Chaos Warlord: Reincarnated in Eldrich with the Devil System!

Chapter 278 275: Dimensional Mirror at work!

Chapter 278 275: Dimensional Mirror at work!

Val gingerly picked up the dimensional mirror, which was delicately resting on the altar at the center of the clearing.

He then reverse-summoned his undead.

Having ensured the safety of his undead army within the confines of the shrine, he turned his attention to his next objective: finding a body of water as it was necessary to make the magic of the dimensional mirror work.

'The forest is large, almost like a small world of its own. But with my skills, finding a body of water in it should be a piece of cake.'

Val thought, overflowing with confidence. His confidence wasn't misplaced. He possessed unrivaled skill. One of his skills was so great it made him somewhat omnipotent. It was the heavenly eye skill.

As he invoked the power of his heavenly eye skill, the forest around him became translucent in his eye, and all its hidden secrets were revealed to him.

His vision expanded dynamically, and he saw what he was looking for.

Amongst the dense foliage, he discerned the shimmer of a body of water.

It was a serene creek nestled snugly between two dense thickets of trees. It looked like a sight that seemed to have come straight out of a fairy tale.

"It's quite close."

The distance between him and the creek, he estimated, was about 500 meters from where he stood.

"It will take only some breath of time to reach it if I sprint at full speed."

And that's exactly what he did.

With the mirror securely held in one hand, Val didn't waste a moment. He broke into a brisk pace, darting through the shrubs, bushes, and small trees growing beneath the larger trees of the forest like a chaotic god of war and heading towards the creek.

The forest was alive, and not all its inhabitants were going to let him move past them without causing him trouble.

As he moved through the forest, several audacious low-level beasts, perhaps sensing a lone and potential prey or perhaps just driven by their rudimentary predatory instincts, lunged at him.

Their intelligence was minimal as their level was lower than 40, thus they failed to sense he was stronger than him and dared to attack him.

He maneuvered his body like the god of lightning, not only darting past their attack but also effortlessly swatting them all to death in the process. These creatures actually never posed any real challenge to him. It was so bad that they didn't manage to cause even a single second delay in his journey to his destination before they met their demise at his hand!

Gulu! Gulu!

Soon, the gentle babbling of the creek reached Val's ears.

His pace decelerated as he approached its banks. Soon, he was standing next to him.

The water of the creek glistened under the sun, reflecting the canopy above and the world around it.

Val paused only for a moment to appreciate its tranquility as he didn't have the time to admire it, someone was in dire need of his support, after all.

He squatted down quickly and submerged the dimensional mirror into the creek's clear waters.

The very next moment, Val got to observe the fascinating transformation of the water caused by the dimensional mirror.

From its original clear state, it began to shimmer and emit a soft, ethereal glow, signaling its transformation into a teleportation pool.

This pool had now become a gateway between the two sides of the lesser dimensions.

Using his wizardry skills, Val carefully extracted the dimensional mirror from the depths of the pool as he knew its importance and thought it best to keep it with him as an insurance policy for future travels, and using any other way to retrieve it would bear no fruit.

Without hesitation, he stored it safely in the pocket dimension granted to him by the Void Orb, and then, he took a moment to steady himself before diving headlong into the shimmering teleportation pool.

The sensation that he experienced next was a mix of both exhilarating and disorienting.

His surroundings looked like a blurry vortex of colors, and he felt as if he was being pulled in multiple directions simultaneously.

'So cold.'

A sudden cold engulfed him as if he had been thrust into the heart of a frozen ocean.

The bone-chilling temperatures would've been agonizing to anyone else, but Val's unique constitution rendered him immune to such sensations. So he managed to retain his rationality and remain calm despite feeling he was in ice-cold waters.

He opened his eyes and surveyed his new environment while holding his breath. Due to the environment that he suddenly found himself in, he didn't dare breathe as otherwise he would choke on water and die.

It was a crystalline pool that was neither too shallow nor too deep that he was inside of.

He didn't need to swim too much to get out of it as showed by his Heavenly Eye skill.

Inside the pool, he began to swim upwards. He knew how to swim as he had learned a lot of things in his past life, and swimming was one of them.

As he swam upwards, the surface of the water grew nearer.

Soon he emerged from the pool and gasped for air, his breaths coming in heavy, rapid pants as he wiped the water off his face with the back of his hands.

Where was he?

Had he successfully bridged the vast expanse between dimensions to reach where Oliver, the young individual whom Lucious had entrusted him to guard, was located?

Well, there was only one way to find out.

He allowed his divine senses to absorb the view of the surroundings.

The terrain appeared eerily similar to the forest he had just left, but there was a distinct difference.

Back where he had come from, the sun had been high in the sky, casting its golden glow on the forest below. Here, the shroud of night had already blanketed the land.

This stark contrast between the two sides of the lesser dimension confirmed that he had indeed teleported to that side of the lesser dimension where Oliver was.
