DC hero at Marvel

Chapter 57: Chapter 57 The Next Power

After the Kingpin incident, Anton finally felt more at ease.

Over the past few days, he had been busy managing DC Company's operations and planning its long-term development strategy.

His primary focus was on DC's content creation, collaborating with Browning Tobey—a former award-winning screenwriter and now the head of DC's writing department—to develop storylines for upcoming virtual superheroes.

Naturally, the first superhero in development was none other than Superman.

Though Anton's main persona was modeled after DC's iconic Batman, he fully recognized Superman immense power.

If he could unlock Superman, it would instantly elevate him to a top-tier force.

As widely known, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's power hierarchy can be roughly divided into Earth-level, Skyfather-level, and Cosmic-level.

Anton estimated that an ordinary Superman could be at the peak of Skyfather-level, possibly brushing the threshold of Cosmic-level.

As for other unique Superman forms, they far surpassed Anton's current understanding, reaching levels like Multiversal, Ultraversal, and even Omniversal—concepts that defy ordinary comprehension.

One thing was clear: even a regular Superman would dominate the Earth effortlessly.

In the cosmic scale, even Superman's ordinary form could rule as a formidable overlord.

The biggest challenge, however, was that unlocking the ordinary Superman required a whopping 100 million fan points. How many more points would it take to unlock the other forms?

Golden Superman, Silver Superman, Cosmic Armor Superman, Thought Robot Superman, Parallax Superman, Doomsday Superman—all these forms were lofty, unattainable dreams for now.

Justice points, after all, had to be earned by doing good deeds!

When compared, even saving the Earth wasn't enough to unlock these special forms. Anton estimated it would take resolving multiple cosmic crises, saving the universe, or even addressing multiversal threats to accumulate enough justice points.

Clearly, these were long-term goals for Anton.

For now, just unlocking Superman's ordinary form would already make him unstoppable on Earth.

Even if Thanos were to arrive a few years early, Anton was confident he could take him on in a one-on-one fight.

Provided Thanos didn't have the Infinity Stones, of course.

The biggest hurdle remained the sheer cost: 100 million fan points, with no discounts.

So far, despite all his exploits under the Batman persona, including releasing Batman movies and novels, Anton had only managed to accumulate less than 50 million fan points. Reaching 100 million was a distant goal.

At this rate, it would take at least a year or two, even under the best circumstances.

"Unlocking Superman can't be rushed—it must be a gradual process. If I can manage it within two years, that'll already be a huge success," Anton thought.

He realized he needed to lower his immediate goals.

Considering DC's current scale, launching every DC hero simultaneously was beyond reach. For now, hiring more writers and artists to focus on novels and comics was the way to go, gradually building up momentum.

Beyond the main target of "Superman," Anton decided to allocate resources to unlock a relatively cheaper hero as well.

After all, relying on just the Batman persona felt limiting.

"That said, Green Arrow only costs 10 million…"

Anton thought for a moment but quickly dismissed Green Arrow as an option.

Green Arrow's abilities overlapped too much with Batman's. Oliver Queen felt like a low-budget version of Bruce Wayne, lacking significant utility or the ability to address Anton's weaknesses.

Next was Cyborg, requiring just 20 million fan points.

Anton stroked his chin. Cyborg seemed like an excellent second choice.

Cyborg, whose real name was Victor Stone, had originally been an athlete. A tragic accident involving an Apokoliptian Mother Box left him critically injured. To save him, his father, Silas Stone, used advanced alien technology from the government's "Red Room Laboratory," transforming Victor into a half-human, half-mechanical being.

Most of his body had been replaced by machinery, granting him superhuman strength, endurance, and resilience. His mechanical parts also housed powerful weapons, enabling him to fly, scout, and withstand bullets. He even possessed an advanced sensor system and an upgraded brain functioning as a quantum computer, making him an unparalleled hybrid of AI and human intelligence.

Unlocking a highly mobile hero like Cyborg would perfectly complement Batman's capabilities.

The best part? It wasn't expensive!

"20 million fan points—if everything goes smoothly, I can achieve this within a few months," Anton mused.

Having gained experience from unlocking Batman, Anton felt confident in his approach.

As a genius director with inherent star power, coupled with the resources of DC, launching one or two new IPs wasn't an issue. Success, however, hinged on how much he was willing to invest.

Anton was willing to spare no expense. Failure wasn't an option—only action mattered.

He turned to Browning.

"Boss, I've finished outlining the Superman storyline you prioritized. The draft is ready, so we can quickly deliver either a novel or a script," Browning reported. "As for Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Shazam, we're also working on their development. Novels will be published on the Daily Bugle Forum soon."

"Excellent. Remember, our primary focus for now is Superman and Cyborg," Anton instructed with satisfaction. "Ensure their stories follow the outlines I provided."

"Understood," Browning nodded, rubbing his temples.

"And don't forget to finalize the movie scripts for Superman and Cyborg as soon as possible," Anton added. "These are key to our company's next film projects. Double bonuses upon completion."

"No problem," Browning agreed.

Though the workload was heavy, the pay made it worthwhile.

Seeing Browning's attitude, Anton smiled faintly.

As a wealthy man, he had grown accustomed to the "throw money at problems" approach.

Suddenly, he found himself appreciating the joys of Tony Stark's lifestyle.

Of course, his current fortune still fell far short of Stark's legendary wealth.

After issuing his directives, Anton returned to the Daily Bugle.

Eddie greeted him with a teasing remark: "Anton, I heard that Obadiah Stane is holding a press conference today. He's going to announce that certain individuals within Stark Industries colluded with Kingpin for personal gain. He'll also offer a formal apology and promise strict internal measures. Honestly, the guy's a sly old fox."

"Oh?"

Anton looked up, surprised, and turned his attention to the news on TV.

The screen showed the front entrance of Stark Industries, where Obadiah Stane stood solemnly at a press conference, addressing the media and viewers with a grave expression.
