World Rules 2 - Edited
Hildelith sat in a lotus position with Akasha on her shoulder. "I am sorry Creator. I didn't mean to..."
"Shhh. It's fine Akasha. You did what I made you for. Never blame yourself for existing. Never". Looking back down she inhaled. "Now. About these rules. Let's begin".
Creator and Akashic energy began their work.
First was the start of all things. the
The origin. Sol. Nothing that happened in the game could be claimed as planned and premeditated. No. From the start to the end, the game had been in control. Even creating Sol had been the game's doing.
Then Haero had started the chain of freedom. Devouring and remaking Sol. Then came building the world. And now she was here.
"From Sol will come the Flame of Life. Flowing through the Star River and into the Dream Realm". Hildelith consented and a ripple spread as the Akasha went to work. A new whirlpool appeared and this time they walked out midair.
Around them was a sea and atmosphere of colors, shapes, and waves. There was nothing but colors, Yet it was the most beautiful thing here.
"What now Akasha?*.
"The Flame of Life will take a wisp of your thought, the Psionic, and Mind before passing on into the Mortal realm". Like before her consent brought a ripple.
Another whirlpool and they were now in the mortal realm.
"But the mortal realm is a land of physicality. Of shape and touch. Initially, the Flame of Life will carve out the shape you envision. This is where the first mortals emerge. But it is still missing something," she scowled at the young woman.
"It does not have a protective shell, even though it has the spark of life,"
"Well said, Creator. This is where the soul enters. the actual embodiment of life. Individuality. Identity. Being. But even in its current state, a soul requires a spark to discover true life."
"I consent ". The ripple spread and she formed another whirlpool in the spirit realm.
Akasha flew up to a soul. One of the many Freyja had created. "A soul departs this world once it has fulfilled all the requirements. It enters the mortal realms through the river of time and is placed in a Flame of Life during its blooming. Thus, life began to exist."
"While the process is indeed beautiful and acceptable, it doesn't answer how a soul would gain protection from attacks of the soul?. How would dying apply?. How would the return upon death?".
Akasha smiled. " The cycle continues. For just like the Creator made the Rings to forever spin so too will life forever cycle. The dead, free from their mortal forms find the river of time. Through this, they are ferried not to the spirit realm but to the divine realm. This journey brings them through the Dream Realm where they are exposed to their deeds and life. Good and bad".
"So, what now?. We are judge over their lives?". An eyebrow was raised. Akasha froze sensing the dislike evident in her tone of voice.
"Yes and no".
"Explain". She knew she sounded harsh but judging people wasn't something she could stomach. Not everything in life was as white and black as shown. There was always the gray.
'But there is and can be the black too. And you know it'. The thought struck her harshly.
"The souls face their deeds. The dream realm as you know it grants physicality to thought and dreams. Yet this same applies to nightmares. When mortals commit bad I believe such actions could be seen as nightmares to others. These very nightmares will be the reason we have to create dreams for those who pass their requirements to defend against the nightmares".
"Defend. You mean..."
"Yes, Creator. My calculations show that the nightmares will be swept up through the rivers and into the Mortal realm. While the dream world grants physicality it will not keep the physical entities in it. Banishing them from its reality the river will begin its cycle".
"But the Dream Realm doesn't only go down. It goes up as well".
"Yes. But what use will nightmares created by mortals do for us. For them it would be a lesson. A need to learn from their errors and could help in creating teachings for how to stay good".
"Excuse me, Akasha". Hildelith scratched her head before linking her very senses to the Akashic energy. She saw it all. Saw the designs and the thoughts. The reasons. The calculations. The endpoint. It shook her.
Her senses snapped back into her body and she took deep breaths. How was she scared for a game world? "My game world".
"Those are just calculations Akasha. Right ?".
"Yes. But..."
'It is a probability". Thinking of what she saw Hildelith made a few reasonings. "The calculations could be wrong. But do I want to risk it? Akasha's plan is not that bad given that well, one this is a game. No real person is going to die. Two, they'll be reincarnated. Three, this will serve as a lesson for mortals. Four and most stupidly important. The players could see this as a lore'.
"There will be those who will use this Akasha".
"Then we Creator will make sure to end them. And if we can't act then I know we can always send a queen".
"I'll just ignore your wanton use of my knowledge. Proceed so I may consent before I change my mind". Hildelith couldn't help but feel like the worst Creator. She'd barely made the mortals and she'd already designed their Holocaust.
"Those who succumb to their nightmares are judged by their hands. Those who pass their nightmares are given a chance of one more life. Those who do not have nightmares but dreams and succeed in their dreams are granted the choice of reincarnation as a mortal or as a higher being".
"This feels really dark".
"We can also change the rule and thrash your Dream Realm". Hildelith looked up hopefully. "But it wouldn't matter. Dreams are born of the mindscape and it is something all sapients possess. One day this will still come to be simply for the reason that Abstract exists. As long as sapient possess focus and the power of will then anything can be done".
The sigh was heavy. "I consent ". A ripple that was greater than the previous ones lashed out. Hildelith couldn't help but think her soon-to-be-born mortals were cursing her for the choice she made.
"But Akasha, I will not let them fight by themselves. Finding the most talented and gifted people will be your job once the world starts. They will be the forerunners to keep the mortals safe. And so help me by The Will I will act if necessary. Additionally, you will inform me when things get out of hand. Look into my mind and see what I think is too far Akasha". Hildelith didn't realize that she had released her Aura.
She was angry that Akasha had persuaded her to make the choice she did, regardless of whether it was the right one or not. Even though she had no ill will toward the young child for merely trying her hardest to please the Creator, she thought there ought to have been a better solution.
An improved means of resolving the nightmares.
She let out a soft sigh and pulled back her aura as well.
"What comes next?"
"I...was hoping that you would...eh...I was hoping,"the fairy girl looked anywhere but at her.
Hildelith felt her heart burst from the fear in the fairy's eyes. Stepping forward she felt her heart break as the energy flinched. Crouching so she was low to the fairy she stretched out a palm and patted it.
"I'm sorry Akasha. I...". She sighed and looked down at the ground. "I'm frustrated that there is no other way. I took out the frustration on you since your calculations didn't show anything else. I... I'm sorry. Forgive me please ".
The little fairy seemed perturbed at this. Slowly it flew close and hugged the Creator's face.
"Akasha understands. Akasha help as best as possible". She cooed.
Hildelith burst into a pained laugh before pulling back. "I think we should complete all this and get started on how to stop those nightmares. Fuck whoever said future problems were for a future me". Patting the fairy again she waited.
"The best we can do is to send the Nightmares to the 8th Ring..."
"Omega Reality. About time to name it". Akasha chuckled then continued.
"Since the Omega Reality represents the end to all. The nightmares won't come back from there. Atleast the mortals won't be facing an unending tide of monstrous creatures while still getting used to the existences that might be a constant for them".
"I still don't see why I can't just have the gods handle it?".
"Because. You don't wish to cuddle them. Be frank Creator. I have a link to your head. You wish for an exciting and interesting world with those player people you keep thinking of. But you don't wish to be the one to bring trouble to your world. Unless you desire to create unbeatable monsters for your world then this is it".
Hildelith blinked. The creepy thing about it was how Akasha never once sounded pissed. More like a professor stating facts.
'I guess I might have been hypocritical. Let's do this. It's a game after all'.
Another ripple spread.
