Demon King Who Will Rule the Infinite Worlds

Chapter 40: Chapter 40

"It makes no sense," Tsunade covered her eyes, rubbing her forehead, sitting in the lab where she had to learn most of the machines and their use. They were far more advanced than what she had ever worked with. Yet, she was unable to understand the slightest bit of this blood, "these creatures..."

'They are Godly,' but that wasn't what bothered her, "These Newborn Demons..."

A little light poured in the room when the door to the lab opened. A red-haired woman walked in, her eyes blue, there was a patch on the left one and her left arm was mechanical in nature.

She wore a lab coat over her shoulders, both sleeves empty over a purple, blue and black two-pieces consisting a cropped vest with straps that cross over her chest, and a thigh-length miniskirt with a separate purple section that wrapped loosely round her thighs diagonally, held to the front of the skirt by criss-crossed blue straps.

"Ready to give up yet?"

"Shalua," Tsunade narrowed her eyes, staring at the woman who was a scientist and engineer for these people. The technology and research capabilities they held were otherworldly in every sense of the world.

"I told you. Jenova can be studied, but Demons are a different story all together," Shalua stopped near her, smirking, "You are lacking."

Tsunade sighed, giving up, "explain to me why? Even Demons that are weaker than this creature Jenova. Why can't I study them?"

"I have a theory," Shalua tilted her head, "I have studied them for years, and the only thing I could come up with is this. Demons do not exist."

Tsunade parted her lips, speechless, "I am pretty sure I slept with their King. It was..." she slightly blushed, which was unlike her, "unforgettable."

"I know they exist, but what I mean is, they are a shadow, or rather a mirage of their true self," Shalua raised her hand to the side, gesturing, explaining, "Phases seal their True Self. Phase 1 Unseals their Body. Phase 2 Unseals their Heart/Will/Mind. I can't be sure. Phase 3 Unseals their Soul, that I can be sure of. Phase 4 unleashes their True Self."

"Phase 1 only Unseals their Body," Tsunade tapped on the table, "Makes sense. That's exactly why I can't find anything about Phase 2 no matter how much I study it. It doesn't exist. No, if it doesn't exist, then how can Phase 2 leak in Phase 1 which is Cloud's situation? He shouldn't be dealing with Fate."

"Wrong question. It is possible in his case because he is a Human, who became a Demon and is forming a Path to become a True Demon and a powerful one at that. For that very purpose, His Fate is forging the Demon he would be. Then the question would be. What is it about Cloud Strife that makes Fate act? And are there others who it would act for? Then why? For what purpose?"

"The other, bigger question that I find myself asking. How did a Pure Demon, King Aurum, managed to achieve the same thing? How did he without power defy the Laws of Nature?"

"There is another," Tsunade watched the woman with narrowed eyes, "Jenova carries a Will of its own. The Demons, while born from different humans carry the Existence of Demon King. If the two grow and battle. Will Cloud survive?"

"Caught on that, did you?" Shalua leaned against the table, her back towards Tsunade, "that boy, if he keeps creating Demons. He'll be nothing more than a puppet that carries King's will. If he doesn't..."

"A Monster," Tsunade closed her eyes. She abruptly rose on her feet, passing by Shalua without saying anything else.

"You want to save him? You who couldn't care less about anything until a week ago? Just because he is good in bed?" she smirked.

"No..." Tsunade stopped. She didn't know why, but the scene of Arthur's familiar looking grin flashed in her mind, "I just do."

"That's a pretty strong emotion you are feeling? What is it? Does Prince Arthur remind you of someone? You want to save Cloud just to protect Prince's smile?"

"Stay out of me," Tsunade's chakra crashed into her.

Shalua shrugged, taking back her aura, ignoring Tsunade's glare, "If your emotions are strong enough. I might have a way."

"What way?"

"Jenova Cells," Shalua looked like she was almost egging Tsunade, "do you dare infect yourself?"

.

.

.

"Lucresia?"

Cloud repeated that familiar sounding name. They were on the beach where he was working on expanding land. There was a table beside them that Eve was using to draw on the chart. An architectural design of the village.

"Who is that," Eve asked Shalua and Tsunade.

Shalua answered her, "She was the woman at the centre of Jenova's research. Also..." she took a pause, "Sephiroth's birth mother."

"Sephiroth's?" Cloud furrowed his brow, realising why it sounded familiar, she was in his memory.

"Why would Jenova cells have her memory?" Eve remained confused.

