghostly symbols, lined the room, and the vaulted ceiling was painted with depictions of legendary battles and serene landscapes from another realm.

Even the air felt different here, charged with a faint, ethereal glow.

The guards stationed around the room were statuesque, their polished armor gleaming under the ambient light, their loyalty and readiness unquestionable.

I felt their devotion deeply as I stepped through the rift and into the palace. My arrival was met with a surprising, yet familiar, sight: every single guard knelt in unison, bowing before me.

A simple gesture with my hand set them back to their positions.

"Relax, guys," I said casually to the guards. "Most of them are with me."

The Fentons, though, were anything but relaxed. Maddie's voice rang out sharply, "It's a trap! I knew we shouldn't have trusted this scum."

I shrugged off her outburst and walked past her. Her words no longer carried weight with me. "To think you have the nerve to call anyone scum after everything you've done," I muttered, letting the sting of the truth settle.

"This place is beautiful," Paulina said, admiring the beauty of the palace.

"Yea it looks awesome " Mikey commented. Looking around wide-eyed.

"Is just another putrid ghost" Jack's voice clearly irritated by his surroundings.

"Jack is right kids" Maddie added "They probably stole all of the gold from somewhere".

The grandeur of the palace contrasted sharply with the chaos that followed at the arrival of a giant woman with four arms, wearing ancient Greek battle armor, pink fiery hair, and red eyes, behind her was and smaller person, a girl of average human size wearing a black choker around her neck, a black one-shouldered crop-top, one long glove that covers most of her right arm, and one black bracelet on her left arm. She also wears a pair of what appear to be leather pants with a silver belt and skull boots. She has long, flaming, teal hair pulled back into a ponytail at the top of her head, two locks of hair framing her face, and light purple lipstick.

Queen of the Acropolis, Pandora, and the Ghost Siren Ember Mclain.

"GHOST " Jack boomed, the Fenton's sharply drew their weapon and started to fire.

I instinctively shielded them, absorbing the shots.

The walls seemed to ripple slightly under the force, but the energy dissipated harmlessly around me. As the dust cleared, their shock was palpable.

"How?" Maddie stammered out. He could guess that she was surprised at the lack of effect the weapons had against me.

"Did you really think something so weak could harm me?" I asked, smirking at their disbelief.

Their weapons, upgraded and improved over the years must have given them the confidence to act, were no match for me.

It was both amusing and tragic that they hadn't figured this out yet.

Even in the past, it was only at the beginning of his halfa year that those weapons had an effect and as he grew so did his resistance.

Now here he stood just 4 years as a Halfa, a mere infant compared to the other beings in his Realm but more powerful than any other being in existence.

My sword moved, and in an instant, I dismantled their weapons, the sound of the metal guns snapping reverberating through the majestic room, and the guards subdued them in seconds. "Take them away," I ordered. "Keep them locked up for now."

The entire class stood still frozen in shock and fear at the scene before them.

"Do you think you can stop us " shouted Maddie as the guards subdued her and Jack.

"We'll stop you ghost sum and when we do we'll rip you apart molecule by molecule," he said.

He and Maddie were tied up and dragged to the dungeons to be left there for now.

'Soon they will pay, but not before...' Releasing a sigh Danny was exhausted by the shared stupidity and arrogance of the two hunters.

Taking a glance through the corner of his eyes to look at Tucker and Sam 'They didn't fire' A small smile crossed my face 'I guess it's really wearing off'.

"So that's them?" Ember said bringing his attention to her.

"Yeah that's them and sorry for that ember, they just won't have enough brain cells to listen" he replied.

Turning to the larger ghost, he let a smile cross his face.

"Hello, Pandora."

"Hello to you too my little King," she replied in a teasing voice.

Sighing, he relaxed a little. Ever since He started living in the Zone, Pandora had been the one Looking after him, she had in a sense taken on the role of a Mother/Teacher to him.

She seemed determined to make sure he'd always be happy and He was ever grateful for that.

Speaking to her, he explained his current situation.

"Problem?" She asked.

"More like an unwelcomed guest," He said gesturing to the group standing in the back of the room staring like fishes.

"So I was hoping to have them stay here for tonight before taking them to the keep tomorrow if it's alright with you? " he asked.

"It's okay as long as they don't go wandering around looking for trouble " she replied.

Turning around to face the class, he clapped his hands drawing all their attention to him and making everyone quiet down.

"Okay, guys you will be staying here for the night " he announced to the class, Then a few staff came into the room.

"They will lead you to your rooms and you can take a shower and relax and explore till dinner is ready," he said, then suddenly his expression became dark "But any door that is locked should stay locked am I clear".

All of them sharply nodded their heads in fear.

"Okay that's all you need to know for now," he said in an innocent and cheery voice.

The staff guided the group to their respective rooms leaving 6 people in the main room, Danny, Jazz, Valerie, Danielle, Pandora, and Ember.

