Childhood Friend Who Sees the Future Utters Nonsense

chapter 12

12 – Under an umbrella shared by the two of you

Han-Yu As if the sky, which seemed a little harsh when I broke up with me, said that my anxiety was correct, she quickly changed her attitude and started raining on her. Neither the rain nor the power of the dark clouds that engulfed the sky were too unusual to dismiss it as passing showers.

Holy crap, if I had known it would be like this, I would have brought an umbrella. It was my mistake that I overlooked it, thinking that it would pour out while I was on my way back for a while. It’s not even the rainy season, so I never thought it would rain like this out of nowhere.

“It’s all wet.”

She brushed her wet hair under the awning and let out an annoyed self-talk.

Fortunately, it wasn’t until we arrived at Hanyunane’s company that it started pouring in earnest. If it had rained earlier than this, I would have been stranded, stopping in the park on the way. Is this a fortunate thing out of misfortune?

“Student, you can’t come in here unnecessarily.”

As she was looking around to see if Hanyuna hadn’t come out yet, a security guard who looked to be in her early 50s spoke to me through a small open window. Maybe because she wasn’t there every day, she restrained me the first time I saw her and didn’t let her come through the awning.

Somehow, it reminds me of the first time I picked up Han Yuna.

“Oh, sorry. I came to pick up one of her trainees, nothing else.”

“A trainee? Maybe your name… ?”

Perhaps they thought he was a student hanging around to see a celebrity, making excuses, but the security guard seldom relaxed his guard. Rather than finding that cumbersome, I thought that it was a very difficult job for celebrities to make ends meet.

It’s already past 10 o’clock, and the fact that even the visitors who come at this time can’t take it easy must mean that sasaeng fans and snoopers are usually active until this late.

“Han Yu-na is a trainee.”

“Yuna Han…. Ah, Yuna is a student acquaintance. How is your relationship going?”

But since the name was mentioned first, it seems that the wariness has almost disappeared. She has heard that sometimes she has crazy people who even follow her trainees, but she doesn’t think that’s the case. Thank goodness.

“It’s my cousin. She used to come to pick me up often, but it seems that the guard she used to be there isn’t there.”

Hanyu Since my identity is an idol trainee, whenever I come here, I always introduce myself as her cousin rather than a friend. No matter how much our relationship is just between childhood friends, useless noise might flow out by the person who witnessed this situation.

“Ah, the time zone has changed a bit this time, so you should be able to see him when he comes in the morning. Wouldn’t it be better for her to come in instead of standing there?”

“It’s okay. I’m leaving soon, what?”

Going in like a drowning mouse is a nuisance only to those who need to clean it. Hanyu, I’ll be leaving soon anyway, and since it’s not cold outside, she decided to wait as it is.

“Student, would you like a cup of mixed coffee? If you wait there, it will be cold.”

Perhaps because of my age, the security guard kept talking to me to take care of me.

It’s a mixed coffee, and that’s also strong, but now there are things I need to prioritize before that.

“Then can I borrow one umbrella instead of mixed coffee? I didn’t bring an umbrella….”

“Aww, the young friend is pretty. Wait a minute, there must be something inside that others have lost, so I’ll bring you one.”

I wonder if I can just give it to you, but since it’s something I haven’t taken for a while, I decided to think of it as lending it in the sense of using it and bringing it back.

“Here you go. I’m worried because it’s a little small.”

“Ah, this is not the time to cover hot rice with cold rice. Thank you.”

As the security guard said, the umbrella felt a bit small for two people to use, but I was already wet anyway, so I figured it wouldn’t matter as long as it was enough to cover it with Hanyuna.

How many minutes did you have to wait while appreciating the pouring raindrops after getting the preparations to return like that? When Hanyu didn’t come out until 11 o’clock, the security guard, who was even more nervous than me, opened the window again and opened her mouth.

“Student Yuna hasn’t come out for a while. Wait here for a second, I’ll go inside and ask.”

“No, you don’t have to….”

“Students should hurry home and take a warm shower, otherwise you’ll catch a cold.”

Despite my persuasion, the security guard rushed inside. It was the first person I saw today, but I could feel that he was a very kind person.

Tiriling. Clap.

And soon after, an electronic sound resounded from inside, as if a lock was being unlocked, and the locked door opened.

When I found a human figure hurriedly popping out from beyond, my plan to scold him for being late was all but gone. The hair clinging here and there on my forehead and the still blurry sweat marks tell me how hard today’s practice was.

“Ha ha ha….”

“Oh, are you done? Good job.”

As if she came out in a hurry, Hanyu was breathing heavily. I calmly raised her hand toward me.

She didn’t have to rush out. Rather, I feel anxious because I wonder if there are some things I left behind in order to come out quickly. It’s been like that since before.

“Oh, how did you come? Even without saying that he is coming….”

“Do you think someone came because they wanted to come? He said he couldn’t come today, so he had no choice but to come. The old lady asked for it anyway.”

Actually, the lady didn’t ask for anything, she just came because of my whim, but she was embarrassed for some reason and covered it up moderately. It’s not something to be embarrassed about now.

“… He said he had something to do.”

“I finished that a long time ago, who am I?”

