Chapter 42 – A Level 6 Adventurer Is Just A Joke Compare To Her!

Chapter 42 - A Level 6 Adventurer Is Just A Joke Compare To Her!

When Bell returned to the fourth floor, he found a suitable place to rest.

He took a deep breath, his eyes showing a hint of thought.

"I didn't expect this time to come."

During his time in Orario, Bell hadn't been gathering much information, so he wasn't well aware of the current situation.

Before he knew it, a lot of time had passed.

Not that this information was super important. The Loki Familia's activities were just a reminder of how much time had gone by.

Right now, Bell was more focused on whether defeating the five Minotaurs quickly would give him enough excelia to level up.

Normally, it should be enough.

After all, a Level 1 adventurer only needed to defeat a strong monster alone to qualify for a rank-up.

But to earn excelia, you had to take risks.

And Bell, being a Level 1 adventurer, wasn't in falna sense stronger than the Minotaurs he had faced.

So, he believed this would give him the excelia he needed.

"If I get enough excelia, the next thing is to improve my basic abilities until I hit the limit."

In that case, Bell wouldn't need to rush back to the surface just yet.

Besides, he had to stay cautious of the Loki Familia.

The Loki Familia wasn't a group of easy-going adventurers. Each one had their own ambitions and desires, making them tough to deal with.

Bell had to prepare for the worst when considering the Loki Familia's intentions.

"The one who caught up with the Minotaurs must have been that Sword Princess from the Loki Familia."

"That means the other members of the Loki Familia must have found out about me."

"It looks like I'll have to be extra careful in the coming days."

If the worst-case scenario came true, the Loki Familia might already know where he was or have even guessed his identity.

Bell definitely didn't want Loki's attention on him, especially since Freya hadn't even set her sights on him yet.

Keeping a low profile and improving his strength was the best strategy.

After a quick rest, Bell began his training on the fourth floor again.

This time, instead of relying on his authority over lightning to defeat the War Shadows, he focused on improving his battle instincts with swordsmanship.

Even though Bell's swordsmanship was already top-tier thanks to the experience he inherited from the nameless martial artist, this approach allowed him to refine his skills even more.

The method might have been slow, but it helped Bell slowly deepen his understanding of fighting.

What Bell needed most now was time to fully settle everything.

While Bell was busy in the dungeon, the Loki Familia had already returned to their manor.

As soon as they got back, Finn immediately sought out Loki to report everything that had happened on the ninth floor.

"Oh? So you think the one who killed those Minotaurs and slipped away from Ais is a newcomer?" Loki asked, her interest clearly piqued.

"Yeah, they purposely avoided Ais. If it were someone we knew, even if they had the strength to take down the Minotaurs, they wouldn't have moved so fast or hidden their identity."

"Hmm… based on what you're saying, it sounds like they're a newcomer trying to stay under the radar."

Loki agreed with Finn's conclusion.

It made sense that this person was a new adventurer in Orario.

"But it won't be easy to find a rookie like that," Loki mused.

"Rookie adventurers haven't made much of a name for themselves lately."

Finn nodded and added, "This person must be strong enough to take down Minotaurs in seconds."

"So this rookie is hiding on purpose. They wouldn't be famous, or the gods would have already noticed them."

Loki chuckled. Adventurers with talent usually wanted to get noticed, hoping to catch the attention of the gods.

But those who stayed hidden at the start were always the hardest to find.

Even though Loki was interested in this rookie, she knew finding them would be difficult.

Finn understood this too.

"It's one thing if their god told them to stay hidden. But if they're acting on their own, they'll be almost impossible to track down."

While Finn was curious about this mysterious adventurer, something else was bothering him.

"Loki, did you hear about the monster party yesterday?"

"Of course! That was a big deal," Loki said, her playful demeanor dropping for a moment.

The monster party had even surprised Loki, who was one of Orario's Twin Kings.

"The Guild told me something strange," Loki continued. "Ouranos himself said, 'The dungeon is stable.'"

"Finn, does that sound right to you?"

Finn found it odd as well.

The visible chaos in the dungeon didn't match the Guild's words.

He paused, thinking it over.

"I'm not sure," he admitted. "But I don't think the Guild's answer was meant to mislead us. It might just mean that there wasn't a natural monster party."

Loki's eyes, usually narrowed in thought, widened slightly.

"Are you saying someone caused the dungeon's unrest?"

Finn nodded.

"I see."

Loki agreed with Finn's reasoning.

"There's more… while you were in the dungeon, the whole of Orario was hit by a huge thunderstorm."

"What?!" Finn's eyes widened in shock. He had lived in Orario for a long time, and nothing like this had ever happened.

"A lightning bolt even struck Babel," Loki added seriously.

"Did a god get sent back to heaven?"

"No, it seems like some god has figured out how to use their Arcanum in the lower world."

Finn trembled as he heard Loki's words.

"You have to be careful. A god's power is something beyond human understanding. If they were serious, the entire city would've been reduced to a wasteland. Every child would've been wiped out."

"So, what do we do if that god is evil? We'll be in deep trouble. No, we have to kill them."

"Haha, what did you just say?" Loki's voice turned cold as an overwhelming aura filled the air.

The moment it appeared, Finn felt the world spin. Cold sweat broke out, and he instantly dropped to his knees. His mind went blank for a second.

Then, the massive aura vanished.

"Do you know that was just 0.01% of my power?" Loki said in an icy tone. Her voice sent shivers down Finn's spine. He had never seen Loki like this before.

For a moment, he thought she would actually kill him. And he had no doubt that Loki could have done it.

Loki always acted playful and casual, but deep down, she was still a true goddess, a princess of Asgard.

"Finn, if I didn't have some affection for you, I would've killed you on the spot."

"The second you even think about killing a god is the moment you invite death."

Loki's words, though simple, carried a terrifying weight.

Finn, a Level 6 adventurer, had never felt so close to death. Now, he truly understood the massive gap between gods and mortals.

"Besides, my brother is the god of thunder. If it's somehow his doing, then I'd have no choice but to kill you right here."

Trembling, Finn bowed to Loki, lowering himself to the ground. His humble posture seemed to calm her down.

This was how humans were supposed to respect the gods.

"Goddess Loki, please forgive me," Finn said softly, bowing his head so low it touched the ground.

"Alright, I hear you. As long as you don't have those thoughts again, you're still my child. Just make sure you don't think like that in the future."

"Well, well, don't bow like that. Come on, let's go grab a drink." Loki's mood instantly shifted back.

She helped Finn stand up and hooked her arm around his shoulder like nothing had happened.
