Broken Tower Saga: The First Swordsman

Chapter 78: Conflict at the Cafeteria (3)

Anton went to help Jacob after he finished the baldie, with his swift speed, Anton knocked a guy to the ground the moment he reached Jacob. Other than the baldie, none of the targets had much to offer. In about half a minute, all of them were on the ground.

"You did great, Jake, without your bow," Anton smiled, shouldering the poor guy.

"Looks like I'm the only one that got beat up in our group," Jacob replied, wiping blood from his lips. While his eyes were swollen, the poor fellow was able to save other organs on his face.

The two girls Michelle and Byul were fine, the two of them returned to Anton who said:

"Let's go then, we have nothing left to do here."

even though they did not have their meal yet, the others nodded as they were ready to leave, when another voice came from behind.

"Are you going to leave just like that, beating all my men?"

A frown appeared on Anton's face as he turned around to notice another person dressed in luxury silk. The owner of the voice was quite young, maybe a few years older than Anton. He had a rounder exterior, and long blonde hair strapped in a ponytail with a well-shaped upper body. He radiated an aura of the unmatched upper class, and only contempt towards the other.

"I'm guessing you're the boss of these bitches," Anton said, as carefree as he was during the fight.

The newcomer said nothing to Anton, looked towards the bald guy on the ground. He called, "Oblak? Do you know why you lost?"

The baldie tried his best to pick himself up. He uncomfortably stood up with blood on his lips and nostrils. Moreover, his face was swollen red. Even though Anton did not input his full force, it was sufficient to make the bald guy's face uglier.

"I underestimated them, master," Oblak said, addressing the silk-clothed man.

"And?" the man asked again.

The baldie did not open his swollen lips immediately. He looked in the direction of Anton with a hateful glare. "He's stronger than me," he said, though he did not seem to believe that. Then added further. "For now."

The silk-clothed youth seemed content with the baldie's behaviour, nodded.

Meanwhile Anton, who was bored in the process, opened his lips looking at the newcomer. "If you want some beating, then blurt it out, I have better things to take care of."

''Now It's your turn." The silk clothed youth licked his lips as he walked towards Anton. "You have some skills, but between you and me there's no contest."

Anton snorted in return.

"So, you don't believe me," the man continued, pointing at the miserable fellas on the ground. "They were like you as well until I showed them my strength, and in a few minutes, you would be like them as well. No worse than them. Only an obeying dog on leash."

As his voice finished, something abnormal happened in the cafeteria.

Anton, who was carefree at the moment, felt something odd, and in the next moment, he could not breathe as if the very air was escaping from him at an arduous speed. His vision darkened as an arm appeared in his neck, strangling him.

"Do you need more convincing now," the silk-clothed youth said.

Anton heard that and wanted to say something to mock, but words did not come out of his mouth. There was no air in his mouth, making the words unpronounced. Then he smiled, noticing someone else appearing.

The silk clothed youth found someone tapping gently on his shoulder. He twisted his neck, not letting go of the neck of his target. He noticed a youth with shining silvery eyes right behind him.

And the next moment with a 'baam' his vision darkened for a couple of seconds, as his body dropped to the ground. He did not expect someone to simply punch him in the face without any exchange of words.

"I was about to warn you," Anton, who was freed from the trance, said to the guy on the ground.

"You guys made quite a mess," Wrik said, looking at the wreckage of the cafeteria, broken glass all over the floor with a dozen miserable fella with burned marks on their body. While the audience in the cafeteria taking all the fun in the conflict.

"Well, you know what they say in stories 'femme fatale,'" Anton said, gesturing at Michelle.

"How was this my fault," the redhead was oblivious of her scene said. "I did not even talk to them."

Wrik understood what caused the conflict after hearing that out. It appeared some underlings of the silk clothed youths molested or tried to molest Michelle and caused the entire conflict. Then his thought process broke as Wrik heard some threat again.

"You made a grave mistake today," the silk-clothed youth said, picking up his body. He wiped his bloody nose with a white handkerchief before saying again. "You don't know what you're dealing with."

As he finished saying that, a whirlwind appeared in the hall of the cafeteria out of nowhere. The silk clothed youth looked at Wrik, then to Anton and others with a threatening glare. He was not as calm as before when he was dealing with Anton.

"Really?" Wrik asked, leaning his head a bit. "Isn't it just some air manipulation, with some strange aura to cause fear?"

Wrik had already analysed the situation when the guy strangled Anton. The skill clothed guy was quite skilled in air manipulation. He even caused the air in Anton's lungs to flee, but that all depended on a moment of surprise as Wrik was already prepared and had nothing to fear from the silk clothed guy.

The guy was about to attack with the air element when a stern and a loud voice stopped him.

"Enough."

Three new fellows wearing the code of the authority of the sanctuary came into the cafeteria.

Wrik and others followed their gaze at the source of the voice and found some fellows with the white uniform of Omega Council. The leading one, the one that voiced out, was someone all of them recognised. It was the guide, Harakatz Bolvin. While behind him were two more fellows, one man and another woman, Wrik did not recognise the man, but he had seen the woman in the medical ward. She was the one in charge of the medical facility. The one who took care of An Byul.

"You guys would venture the tower in three days," Harakat said in contempt. "Did we grow so low?"

"It was not my fault. . ." Anton whispered, but stopped at the glare from the guide.

"All of you will pay for the damage," he said, eyeing them. "And as for the punishment, all of you who are involved in the conflict would be banned from the mission board and Omega store for the rest of the trial."
