Chapter 33: Trapped
Odd, very odd.
I have never in all of my years of hunting have I ever seen something like this. Yet here this thing was, sitting in front of my eyes.
It was what looked like a floating semi-transparent sphere with a lady in the middle of it. The lady was dressed clothes that an adventurer would wear under their armor.
"Hey!" I yelled at her, but with no response back.
Her eyes were open and were looking at something that was in her hands, but from I could see she wasn't holding a thing.
I was thinking of trying to grab her, but if I touched the sphere she was in, I could get frozen along with her.
And even if I did get her out, I got my food supplies wasn't endless. In the best-case scenario, she lived nearby and was an adventurer, worst case she lives far away and can't take care of herself.
Mom did always say to leave what's well enough alone, and whatever spell that seemed to be on her also froze everything else about her as well, so she probably wouldn't need food.
But those eyes. I've seen people knocked out before; I have been knocked out before, but this was different, it was weird.
It didn't look like she was unconscious, quite the opposite really, it was like she had one thought that was stretched out for as long as she's been like this.
I couldn't just leave this lady like this; my conscious would kill me if I did.
So, I reached out to grab her.

Domnus had a feeling that he would need to bail soon.
On one hand the Loki familia had bought twenty-three bands of regeneration, and twenty-seven of the mana regeneration bands. Netting Domnus a clean one-hundred-fifty thousand valis!
Not a bad day for Domnus, if he wasn't currently in debt with the Goibniu familia he would get some good food after he stopped for the day.
On the other hand, there were currently three assassins that were knocked out next to him that he would smack back into unconsciousness when they woke up.
The second assassin was the same as the first, Domnus stopped them, they said they were there to protect their Goddess, Domnus has mercy, they come back, get knocked out, and get put next to him.
When the third one came to try to stab Domnus, he just knocked him and put the assassin next to himself without saying a word. The person who was buying from Domnus at that time was confused, but they still bought from him without too many questions.
He wasn't too sure if there was going to be more of them, or if the three bodies around him would scare off any other would-be assassins, but the bodies were starting to drive off customers and Domnus's attention was wearing thin.
It also didn't help that the Loki familia was starting to get in lines. It wasn't too noticeable just yet, but they were soon to leave.
Though considering that there was a customer walking towards Domnus, he knew that he would just have to stay where he was and just continue to keep an eye on the three aggressors until the Loki familia finally went into the dungeon.
"Hello!" a, what looked to be a young blonde boy, greeted, "My name Fin, I am one of the captains of the Loki familia," he said.
"Well hello to you," Domnus responded, "How can my shop help you and your familia today?" Domnus then asked.
"I was wondering about the regeneration and mana regeneration bands that you have sold to my familia," Fin said to Domnus.
"Were you looking to get one yourself?" Domnus asked, "Don't worry I have plenty more if you would like one," he said confidently.
"Actually, I was wondering about a refund to all of the bands that our familia had bought from you," Fin said, "The money that they used belonged to the total familia, not for them to individually use." Fin explained, "I am so sorry for the inconvenience."
"Unfortunately, I will need to see some kind of proof of purchase like a receipt if you want to return something you bought from me," Domnus responded.
"Are the bands themselves not enough of a proof of purchase to do a return?" Fin wondered.
"Sorry but it is not," Domnus replied.
"I see," Fin responded, "Now hold on, did you ever give out something to prove that they purchased it?" then wondered.
For a moment, both Domnus and Fin stood in silence.
"I'm sorry if you don't have a proof of purchase, I cannot refund any of the bands," Domnus said once more, "Now I am sorry, but I will have to get going. I have to drop off some people who don't really like me," Domnus said getting up from his stand.
"Wait, I would still like to discuss refunds for my familia," Fin said.
"I wish you and your familia well in this dungeon excursion," Domnus said ignoring Fin while packing up his stand into a backpack.
"Hold on for a second," Fin said trying to stop Domnus.
"Goodbye," Domnus said putting on his backpack and grabbing the three aggressors and putting them on his shoulders.
Putting one foot in front of the other Domnus sped away from Fin as fast as he could.
Unfortunately for Fin he had to lead his familia into the dungeon so he couldn't go and try to catch him. Though Fin would remember this.
Domnus did not care and was just happy that he got to keep his earnings and not lose them because the adventurers bought it with money that technically wasn't theirs.
It was also a good time to leave due to the Loki familia beginning to group up into lines.

Opening the door to the guild Domnus felt multiple eyes on him, most likely because of the three bodies he was caring but the posters around the room calling him a murderer doesn't help either.
"Excuse me," Domnus said walking up to the person running the front desk, " I would like to know where to drop off three different people who tried to kill me," Domnus asked.
"That would be at the at the desk on the left," the front desk attendant responded pointing to her left with the best smile she could put on while being scared.
"Thank you," Domnus thanked before heading over to the place where the attendant pointed to.
Within moments Domnus stood in front of a desk which had an attendant at it that seemed to have a higher level than most people in the city.
"Here you go," Domnus said unloading the three people on to the desk, "Have a good day," he said before turning to leave.
"Wait a minute," the attendant said causing Domnus to turn back around, "Why are you dropping these people here?" she asked.
"Simple, they tried to murder me," Domnus responded.
"Do you have any eyewitnesses that can prove it?" the attendant then asked.
"Well, it happened in front of the dungeon so adventurers entering at that time could tell you," Domnus replied.
"Do you know what time these people tried to kill you at?" the attendant asked.
"Unfortunately no," Domnus admitted.
"No offence but I'm not talking to every adventurer that went into the dungeon today to ask them about this," the attendant replied.
"What will happen to them now?" Domnus wondered.
"People given to me immediately get put in a cell for little bit," the attendant explained, "But they'll be released shortly due to the lack of evidence," the attendant said with a yawn.
"Good enough for me," Domnus said turning towards the door, "Goodbye."
