chapter 24
24 – Masters Class
A knight was moving somewhere, pulling a wagon loaded with oak barrels.
He was an apprentice knight of the Wiesel Knights. He muttered to himself as he looked around at the peaceful scenery of Wiesel.
“I came in for the honor, but what I do is slavery.”
The apprentice knight could not understand.
Did you have to call a knight to transport the work that could have been done by an attendant? Even wearing armor with the great seal of the Knights and putting a flag on the cart?
Looking at it, it doesn’t seem like a valuable item. If it had been wine in an oak barrel, I would have stole it a few times out of anger.
After passing the corner of the hill, I saw a large mansion nestled in a place with a good view far away.
The apprentice engineer compared the map and the surrounding terrain several times before saying,
“That’s it, that’s where this body should go.”
He hummed as he pulled the wagon.
A couple of hours later, in front of the mansion, a group of people came out.
At the center of the crowd was a tall, slender woman. A boy and a girl are standing next to them. On either side of it, attendants were lined up waiting for someone.
The apprentice knight narrowed his eyes. It’s a familiar silhouette somewhere.
‘what?’
Looking closely, the person in the middle was the Archmage Silverin whom I had seen a while ago. Next to him was Damian, a prodigy and genius prosecutor.
The apprentice knight was dumbfounded.
‘Oh my God, the place marked on the map was the Archmage’s mansion!’
Now I could understand why the flag with the great seal of the Knights was placed on the cart.
The Archmage is coming to meet you!
Was the status of the knights like this? My heart grew hotter and hotter.
The knight proudly entered the manor of the mansion.
The knight who stopped the wagon a few steps away from Silverin ran straight to her and knelt down in front of her.
“An honorable knight of the Wiesel Knights and the third son of the Lahart family… .”
Seeing this, Silverin wrinkled her brow and gestured to her to step aside.
“Dear Archmage… ?”
The bewildered knight looked at the reactions of the people around him.
They had no interest in the knight and their eyes were fixed on the distance.
The knight followed their gaze and turned his head back.
From afar, black carriages with Eternian crests were approaching the mansion in a row.
“… !”
Silverin’s disciple, Damien, called a separate knight and guided them quietly.
“This way.”

After putting all the griffon’s blood into the manufacturing room, I caught my breath. A total of six oak barrels.
It was a little late and it was heartbreaking, but I received a lot more than expected. This amount can be used for more than a year even if you manufacture and consume one bottle a day.
Three or four griffons must have been sheep, but it seemed the knights were a bit generous.
The problem is that potions cannot be manufactured and tested, and must be used in practice.
what could be the problem You must prepare your mind.
Lillia followed into the manufacturing room.
“Are these the last ingredients?”
“Yes.”
Lyria picked up one of the flask bottles and opened the lid of the oak barrel to contain the liquid.
He then observed this by shaking the flask.
It is colorless, odorless, and has a high viscosity, so it looks like colorless honey. It has a completely different feel from the blood of normal monsters and beasts that people know.
Lillia, who was quietly observing this, asked me with a completely confused face.
“What the hell is this?”
“It’s griffon’s blood.”
“Oh my gosh… .”
Lyria looked around the oak barrels again and was shocked.
“Well, anyway, this is the last ingredient, right?”
“that’s right.”
“Huh, what should I do… I am so nervous.”
“Why is Lyria nervous?”
“I don’t know… . Why are you doing this?”
Liria was also watching the Eternian carriage procession approaching the mansion. She can’t help but know that this isn’t normal.
I took out a note with the final combination formula written down in my pocket. The important work in making the Griffin Potion was over, and only simple but laborious work remained.
“Lilia, I have a favor to ask you.”
“Yes?”
I handed her a note and said.
“Could you make a potion like this and bring it to me? As soon as possible.”
Lillia took the paper, glanced over it, and nodded with a determined face.
“Yes!”

Just by looking at her expression, it seemed like Lilia would be tested, not me.
A sound of urgent footsteps approached the manufacturing room.
A maid announced the arrival of the examiners at the door of the manufacturing room.
“The carriage has just entered the mansion.”
***
I was standing next to Sylverine, watching the carriage come across the gate.