I said it proudly, but it’s all just a bluff. Instead of finishing it and coming back, I have to go back and finish the rest of the work from now on.

Still, thanks to the boss giving me plenty of time, I won’t have an unfortunate incident of wrestling with the computer until dawn today, but it’s true that it’s a little tight. What can I do though, my feet moved first.

“Anyway, let’s go for the time to worry about useless things. By the way, the umbrella is small, so please forgive me.”

“I’ll bring a bigger one for that.”

“Hey, I borrowed this from the security guard too, right? I know you are grateful.”

He bruised Han Yuna, who muttered as if grumbling, and opened her umbrella.

Pot.

No matter how you look at it, it’s a cute appearance that doesn’t suit me at all, but where is this? Next time I come, I should buy a cup of coffee for the security guard.

***

Shoot it.

On the way home with Park Si-yoon, the sound of pouring rain was loud enough to silence our voices.

In particular, I even thought that the arrows of rainwater pouring down with the momentum to pierce the shield called umbrella were so diverse that I wondered if the sky was angry.

“It pours quite a bit.”

“… That’s right.”

As she tried to reciprocate with Park Si-yoon’s careless words, her reaction was a little delayed because of an inadvertent thought.

The umbrella the two of us are using is a bit small. It may be enough for one person to use, but if two people use it, space inevitably runs out, so one person has no choice but to use it alone.

Under such an umbrella, even though I am walking down the street in the pouring rain, my body is barely wet right now. The moment I realized that, my eyes could not help but move naturally to Park Si-yoon, who is as big as a distant man.

“What are you looking at? What did you put on my face?”

Precisely, the gaze was not on Park Si-yoon’s face, but on his shoulder, which was half-protruded from the umbrella, but the way he responded as usual as if he was trying to hide that fact made me angry and threw out something I didn’t mean to.

“Yes, I buried seaweed.”

“What Kim? I didn’t even eat seaweed for dinner.”

“Ugly.”

“Are you crazy?”

Park Si-yoon put on a ridiculous expression, but until the end, he didn’t say anything that would burden my heart, such as saying that he was getting caught in the rain because of me, or that he came to pick me up at best.

If it had been the other way around, I would have said it. It was obvious that he would have reacted by pointing at his wet shoulder.

Anyway, if you look closely, it’s kind of like a Hogu style. I wish I could show some respect when I show my respect. If you don’t tell me, you won’t even know. Unless you, like me, have a lot of time to spend on keeping a close eye on an idiot like you.

“Stick here a bit, it’s all wet.”

I don’t think the act of popping out unintentionally because I had a fever for no reason was probably not something I would normally do.

Normally, it would have been nice if he hadn’t yelled at Park Si-yoon, who was like a drowning mouse, to push him away, telling him to keep his distance. In the first place, I must have been annoyed because I hated getting wet, unless my personality was to go into a swimming pool.

But today, for some reason, I didn’t even pay attention to my body getting wet, and pulled Park Si-yoon’s body toward me and pressed each other’s bodies tightly. I didn’t forget to check whether Park Si-yoon’s left shoulder was protruding out of the umbrella.

“It’s narrow, but what do you stick to? Leave it alone, because it’s done.”

However, despite my consideration, Park Si-yoon only managed to get out of the umbrella even more, dropping his body as if he were running away. This made me even more anxious.

What happened to you, you idiot. If I were to get wet like that and later catch a cold and blame me, they wouldn’t listen. It means accepting it kindly when you make concessions.

“You idiot, you’re telling me to join you because it’s narrow.”

“No, I’m fine. How long does it take to get home?”

“I’m not okay, so hurry up and stick around… me… sun?”

For some reason, it was the moment when I grabbed Park Si-yoon’s waist with both of his arms, as if I was hugging him.

The streetlights illuminating the surroundings of the neighborhood park, which arrived before anyone knew it, and Park Si-yoon’s face clearly revealed through it. It was fine up to that point.

The only reason I continued talking was because Park Si-yoon’s face had a light blush like a freshly ripe apple. Not only that, but even the eyes rolling in all directions, not knowing what to do. At least, it was a figure that was not in the facial expression category of a person named Park Si-yoon that I had seen in my life.

Only then did I realize that my body overlapped with Park Si-yoon’s body quite excessively, and that my reflection wet in the rain could be a very stimulating sight to the opposite s*x.

And then, the words I heard today from Subin and her unnie Jiyu flashed through my mind. The advice is that if you show a normal appearance and sometimes do something you wouldn’t normally do, the other person may become aware of you.

After analyzing the situation based on the two pieces of information, I could guess why Park Si-yoon was trying so hard to separate me and why he was in trouble because he didn’t know where to put his eyes.

I see, Park Si-yoon is conscious of me right now. She’s not a childhood friend, she’s a woman.

Anger.

As soon as the thought reached that point, her face naturally became hot. I don’t know why, but she felt very embarrassed about her actions that she had done without any shame until recently, and it became difficult for her to look straight into Park Si-yoon’s face.

“… Let’s get out of the rain for a while. I also have a towel in my bag.”

In the end, I had no choice but to take a special measure and ask for a break at an empty pavilion in the park. Fortunately, the offer was accepted, and we left our bodies in a small umbrella again and moved into an empty park.
