Quest 39.5- Infection
After the meeting was finished, Loviatar and Apate went to a private room.
“So Loviatar, what did you wanna discuss with me?”
“I want to ask of you if the way Vritra and Chernobog left the city is still open?”
“…” Apate then looked at her with curious eyes. “Why? Are you planning on leaving us?”
“N-no! but I have been going through old records and texts to find this!” Loviatar then took out a rather old and worn-out book.
“What’s this?”
“B-back, during the time the gods haven’t yet descended to Gekai, there were several powerful beasts! Long before the Behemoth, Leviathan, and even the Black Dragon showed up! These were the great Five Calamities! The Hecatoncheir, The Multiarmed Mountain! Wendigo, The Hollowed Forest! The Nuckelavee, The Nightmare of Land & Sea! The Nidhogg, the now-former King of Monsters! And last but not least, the Iku-Turso, the Black Sea! These 5 monsters were all either killed or sealed away!”
“So… what? you wish to free the ones that are sealed?”
A sinister grin grew on Loviatar’s face.
“Of course! If one or two of these monsters are free, imagine how much resources will be put into subjugating them!”
“Heh~ I like that plan! But you didn’t call me in just to tell me this, right?”
“Of course not! I know of 2 of the monster's sealed locations! The Hecatoncheir and Nuckelavee!”
“And what if the others?” Apate said curiously.
“The Wendigo was sealed somewhere far up north, the Iku-Turso was sealed somewhere at sea near where is now called Telskyura, so that is a no go for obvious reasons.”
“Of course, of course, but what of the Nidhogg?”
“Killed, from the records I could read it said that the Black Dragon killed it in one attack.”
“Fufu… I will help you with this! So which of the 2 do you wish to free first?”
With a devilish smile, the two goddesses made they went about this secret plan, Loviatar left the city along with her children in small numbers.
Apate informed the other members of Evilus that she was not abandoning them but simply doing a fun secret plan for them that will bear fruit in time for them.
