ALL NOVEL Chapter 56 – A Surprise Before The Meeting

Inside a small, apartment-like room, a girl with green hair slowly wakes up from her slumber on the sofa. She rubs her eyes and glances around the room, noticing that she's alone. Her attention is then drawn to a single piece of paper on the table in front of her. She picks it up and begins reading.
"I’m heading to Heroes HQ—it’s almost time for the meeting. Love, from your lovely Rena."
"P.S. You’ll be surprised when I get back."
Tilting her head in mild confusion, she sets the paper aside and heads to the shower.

Saitama's Apartment
In a different room, three men are absorbed in their own activities. One of them is Saitama, who is engrossed in a manga. The second is Genos, who is busy cleaning and preparing breakfast. The third is Bang, who has just arrived and is now sitting leisurely, sipping tea that Genos made.
"Now that I think about it, isn’t today the day the Hero Association called us for a meeting?" Genos suddenly breaks the silence.
Setting down his cup, Bang looks at Genos with one eye half-open. "Hm, you’re right. It’s today. But there’s been a change. It’s no longer just a regular meeting for us S-Class heroes. It’s become an emergency meeting, and attendance is mandatory."
"Is that so? I haven’t checked the details again, so I didn’t know," Genos replies, still focused on the pot. "If it’s an emergency that requires all S-Class heroes, I think they might also need Sensei’s help. Will you come?"
Hearing that, Saitama pauses for a moment before responding, "Sure, I’ve got nothing else to do."

Heroes Association Headquarters
A mechanical door slides open, revealing three figures: Bang, Saitama, and Genos. A man notices the door opening and immediately recognizes them. He is Kamikaze, an S-Class hero ranked 4th, also known as Atomic Samurai. He has long black hair tied in a ponytail, black eyes, and wears a red hooded cloak with an atom symbol on the back, draped over his open blue haori. Beneath the haori, he wears a traditional loose-fitting white robe tied with a sash. His swords hang at his left side, and he chews on a thin splinter of wood. Kamikaze greets one of the figures emerging from the door.
"Yo, Silver Fang," Kamikaze calls out.
"It’s been a while, Atomic Samurai," Bang replies.
"I knew you’d show up. And you’ve brought the new hero, Genos. But who’s this?" Kamikaze asks curiously.
"He’s a new Class C hero, Saitama. His exceptional talent will one day place him among the S-Class, I’m sure of it. So there’s no problem bringing him here," Bang explains.
"So, you’re also a hero," Saitama says with a smile, extending his hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you."
Kamikaze slaps Saitama’s hand away. "No handshake. I only acknowledge the strong. Once you’ve climbed up to S-Class, then I’ll greet you properly." With that, Kamikaze starts walking away.
Suddenly, a cheerful girl’s voice echoes from behind, "Saitama! Genos! It’s been a while!"
They turn to see a girl with long black hair, carrying a kid.
"Oh, Rena! It’s been a while," Saitama says, waving as he approaches her, followed by Genos and Bang.
"You’ve been away for a while. Did something happen?" Saitama asks curiously.
"Ah, well, yes, something did happen. And it seems I won’t be able to come around much anymore. But don’t worry about me—it’s nothing bad," Rena reassures him.
"Is that so… Well, I guess it’ll be a bit quieter," Saitama remarks, hands on his hips, before pointing at the girl she’s holding. "And who’s this?"
The girl in Rena’s arms is her daughter, Tsuna. Hearing Saitama’s question, Rena beams with pride. She can’t help but feel excited when it comes to introducing her adorable daughter to the world.
"Ah, this is Tsuna. Tsuna, say hello to the bald man in front of you," Rena says softly, looking at Tsuna.
"Oi," Saitama replies immediately. Tsuna glances shyly at Saitama, then looks away and clings tightly to Rena.
"Kyaa! Did you see that, Saitama? My daughter is too cute!" Rena exclaims, shaking with joy as she hugs Tsuna tightly.
"W-wait, daughter?" Saitama stammers, pointing at Tsuna with a trembling hand.
"Hm? Oh, yes, Tsuna is my daughter," Rena replies casually.
"EHHH?!" Saitama screams in disbelief.
"Hohoho, I can’t believe the one I’ve been trying to recruit already has a daughter. This is indeed surprising," Bang comments, stroking his beard with a smile.
"Maybe it’s a bit late, but congratulations," Genos adds with a smile.
"Hehehe, thank you," Rena says, scratching the back of her head.
"SINCE WHEN?! SINCE WHEN?!" Saitama demands, desperate to know more.
"Fufu, are you interested in me, Saitama? Too bad, I’m t-a-k-e-n~" Rena teases playfully.
"Who’s interested in you, idiot! I just want to know when you had a daughter!" Saitama retorts.
"Fufu, s-e-c-r-e-t~" Rena answers in a sing-song voice.
"Oi, my hand’s been itching to smack you ever since we met. Should I do it now?" Saitama threatens, raising his fist as flames seem to ignite behind him.
"Now, now, I’d also like to know more, but I think it’s time for us to head to the meeting. It’s about to start," Bang interjects, stopping the quarrel.
"I agree. Let’s go," Rena says, and they begin walking toward the designated area.
Saitama sighs and follows them from behind.
