DC:The Darkest Knight

Chapter 18: Wonder woman

{Sir, one of the drones monitoring Wonder Woman spotted Cheetah entering her studio.}

Eden informed me while I monitored Selina's vitals after giving her the cat serum and waiting for her to regain consciousness.

Finally, Wonder Woman was fighting against one of her villains. Hopefully, she'll use her divine powers so that I can analyze it and make preparations for it.

"Inform me when Selina is close to waking Eden." I made my way towards the Batmobile.

{As you wish, sir}

Once inside, I pressed the Bat symbol on the screen, and the Batmobile changed into the Batwing.

[3RD POV]

Hovering above Wonder Woman's two-story clothing design studio, Batman opened the pad and jumped down in Batsuit stealth mode. Inside, he spotted Wonder Woman dressed in a gown, wielding a sword and shield, battling Cheetah, a red-haired woman covered in cheetah fur.

[Wonder Woman]

Entering the second floor, he sat on an empty chair and watched the catfight between the two women.

'Eden, isolate the surrounding area and deploy an EMP. I don't want cops to interfere,' Batman instructed.

Cheetah slashed toward Wonder Woman with her claws, but Wonder Woman skillfully dodged, causing Cheetah to slash the wall behind her into pieces.

[Cheetah]

Seizing the moment Cheetah lost her footing, Wonder Woman delivered a powerful punch, sending Cheetah crashing into a glass shelf filled with high heels.

As Cheetah stood up, she pulled a shard of glass from her back, blood spilling onto the floor.

"That is enough, Barbara. I don't want to hurt you," raising her shield, Wonder Woman warned Cheetah.

"I will never stop until I destroy you!" Cheetah roared, dropping to all fours and launching herself at Wonder Woman in a blur.

Wonder Woman braced herself for the impact and was pushed back as Cheetah slammed against her shield, just as she swung her swords towards her. Cheetah held onto Wonder Woman's shield and leaped behind her. Then she dug her claws into Wonder Woman's shoulder and bit her neck.

"Argh!" Wonder Woman let out a pained scream and let go of her sword as she grabbed Cheetah by the hair and slammed her against the ground with enough force to break it, and Cheetah fell to the first floor.

Noticing that the fight was moving downstairs rather quickly, Batman stood up from his spot and calmly walked down the stairs, using them like a civilized person.

The first floor looked like a cozy home with a kitchen, TV, couch, bed, etc. Unlike the second floor filled with cloth design tools.

Wonder Woman raised her shield and jumped from the second floor to knock Cheetah out with a well-aimed blow to the head, but Cheetah simply rolled off and got up.

With Cheetah out of the way, Wonder Woman slammed her shield on the floor where Cheetah was lying, destroying the floor beneath her. As she stood up, she looked at Cheetah, who also looked at her.

They locked eyes for a moment before they charged at each other. Wonder Woman dodged Cheetah's attack and kicked her in the stomach, making Cheetah gasp and bend over. Then Wonder Woman followed up with a knee to her face, sending Cheetah crashing into the TV stand.

Without giving her a chance, Wonder Woman charged at Cheetah again. But Cheetah, already recovered from the blow, threw the broken TV stand towards Wonder Woman as she rushed towards her, using the TV stand as a cover to hide herself.

They fought for some time, destroying everything in the house in the process. Wonder Woman, who had left her sword on the second floor, used every piece of furniture as a weapon, while Cheetah slashed at it with her claws.

In the heat of battle, Wonder Woman kicked Cheetah in the chest, sending her crashing into the wall and breaking it. Cheetah flew out of the house.

Wonder Woman grabbed her Lasso of Truth from behind the kitchen counter before chasing after Cheetah. As she burst out of the house, she smashed through the wall with her shield, with Batman walking closely behind.

Outside, Wonder Woman and Cheetah faced each other, both prepared to strike.

*Crash*

Before they heard the sound of something breaking, Wonder Woman and Cheetah turned their heads and saw a teenager standing across the street with an open mouth and a broken plate beneath him.

With a smirk, Cheetah jumped toward the boy.

"NO!" Diana shouted, rushing to save him. But she was slower than Cheetah.

"Take another step, and I'll paint the roads with his blood," Cheetah warned as she looked at Wonder Woman provocatively.

"SAVE ME, PLEASE. I'M BEGGING YOU, SAVE ME!" The teenager cried, tears streaming down his face as he fought against Cheetah's grip.

"Shut up, you noisy nerd," Cheetah hissed, tightening her hold on his throat as he gasped for air.

"Barbara, he's just a child. Let him go and face me like a true warrior," Wonder Woman said, releasing her shield and reaching for her sword, which was hovering in the air beside her. It wasn't magic or anything; Batman was holding the sword and handing it to Wonder Woman. But with the chaotic situation, no one cared.

Cheetah remained silent, digging her claws into the boy's neck just enough to draw blood, grinning at Wonder Woman.

