DC: OMNITRIX

CHAPTER 4

XLR8, a member of the Kineceleran tribe from the planet of Kinet, possesses the ability to move at incredible speeds, living up to its name. With age and experience, its speed increases significantly.

In the original work, the ten-year-old XLR8 can run at speeds exceeding 300 miles per hour, while the thirty-something XLR8 can survey the entire globe in a matter of seconds.

Yuri's physiological age is sixteen, and he has no combat experience, so the XLR8 he transforms into cannot reach the level of the older XLR8. However, he is faster than the ten-year-old version.

"Whoosh!"

Yuri runs towards the direction where the magician disappeared, leaving behind an almost invisible blue streak.

—-—

Axel Walker is very happy right now.

This is probably the happiest day of his life, after all, not everyone gets the chance to steal something from the evidence room of Keystone City Police Department.

Let alone the fact that he stole equipment belonging to the supervillain named Trickster.

Oh, it should be called the first-generation Trickster, and now Axel is using these equipments, he has become the new Trickster.

Axel had to admit that the previous Trickster was a very clever guy. He liked these strange equipments, which allowed him to easily manipulate the security guards of the police station.

"How did that old bastard come up with the idea of the levitation shoes? This is so much fun!"

As Axel ran in the air, he looked around with great interest, for him walking in the air was a new experience.

Two or three police cars tried to catch up with this young second-generation Trickster, but he was moving in the sky, not restricted by terrain, while the police cars could only gallop on the ground, not only avoiding other vehicles but also not allowed to go in the opposite direction.

Axel shook off the police cars in just two minutes, landed on the roof of a building with a hearty laugh.

"I did it! I got the uniform and equipment of a super criminal, and now I am a super criminal too! Hahahaha."

He walked to the edge of the building, looking out at the bustling world below, his eyes full of confidence for the future.

"Now that I've done this, that guy should allow me to join the team..."

Axel grinned to himself as he spoke.

"You look so happy. I don't want to ruin your mood, but you brought this upon yourself."

Suddenly, a dark and hoarse voice that didn't sound quite human echoed from behind Axel.

Axel instantly turned around, his right hand swiftly retrieving a toy water gun from his bag.

As he faced the direction behind him, he already had the toy water gun tightly in his hand, with his index finger even resting on the trigger, ready to pull.

However, there was nothing behind him.

"What's going on?"

Axel was taken aback, starting to suspect that he was hearing things.

"Behind you."

Yuri, who had turned into XLR8, reminded him in a soft voice, making Axel's eye widen.

At the moment when Axel turned around, Yuri had already "slowly" arrived behind him, and all of Axel's actions were in slow motion in his eyes.

As a novice Trickster, Axel of course felt like he was being toyed with, and he didn't like that feeling. Not. One. Bit.

But Yuri didn't care whether he was pleased or not. He had only one goal in coming here.

"You're a magician, right? I can't control what you do, but you just broke my transportation. Be reasonable and pay me compensation. I don't want to waste any more time."

Yuri tried to reason with him, but Axel had no intention of listening to him. Suddenly, Axel turned his head and, without even aiming, lifted the toy water gun and fired a shot, with a yellow laser shooting out from the nozzle.

However, there was still nothing in front of him.

Knowing this would happen long ago, Axel smirked slightly and reached behind his back with his other hand, scattering a handful of itching powder. If someone was behind him, they would be hit within ten meters.

"The Flash? No, Blacksmith said the Flash is no longer in Central City, so you must be Kid Flash. Do you think these tricks can scare me?"

Obviously, Axel didn't listen to Yuri's words, otherwise he wouldn't have mistaken the identity of his attacker. Proudly turning around, he hoped to see the superhero scrambling on him.

Then he felt a gust of wind coming towards him.

Axel tried to widen his eyes to see clearly, but he could only catch a glimpse of a blurred shadow that flashed by.

*Snap!*

The next second, Axel's face was heavily hit, and his body was passively thrown backwards.

Just before he hit the ground, his back suddenly felt a shock, and the pain made him grit his teeth. At the same time, Axel's body, which was about to fall, also bounced up and landed on his face instead of his back.

Just before he was about to hit his face on the ground, the familiar shock came again, this time in his chest.

His falling body bounced up again, and the feeling of dizziness and confusion rushed to his head.

This happened repeatedly, and Axel's body never touched the ground. Throughout the entire process, he never saw who was toying with him.

"Shit! Stop! Stop quickly! What the hell is wrong with you?"

Axel yelled loudly while enduring the burning pain in his chest and back and the urge to vomit.

*Thud!*

Upon hearing this, Yuri stopped instantly, letting Axel fall to the ground and lie there.

"You have already tasted bitterness, so I hope you don't do anything stupid."

Axel nodded weakly. Is this the outcome of fighting against a superhero? It's not quite what he imagined.

"What do you want?"

"Hand over your wallet!"

Axel was stunned. What the fuck? Is this what a hero should say?

He struggled to lift his head and then saw an unforgettable sight.

A dinosaur-like creature was standing silently next to him, overlooking him. Its narrow face was covered by a black helmet which opened with a swish, revealing a blue face with green, pupil-less eyes and a linear mouth with no nose. Its long, powerful tail swayed slightly behind the dinosaur-like creature, as if it could launch a fatal attack at any moment. This creature was the one who had been tossing Axel around earlier.

Axel didn't like learning and had never paid attention in class before, but his limited knowledge of biology was enough to make him realize one fact.

That creature in front of him was definitely not a species that should exist on Earth!

The itching powder he sprinkled on it had no effect. This was simply a useless attempt. Even the old Trickster, no matter how much of a genius he was, could not create product that could affect extraterrestrial creatures.

"What...what are you? Why are you attacking me?" asked Axel, swallowing nervously.

He knew that there were many extraterrestrial beings on Earth, such as the Kryptonians who can fly through the sky and the Martians with green skin...

It wasn't surprising to see an alien in Central City, but what really puzzled Axel was why this alien had come after him.

He was just a rookie criminal who had barely even started out. Was it really a good idea for him to be encountering extraterrestrial beings of this magnitude right off the bat?

"Why am I attacking you? Didn't you hear what I said earlier? You wrecked my transportation and now you need to pay up!" replied Yuri, getting angry.

He had worked hard to transport his goods and had not made any high profit. He could even overlook the broken glass, but then his vehicle had been damaged on the way home!

Regardless of whether Axel had intentionally caused this or not, Yuri knew that there was a price to pay for the economic loss he had suffered. "You caused me financial damage, so you need to compensate me!"
