ALL NOVEL Crisis
Like this Alex stayed in seliana as the events of iceborn played out step by step until finally it was time to go put velkhana down. This meant that it was finally getting to the point where everyone was realizing that shara ishvalda was the one causing problems by messing with one of the main branches of the everstream. Obviously they didn't know exactly what was causing the problem but they did know that something was. The plan was basically to put velkhana down since it had actually tried to attack seliana but had fled in fear when Alex appeared from within the village.-
In order to ensure that the frozen elder didn't attack while Alex and Zane were gone to deal with shara ishvalda they group had decided to end the frozen dragons life. Alex didn't even bother putting on his armor at this point as it was entirely redundant with how strong his defenses were. "Don't know why I'm needed for this since you clearly have it on your own." Zane complained as they were flying to velkhana's area. ' Moral support maybe?' Alex said teasingly and Zane merely grunted and sulked.-
'All seriousness though , you are here for the off chance this hunt goes sideways for whatever reason like I don't know a nergigante showing up.' Alex said honestly. "The last time that happened you took care of that intruding nergigante so I am still not needed. Besides knowing you I bet you'll end the fight in no time at all against velkhana." Zane said pointedly. 'Why don't you fight the thing while I sit on my ass the whole time then?' Alex suggested and they continued to trade banter casually until they finally found Velkhana. Alex of course killed the elder quickly to prevent any repeats of the previous time he hunted the thing.-
Later a meeting had been called in seliana to discuss the matter of finding and dealing with shara ishvalda. In this meeting Alex found it funny how the third fleet master was practically attached to him in order to stay warm since he was radiating a decent amount of heat. She clearly hated the cold but still needed to be here for this meeting anyways. "Thanks to the tireless work of our hunters and scholars we have triangulated the position of the source of the tectonic disturbances to here." the commander said pointing to a spot on the map.-
The head scholar butted in at this point "An initial scouting of the area has revealed it to be an island formed from the unstable movement of the earth as a result of this disturbances. This means that whatever is causing this is very likely to be another type of elder dragon we have no records of." the small old wyverian said seriously. "Yes so this means full preparations with no holds barred , we can afford to be ill prepared for whatever this is. Like discussed Zane and Sid will run point on stopping whatever is causing this so give them all the help they need." the commander said seriously.
Everyone at the table nodded and gave a serious salute to show they had no problem with this. 'Before you all get to it however I feel the need to point out a possibility.' Alex said stopping them from leaving so all eyes were on him. 'As we've recently learned this landmass also has nergigante members. Considering the nature of this species to go after things that make a large commotion I'd like to point out the very real possibility that one or more of these things have been attracted to that island.' he said seriously.-
Everyone had dark expressions when they heard this as it not only was possible but completely fit with what they knew of the species. To the point in fact that it would be stranger to imagine not running into a nergigante on or around the island. "Since you are bringing it up I assume you have a solution?" the commander asked sternly and Alex nodded. 'We need extra healing items as well as a thunder attribute weapon put into the Zane's preparations while I should be fine.' he said honestly.
