Daily Life of a High School Looser after getting System

Chapter 3: The fiction Part 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm at 3:50 a.m. It was early, but I didn't feel too sleepy because I was excited to be on a school trip. I was staying on the 20th floor of a tall hotel, and as I turned toward the window, I saw something truly amazing.

"Oh, I forgot that I woke up early because It's a system quest." I told myself, who just forgot that his looser life was now being controlled by a mere loner system.

Anyway,

The night view outside was beautiful. The city below was full of lights that sparkled like stars. Tall buildings stood proudly, their windows glowing softly in the dark. The streets looked like glowing lines, with red and white car lights moving like tiny streams of light.

Far away, the city's skyline was a dark shape against the deep blue night sky. Neon signs blinked here and there, adding color to the quiet scene. Above it all, the stars shone faintly, as if trying to match the brightness of the city below.

I stood there, looking out in awe. Everything felt peaceful, and for a moment, it was like the world had stopped just for me. The city felt so big and alive, and I felt small but lucky to see it. It was a moment I knew I'd always remember.

The time has came, it's now 4 A.M. local time, and the system's floating window was now updated.

"Checked-in was successful, now let's go to sleep again." As I said myself.

A floating screen changed with 'Warning' word of five screens.

So,I could not sleep,Then I was looking outside. 20 minutes had passed.

Hidden Quest has arrived, You shall teleport in the new location within ten minutes.

This types of quest are necessary, You are not allowed to reject it.

Ah, the great Hidden Quest! The system really knows how to spice up my boring life of 4 a.m. alarms and sweaty push-ups. But seriously, teleportation? Couldn't they just send a taxi? And what's with the punishment? 60 push-ups? At 4 a.m.? Who even thought that up? Satan on a treadmill?

Guess I better pack my snacks and teleport, or my arms will fall off tomorrow. Thanks, system. You really know how to keep the comedy alive... at my expense.

The time had came and instantly was teleported on the graveyard.

"What the heck? What type of misery I am going to face." I couldn't hold myself for complaining.

It reminded me a famous story which was commented on graveyard as 'A graveyard at night has a quiet, eerie atmosphere. The darkness envelops the area, and shadows from trees and headstones stretch and move with the moonlight or a faint glow from nearby streetlights. The cool air often feels still, and the silence is deep, broken only by the occasional rustling of leaves or the distant call of an animal.

The headstones, made of stone or marble, appear darker and more mysterious in the night. Some may catch a glimmer of moonlight, while others blend into the shadows, making their inscriptions hard to read. Larger monuments or statues may stand like silent guardians, adding a sense of solemnity to the space.

The paths winding through the graveyard, whether paved or dirt, may look darker and harder to follow. Plants, such as overgrown grass, ivy, or flowers left by visitors, can seem more pronounced, their shapes unclear in the dim light. If the graveyard has trees, their tall silhouettes and bare branches may look skeletal, as though reaching out into the night sky.

Sometimes, there might be distant, soft sounds—a creak of an old gate, the chirp of crickets, or the howl of wind brushing through the stones. These sounds can make the graveyard feel alive in a way that sparks imagination. The night adds a layer of mystery to an already solemn place, evoking thoughts of the past and the people buried there.

If there's fog, it creates an even more ghostly effect, rolling low across the ground and clinging to the gravestones. The mist can make the graveyard look otherworldly, as though it's caught between this world and another.

The overall feeling of a graveyard at night can vary—some may find it peaceful, reflecting on the quiet resting place of loved ones, while others might feel unsettled by the shadows and stillness, imagining unseen things hidden in the dark. It's a place that naturally invites contemplation, whether it's of life, death, or the mysteries that lie beyond.'

"Who the hell gets peace here?"

*

Hidden Quest :

1. Slay 100 souls of deads (which attack you)

2. Slay a head of a soul

3. Locked

^ Battle starts in two minutes

^ Soul Hunter Sword will be given to slay

As I stared at the system screen, I felt my brain short-circuit.

"Slay 100 souls of the dead?" I read aloud, my voice dripping with disbelief. "Oh, yeah, sure. Why not? Because taking on a literal army of angry, undead spirits sounds like such a relaxing afternoon activity. Definitely what I signed up for when I decided to be the universe's punching bag."

I squinted at the next line. "Slay a head of a soul? What does that even mean? Are we talking about a floating skull situation here, or do I have to decapitate an actual ghost? Do ghosts even have necks? Am I supposed to have a philosophical debate with them first? 'Hello, Mr. Ghost, could you kindly point me to your most behead-able part?' Yeah, that'll go over well."

And then, oh boy, my favorite part—the mysterious "Locked."

"Locked?" I scoffed, throwing my hands in the air. "Because apparently slaying a hundred souls and their…head leader isn't quite enough carnage for one afternoon. Oh no, let's throw in a surprise twist at the end! I bet it's something like, 'Fight the Soul King' or 'Sacrifice your own soul to unlock the Cosmic Power of Doom.' Great. Amazing. Can't wait to find out!"

Then my eyes landed on the final line. The cherry on top of this cursed sundae.

"Battle starts in two minutes."

I blinked. "Two minutes? TWO MINUTES?!" My voice cracked as I looked around wildly, as though some benevolent deity would suddenly pop out and offer me an extension. "What am I supposed to do in two minutes? Write a will? Hug a tree? Perform some sort of ghost-slaying warm-up routine? What kind of system just throws you into a battlefield with zero preparation? Oh wait, this one does!"

I began pacing, throwing my arms around like a lunatic. "I bet there's some smug system designer watching me right now, eating spectral popcorn and laughing their incorporeal butt off. 'Look at this idiot protagonist panicking! Let's give them a random fireball to the face while we're at it. Classic entertainment!'"

I sighed, dragging a hand down my face. "Alright, deep breaths. One hundred ghosts, their head, and a big fat question mark. No big deal. I've survived worse, right?"

Pause.

Actually, no, I haven't. This is officially the worst. But hey, who needs sanity anyway? Let's just throw myself into the grinder and hope for the best. Alright, ghosts—come at me. But maybe… give me a minute and a half to cry internally first?