"In her research, she implanted Jenova Cells in her child while he was in the embryonic stage. They ended up mixing with her own body, in a much tamer form. If Cloud's Jenova Cell truly carry memories, then they must have Lucrecia's memories. Use the Demons to take out that portion of her memories and grant that to Tsunade here."

"They did what?" Eve gasped in horror. She couldn't help but imagine how cruel and inhumane that was. To implant cells of an unknown alien in a baby. She couldn't believe it. Ever since she started wanting a child with His Majesty, all she could think of what would be best of the child that hadn't even been conceived, 'how could...'

"Jenova Cells are not child's play. They are too dangerous."

"For you," Tsunade breathed out, she had thought about it, "From what I understand. You are suffering not with just a cell or two of Jenova. Instead, you are suffering from the Fate of becoming the creature itself. In other's cases, it would be scientifically possible to suppress. Otherwise, someone like Lucrecia, a scientist wouldn't have remained alive even from the secondary contact. On top of that, my Life-Force is easily 4 to 5 times of normal humans because I am from the Senju Clan, along with years of training. I should count as one of your SOLDIERs. I can handle it."

"Lucrecia wasn't a SOLDIER, she wasn't a Cetra. We need to understand how she survived and how the Jenova cells affected her," Shalua commented, "This is to understand Jenova. Until now I hadn't met the candidate who had strong enough will, years of experience, training, medical knowledge, and inborn physical to be able to resist Jenova Cells and make best use of Lucrecia's memories or I would have asked for this before."

Cloud looked reluctant, but Eve was supportive of the idea, "I think you should do it."

"Eve, but..."

"Don't worry. If something goes wrong I'll ask His Majesty for help. They are right about one thing. Jenova is a problem, but your problem is the Fate you carry which is pushing to turn you into Jenova. Not in her case," Eve stroked his back, "she's an expert. She wouldn't be going along with this if she wasn't, and isn't sure."

"She's exactly right. I am not one of these people who saved and brought here. I know what I am doing," Tsunade scoffed, "I am telling you to do something that will help you in the long run, and I know what I am doing. I am the only one who can safely do it."

"Fine," he scratched his head, "Why do you want to though?"

"Nothing to do with you," Tsuande shrugged.

Cloud looked towards Eve, who was lost in thought.

"Oh, it's not a bad idea. Trying to revive her loved ones as Demonic Spirits and reviving their bodies as zombies. Though she is lacking the last step to turn them into complete humans," Eve muttered, "To her, Jenova Cells might have the answer."

"Heh, is that your plan?" Shalua raised her eyebrows, impressed, "A creature that lived despite being torn and sealed by the world. Certainly, it might have the answer."

"How did you..." Tsunade looked shocked, glaring at Eve, who looked back with her big ruby eyes, mouthing, 'sorry.'

"Tifa and I are muscles," Cloud informed her, "Aerith reads the world. Eve reads people."

"Stay out of my head," Tsunade sighed with an uncomfortable look, "Are you going to give me or not?"

"Fine, be careful."

That Night,

Cloud was sitting outside the house, a newly built one for four bedrooms and a living room. He was sitting in the front yard. The night was dark. There was a small lamp on the side of the door, giving off a soft orange glow.

The similar orange glow and yellow lights came from the houses that filled the plain, "We should add trees," he muttered to himself, looking at the plain, "it feels empty. Unprotected."

"Ugh, Cloud, do you always have to think about work," Aerith puffed her cheeks, ruffling his hair, sitting around the campfire near them with Tifa and Eve. The four of them were spending time after dinner and the day's hard work.

"It was just a thought," Cloud slapped her hand away. He looked at the sky, "It's a nice view though."

"Yeah," Aerith looked up at the star-filled night, "It is."

Tifa smiled, resting her head on Eve's shoulder. She looked towards the sky too, the stars sparling brightly, the clouds moving in a slow, peaceful pace, the moon shining brightly in its full form. She could feel the warmth and the cool wind at once, "It is a beautiful night."

Cloud looked towards Eve, seeing the lost expression on her face, "What happened to you, Eve?"

"Oh I..."

The four of them were interrupted by the woman with dark purple hair, "My Lady, Your Highness," she bowed down on the ground, her hands pressed together. She wore a black and red dress, her cleavage exposed, the dress had a slit to reveal her legs and thighs.

"You are..." he didn't recognise her but Cloud did recognise the pink-haired girl standing beside her, blushing, 'Saya Takagi?'

"I am Yuriko Takagi, Your Highness. Saya's mother," Yuriko stroked Saya's head.