"Daddy can I go and look for Cujo" Dani asked seeing clearly that I was intending to talk to her grandma about something boring.

Kneeling down to her level, I looked at the small girl who was my life's Greatest joy.

"Sure my little snowflake " I answered her, ruffling her hair, she giggled at that.

"But go with Val okay".

"I don't really want you to be alone at the moment ".

Standing up to face the dark-skinned girl "Do you mind staying with her".

"No problem Danny," Val told him as she walked up to the small girl "Let's go, Ellie "

"Okay" and with that they left the room to search for the small green dog, leaving only 4 left.

"So what did you want to talk about Babypop " Ember asked Danny, seeing as he had a serious expression on his face.

"Well the Fentons have taken it too far to drag teenagers into this, don't they have any shame" he said anger clear in his eyes.

Then in that moment that the anger came it left as a small smirk appeared on his face.

"Well, at least they brought the targets closer, and by the looks of it, it's almost worn off" putting a hand on his chin. "Now we just have to break it a little more then I can have frostbite finish it off".

"I can't believe that it took 2 years to finally complete it" Jazz stated.

-Mikey-

The second they stepped into the palace, my jaw dropped. The place was stunning—gold and bronze glittered everywhere, and the sheer size of the room made me feel like an ant. Elaborate murals covered the walls, telling stories of epic battles and peaceful moments in ghost history. The floor was a polished obsidian-like surface that reflected the brilliance above, and chandeliers crafted from glowing crystals hung like stars in the sky.

"Yeah, it looks awesome," I muttered, glancing around. It felt like stepping into a dream.

But Jack and Maddie? They were all kinds of rude. Jack's voice grated on my nerves as he sneered, "It's just another putrid ghost." Seriously? How could he ignore how amazing this place was?

And then Danny stepped through the rift, exuding this confident, commanding energy. I was shocked when all the guards bowed to him. What was even happening? Who *was* this guy, really?

Things got wild when Jack and Maddie fired at the ghosts. Danny—freaking Danny—jumped in and took the hits like it was nothing. My heart nearly stopped. He stood there, completely fine, like it was no big deal. It was both terrifying and... kinda awesome.

"Did you really think something so weak could harm me?" Danny said, smirking. I didn't know whether to feel reassured or scared out of my mind.

When he turned to us and announced we'd be staying the night, his tone turned dark. "Any door that is locked should stay locked," he said, and I didn't doubt for a second that he meant it. I nodded along with everyone else, not daring to argue. For now, I'd just stick to my room and keep my head down. This was all way above my pay grade.

-Paulina-

The palace was as grand as I deserved to be in, its golden brilliance reflecting my own shine.

Each step I took across the polished floor felt like it belonged in a dream—no, a movie starring 'me.'

The massive chandeliers sparkled as if trying to keep up with my natural glow.

The murals on the walls, though beautiful, were almost too much. It was like the place was trying 'too hard' to impress me.

Still, I couldn't deny the magnificence. "This place is beautiful," I said aloud, knowing my voice carried just the right amount of awe. After all, a girl like me appreciates the finer things in life.

Of course, Jack's grating voice had to ruin the moment. "They probably stole all the gold from somewhere," he sneered. I rolled my eyes so hard I nearly hurt myself. He clearly had no taste. How did people like him even function in a place like this?

And then Danny appeared. The Danny Fenton I'd known—the clumsy, awkward loser—stepped out of the rift like he owned the place.

When the guards bowed to him, I almost laughed out loud. Almost. But something about his confident stride and the way he carried himself made me pause.

This wasn't the Danny I used to dismiss in the hallways. This Danny commanded attention, respect, and even admiration. It annoyed me a little, to be honest. How dare he look this... capable?

Then the Fentons started firing, and everything spiraled. Danny stepped in, taking the hits like it was nothing. When the dust cleared, he stood there, completely unscathed.

My heart jumped for a moment. Not because I was scared, obviously, but because... well, maybe it was impressive. "How are you unscathed?" Maddie demanded, but I was wondering the same thing.

He Just stood there looking so Handso.....I mean annoyingly smug.

....Okay, maybe she did think he was Handsome. Boardline otherworldly but she couldn't be blamed.

She knew that even before he had disappeared from Amity that a lot of Girls considered him to be One of the Best guys both in looks and in attitude.

The Truth was that even though Danny was considered a Loser he was plenty Pupolar with a lot of Girls(Including Herself-though she would have died before telling anyone).

And now he was just 'Hmmmmm Perfect'.

Later, when Danny told us we'd be staying the night, his tone turned dark. "Any door that is locked should stay locked," he warned. I hated how his words sent a chill down my spine. I wasn't scared of him—not really—but there was something unsettling(Pleasant) about the way he said it. Still, I wasn't about to test him. Not yet, anyway. Danny might think he's all that now, but I'll be the judge of that. And I'll judge thoroughly.