Among the five wagons, the one in the middle was particularly large in size, and had splendid decorations embedded in its surface.
On either side of the carriage were guarded by two knights in golden armor.
I heard the story from Silverin and knew who the person riding in it was.
When the wagon finished properly entering, one of the escort knights, who seemed to be a captain, shouted.
“Everyone to their seats!”
At the same time, the carriages stopped all at once in front of the mansion. Soon after, the coachmen dismounted and opened the doors of each carriage as if in a group dance.
For a moment, it becomes quiet as if the world has stopped.
First, a woman grabs the knight’s hand and gets off from the large carriage in the center.
She had blonde hair neatly rolled up, and had thin, round glasses on a small face. The hem of the colorfully embroidered clothes comes down to the feet.
When the maids saw her, they unknowingly exclaimed.
Looking at the clothes and decorations, it looks like an elderly high priest or royalty, but the face is neat and tidy, as if it were just 20 years old.
I couldn’t help but doubt my eyes.
Pointy ears I’ve never seen before.
She was an elf, a race cut off from human interaction.
Silverin, who was watching her, said to me.
“You too have been blessed with strange luck, disciple.”
“… .”
As Silverin said, it’s really strange luck.
I’ve heard about it beforehand, but seeing it in person feels completely different.
Elizabeth Thiers.
The one who made me so nervous.
She was the first sorcerer I encountered in my life, and she was also the one who reached the pinnacle of sorcery.
I never imagined it would be an elf.
I recalled the adjectives attached to Elizabeth in my head.
The mother of sorcery.
queen of trees.
Lord of Plantera.
Heart of Eternia.
And Eternia’s sympathy.
She, who rarely appears in Eternia, came to see me for some reason.
***
Gael got off the wagon with Flynn. And the masked examiners also started to get off the carriage one by one.
Except for Vice Principal Elizabeth, the identities of the other judges were unknown even to Gael. The only information Gael heard was that he was an outsider who had been given an honorary position by the academy.
The long journey of three weeks was looking at its end.
And the main purpose of this journey, the schedule of the Masters Class screening, ends in just one day.
Furthermore, the time to go into the screening was only ten minutes.
On the other hand, Eternia’s entrance exam is given a week long. The more important Masters Class screening only took an extremely short amount of time.
The complex and detailed test was just to gather a large number of ordinary talents and distinguish their skills, and it did not take a long time to identify a single genius.
In ten minutes everything is over.
In front of the mansion, Silverin and servants came out to meet her. Silverin glanced at Gael, then fixed her gaze on Elizabeth again.
A boy stood next to Silverin.
I’ve been familiar with it by word of mouth ever since I entered Wiesel.
The boy that Silverin finally embraced after ignoring so many geniuses was that boy.
A student of the Archmage, but a child with a sword.
Gael couldn’t tell. Did he just get it because he was in a good mood, did he discover something in the boy that other geniuses didn’t, or did he have another plan?
Silverin was a human being that was difficult to predict. It was quite possible for her to use people to achieve her goals and to throw them away mercilessly.
Anyway, since I came this far, I couldn’t go over it lightly.
The boy will now face a ruthless judgment under the guise of being a Master’s Class judge and Silverin’s apprentice.
Gael turned around and shouted at the escort knights.
“Raise Plantera!”
The knights approached the huge wagon at the end of the train of wagons. Then he grabbed the black tent that covered the luggage and peeled it off completely.
The wooden dolls, which had been sleeping crumpled up in the wagon, began to rise slowly in the sunlight.
Kwajik
As they got up, the wagon, which rocked at the same time, could not bear the weight and the wheels collapsed.
thump-thump-
Huge wooden dolls walked out one by one with heavy steps.
The stalwart knights were so huge that they couldn’t even reach their chests, and the resulting intimidation choked their breath.
It was the work of Elizabeth, a great magistrate, and is now a symbol of Eternia.
It was Plantera.
Thousands of legions of wooden dolls are stationed on Mount Grace, which is adjacent to Eternia’s main building.
It was thanks to the Plantera Corps that Eternia was able to maintain its independent power without entering into an empire, kingdom, principality, or any city alliance.
For a moment, fear crept into the faces of the maids watching Plantera.