Deciding it was time to intervene, Batman, who was watching the fight between two women, or more like a woman and a furry, with interest, began to walk towards Cheetah and positioned himself behind her.

"Have some honor, Barbara. Let the child go," Wonder Woman said as she began to spin her lasso.

Cheetah grinned widely, revealing her sharp fangs. Just as she was about to rip the teenager's throat apart, Batman seized her wrist with one hand, breaking it as he switched from his stealth suit to his batsuit. With his other hand, he grabbed the back of her neck and lifted her off the ground.

"ARGH!" Cheetah yelled in agony, trying to kick and slash at Batman with her free hand, desperate to escape.

Batman injected two syringes into Cheetah's neck from his palm. One syringe held anesthesia, while the other was for drawing her blood.

Unintentionally, his eyes drifted to Cheetah's backside.

'Dayum, that's a tight ass... would'

He thought before shaking his horny thoughts and looking at the terrified teenager, who stood frozen in fear beside him.

"Oi, run," Batman said as the teenager bolted away as if his life depended on it.

Wonder Woman looked at the human machine in front of her as she continued to spin her lasso while holding her sword. In response, Batman just dropped Cheetah. Upon seeing that it wasn't an enemy, Wonder Woman stopped spinning her lasso and lowered her sword, but not fully; she remained vigilant.

"I could have handled her myself, but you have my thanks, machine. Without you, that innocent child could have been hurt," Wonder Woman said as she pulled Cheetah to her side with her lasso, then tied her up after checking if she was alive. Afterwards, she slowly walked towards Batman.

"You could have avoided all of this, you know," Batman said as he opened his arms to show the damage done to the surroundings.

"And how would you suggest I do that, machine?" Wonder Woman asked, narrowing her eyes, clearly offended by his words.

"You could have just wrapped her with your lasso at the beginning of the fight," Batman said as he pointed to Cheetah, "like this, you could have flown her to a remote area, probably desert-like places, to prevent her from taking advantage of the terrain, like a forest, where her natural habitat is."

Wonder Woman paused to look at Batman, realizing his words made perfect sense. Without a word, she turned and walked toward Cheetah, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks.

She grabbed Cheetah's hand, preparing to lift her over her shoulder. But just as she did, she released her grip, letting Cheetah tumble to the ground. Wonder Woman then faced Batman.

"You mentioned my lasso, which means you know what it is. But I never told you, Who are you?" She asked, gripping her lasso and raising her swords, ready for battle.

"It is customary to introduce yourself before asking someone else's name, don't you think, Diana?" Batman replied, stepping closer to her.

Hearing her name, Wonder Woman looked at Batman for a moment. "Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Hippolyta," Wonder Woman introduced herself as Batman came right in front of her, his guard down, once again showing that he wasn't an enemy.

"Batman, beloved of death, the Dark Knight of Gotham, and a human, not a machine. This is merely my armor," he introduced himself, extending his hand for a handshake to distract her while some nanobots from his cape transformed into bugs and moved toward her blood on the ground.

While shaking Batman's hand, Wonder Woman used her strength to assert dominance and test her strength against Batman.

She was surprised to find that he couldn't bend the armor at all. Taking it as a challenge, she used more of her strength until she realized she couldn't do anything, even after using all her power.

"Such fine craftsmanship, it's truly impressive armor. Which god crafted it?" Wonder Woman asked, running her fingers over the armor, believing only a god could create something so fine.

"I was the one who built this armor, not a god but a man," Batman replied, letting her examine the suit.

"You, a human, built this armor?" Wonder Woman said, genuinely surprised as she continued to feel the suit. "It seems like you have been favored by Hephaestus himself." Her excitement grew with each touch, and she looked at Batman with fierce determination.

{Sir, Miss Selina will wake up soon.}

Hearing that Selina was about to wake up, Batman glanced at Wonder Woman. Noticing the fire in her eyes, he thought of a way to earn some brownie points with her and have more contact with her.

"I have other things to do, but I will let you punch me one time," Batman said. As soon as he finished, Wonder Woman delivered a punch to his abdomen.

*BOOOM*

Her strike created a shockwave, sending dust around them flying. Seeing Batman's armor remain intact, Wonder Woman's eyes sparkled with excitement, and she lifted her leg to kick. But Batman caught her leg, pulled her closer, and held her wrist firmly.

"Don't get too carried away, princess. I said just one punch," Batman said as Wonder Woman put her hands on his chest and tried to push herself out of his grasp but was surprised when she found she couldn't even move away from him a single inch. Then she pressed her feet against Batman's stomach, using all her strength to break free from his hold.

"We can have our date another time, Diana; I'll come to you soon," Batman whispered as he leaned closer to Wonder Woman and loosened his hold.

"Great Hera, give me strength!" With a fierce shout, Wonder Woman broke free. She performed a backflip, giving Batman the chance to change into his stealth suit and fly back to the Batwing.

Landing on her feet, Wonder Woman found that Batman had disappeared. She began to look around to spot him. After some time without success, she simply lifted Cheetah up and flew into the air.
