DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 417: Chapter 417: The Objective of the Epic Titan

"Oh, by the way, there's something I need to tell you in advance." The golden dragon mother approached Muria, "In some time, your father will come with a few Titans. Make sure you're prepared and try to control all your soul rings before he sees you."

"My father is coming too?" Muria's face showed a hint of astonishment, this was completely unexpected news. "And he's bringing other Titans? What's the plan? Is it because of the demons?"

"Our world is currently absorbing part of the Abyss, which sounds great, but the will of the Abyss is not to be trifled with. To assimilate these layers of the Abyss, one must endure its backlash.

"You should know the current situation in the Nokia Europe continent as the Duke governing the Kingdom of Rockman. This is the backlash from the Abyss. As time progresses, stronger demons will appear. In a few years, or perhaps a decade,

"When our world reaches the final stage of absorbing the Abyss, legendary demons will descend. At that point, because the laws of the Abyss and our world will intertwine, the descending demons won't be suppressed and will be able to exert their full strength. That will be the most brutal phase of the demonic tides.

"Right now, it's just minor skirmishes, nothing really. Ansaul and the others are coming specifically for those numerous demon lords that are about to descend.

"Of course, fighting is only a secondary objective for your father and his companions. The primary goal is to scout for a certain Epic Titan in your clan to identify competitors and the right moment to act."

"An Epic Titan is getting involved?" Even after years in high positions, Muria couldn't maintain his composure at such shocking news; an Epic Titan was preparing to take action.

"Yes, you know, your mother is really pitiful!" The golden dragon mother, looking like a young girl in her twenties, showed a look of grievance. "Your father hasn't even departed, and I had to set out ahead to pave the way for him."

"What in the Abyss is worthy of an Epic Titan's intervention?" Muria ignored his mother's theatrical display, which switched expressions in an instant, and asked directly.

"Don't you know?" Upon hearing Muria's question, the golden dragon mother immediately showed a shocked expression.

"Lord Bast, do you know?" Muria turned emotionlessly to the ancient golden dragon Bast who stood beside them, looking somewhat embarrassed and very shocked. He had just heard some explosive news and was struggling to process it all.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness, I'm afraid I'm uninformed." Bast, the ancient golden dragon, shook his head straightforwardly. Even the cause of the demonic tides was something he had deduced from a hypothesis he had read after easily entering the Abyss.

Asking him about what would bring an Epic Titan, on par with a Dragon King, to the Nokia Europe continent was a bit too much for him, truly stretching his capabilities.

"The ancient golden dragon doesn't know either, and you never shared this knowledge with me," Muria turned to his mother, implying it was normal for him not to know, so now was the time for the golden dragon mother to explain and satisfy his curiosity.

"That won't do, little Muria," the golden dragon mother tilted her head, looking genuinely like a pure and pretty young girl, "I've collected many books about space, and I've opened my library to you. You really should know."

"With so many books, how could I possibly finish them?" Muria countered.

"You're still too young," the golden dragon mother, who appeared only a few years older than Muria, sighed. "Well, I'll tell you. After Erathia absorbs the Abyss, part of it will merge into the subcontinent, so after this event, the area of Nokia Europe continent is sure to expand.

"But that's just part of it. The vast majority of the Abyssal planes will shatter, forming semi-planes that attach to the main plane, and these will be naturally ownerless and numerous."

"How numerous?"

"The total area of these formed semi-planes will not be less than half of the total area of the Nokia Europe continent."

"That big? No wonder the Epic is taking action." Muria touched his chest; he was also tempted. Ownerless semi-planes, these strategic resources that are once in a lifetime opportunities, no one would think them too many.

"So, you came here for these soon-to-be-formed semi-planes?" Muria suddenly asked.

"Cough, my main reason for coming is to combat evil, fight demons, and such. The semi-planes, well, if I happen to scoop up a dozen or so, I'll be satisfied," the golden dragon mother coughed dryly, explaining without changing her expression.

"A dozen semi-planes?" Muria's mouth twitched, "Are there so many semi-planes forming

from the shattered Abyss? You actually expect to get a dozen? Besides the Titans, surely other beings are eyeing these semi-planes too."

"Many powers will make a move, but I'll be leading a group of Titans; I'd like to see who dares to compete with me," the golden dragon mother said with a smug look.

"Mother, please make sure to take me with you when the time comes." Muria set aside his reservations about the golden dragon mother and directly requested. In Muria's view, asking his parents for help was not a matter of losing face at all.

"No, what could you do there but get in the way? That's a battlefield for high-level legends and Epic beings; you're not even qualified to be cannon fodder."

The golden dragon mother, Atris, bluntly refused Muria's request, dismissing the involvement of a child who hadn't even broken through to legendary status in the affairs of adults.

"Mother, then could you share some of the extra semi-planes with me?" Muria tentatively asked.

"You're already the ruling Duke of the Kingdom of Rockman. I heard that all twelve semi-planes controlled by the Skalet family are in your hands. You're actually asking me, your penniless mother, for more semi-planes. Aren't you ashamed?"

"I'm just managing them; they're not mine," Muria shook his head, "Once Remilia comes of age, I'll return control of these semi-planes to her."

"I've heard the only heir of the Skalet family is Princess Remilia, who's only in her teens. If you wanted, those semi-planes could be yours right now. Why are you asking me for more?"

"What's mine is mine, no one can take it away; what's not mine, I don't want even if it's handed to me," Muria said earnestly, "I have my principles, and I won't breach them while I'm alive."

"Tsk, not bad, finally showing some semblance of a golden dragon. Dragons are greedy, it's their nature, but it's crucial to know what should and shouldn't be coveted."