"I know her. She helped me when I started investing in the stock markets," Eve pointed at the chairs by the house, "No need to be formal. Saya, get the chairs."

Saya nodded, "Yes, My Lady," she ran to bring two chairs for the two to sit. Yuriko followed her, sitting in front of them.

"Thank you for your kindness, Lady Eve," Yuriko smiled.

"I have been too busy to visit. Are you adjusting?" Eve gently asked. When they were on the Phase 0 Earth, she did help a lot.

"Very much. It's a fascinating world. We are still working on forming chakra. Saya has succeeded though," Yuriko looked towards her daughter, who blushed, with a slight bit of pride on her face.

"As expected of Saya, well done," Eve stroked Saya's head, since she was near her, "You are here for her?"

"Yes, My Lady. Saya is smart, and a hard worker. I heard that Avalanche would have to leave to make trip back to the Kingdom and bring back the materials that the Nobles ordered or rest for trade. In that case, Lady Shalua will have to leave. It's my hope that Saya is taught or trained by Lady Shalua."

"Being smart is not enough. We can start an advanced school for those who want to," Cloud rummaged through his memory, taking Angeal's approach to the situation. Genesis was too radical to shove all the aura possible in Saya and see what she could make sense her desire was getting stronger. A desire for success.

"I'll work hard too!" Saya eagerly looked at Cloud, gripping her hand over her skirt. She wanted this. She needed this.

"In a world that is out of control...to a world that is a big unknown..." Eve muttered.

Though her whisper caused Saya to freeze up and look at her, "I'll...I'll try harder than anyone else," she clenched her fist. Her eyes were determined and strong, "I'll work hard! I won't disappoint you. Please!"

"Mm," Eve stroked her cheek, "I believe you. I'll talk to Shalua and Tsunade for you. See if anyone of them has the time."

Saya brightened from that promise, "thank you so much!"

Eve kissed her cheek, "Go. I still have something to talk to your mother."

Saya blushed, nodding, "thank you, My Lady," she marched off, leaving a smiling Eve and Yuriko.

"What was that?" Cloud rested his forearms on his knees, staring at the campfire. He heard Eve's whispers from across her.

"Yeah, yeah, you are getting better at using aura to read people," Aerith teased her.

"It wasn't aura," Eve raised her palms, collecting blue chakra between them, "it's chakra. It connects me to people so easily. To elements. It is a fascinating type of aura..."

"In fact," a grey orb appeared above her palm, a swirling grey with the dark crack at the centre, "Fire," she spoke and it appeared, circling beside the grey orb.

"Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning," the four watched her create the four elements, "the power I have been trying to use in the their world. The Creation Aura. I have been able to bring it to life in some capacity," Eve let it go and fire disappeared, rock and water fell while Wind and Lightning dissipated, tucking her hair behind her ear, smiling, "Chakra suits me very well."

"Huh," Tifa was surprised, "You are amazing, Eve. That was just out the world!"

"So good," Aerith whispered, "Chakra can connect, even make elements. Maybe I can," she abruptly stood up, "I have an idea guys. Don't leave. I have to go get a few things," she happily rushed off, getting an idea.

"Did you create these elements?" Cloud stared at the water and rock on the ground.

"I did. Ninja's can morph the existing element and complete it by creating some amount on it by using chakra," Eve picked up the rock, "from what I have been able to tell, the chakra connects to the element of their choosing and its molecular composition changes to match that of the element. It stays like that until there is chakra, which slowly disappears. It's a guess, if the chakra is strong enough, it might be able to maintain the shape for years and years."

"Then can we?" Tifa whispered.

"I was thinking the same thing," Cloud nodded, "if we train Earth Chakra User, we can use them to make the land. It should reduce the DP cost."

"Instead, you can focus on using DP to make the land fertile. I wanted to experiment before telling you. Now that you know..."

"We can try it tomorrow," Cloud breathed out. He felt better. Things were coming together without him needing to do much. With all their help, 'I can do this.'

"My Lady," Yuriko spoke again, "You want to talk about something?"

"Yes, about that. I wanted to try something," Eve stood up, "Tifa, Cloud, help me."

"Uh," Tifa nibbled her lip, looking towards Cloud, who kept staring at the fire. He felt nervous, thinking about what she wanted them to do. He finally gave a nod. He stood up when he noticed the boy his age with dark blonde hair, green eyes standing near them, embarrassed beyond belief, "What are you doing here?"

Tifa and Eve followed Cloud's gaze, noticing the same person, their voice raised in unison, "Arthur?!"
