Chapter 431: Chapter 431: The Bandit's Way
"You've planned this all along?" Muria couldn't help but ask as he watched the Golden Dragon Mother deploy the Atlis Great Relocation Technique again, moving an entire Dwarven Elf city along with its land into her demi-plane.
"Of course." The Golden Dragon Mother looked satisfied as she watched the huge circular pit left by the city's relocation—a moment of bliss for any dragon.
"What do you plan to do with the Dwarven Elves from those cities?" Muria asked. He had noticed that when the Golden Dragon Mother moved the cities, she didn't let a single elf escape; all were immobilized.
The Atlis Great Relocation Technique was a legendary spell with multiple casting effects. Muria recognized many spells within it, such as earthquake, mass hold, repulsion, and levitation.
The Golden Dragon Mother was a spellcasting genius. All the spells she used were her own creations, tailored to her needs. Muria had never seen her use conventional spells.
The effects of her legendary spells were so exaggerated that Muria felt somewhat embarrassed; he could only construct the models of those conventional spells in his mind and manage to cast them, but he hadn't fully mastered them yet.
"The original Dwarven Elves were forest elves living on the surface, who fell into corruption and transformed into their current dark, ugly forms. I want to try and purify the dark energy within them, turning them back into the noble forest elves of the surface. I don't like their current appearance or their revolting habits."
"Purifying the Dwarven Elves, reversing their bloodline." Muria stroked his chin. "That would be a project that could drive the Spider Queen Rose mad. If you actually succeed, she would absolutely despise you."
The Spider Queen Rose's faith primarily came from the Dwarven Elves, with the abyssal spiders from the 66th layer of the Abyss being a secondary source. Losing the Dwarven Elves' faith would certainly demote her from a mid-tier to a lesser deity, and if unlucky, even to a minor deity.
Without strong power and having offended a multitude of good and evil deities without any powerful backing, the Spider Queen Rose could very likely be killed by other evil deities.
"So what? Let her hold a grudge if she wants, who's afraid of her? It's just a chaotic big spider," the Golden Dragon Mother scoffed dismissively, unbothered by the isolated evil deity.
"True, just a solitary evil deity." After some thought, Muria agreed. If the Spider Queen Rose really took action against the Golden Dragon Mother, the unified metallic dragons and even the epic titans would intervene, inevitably leading to her downfall. The Spider Queen Rose was clearly outmatched by the Golden Dragon Mother.
"I can't fit anymore! My demi-plane is too small!" After relocating the nineteenth elf city into her demi-plane, the Golden Dragon Mother frowned slightly, feeling a mix of regret and dissatisfaction.
Muria, who had been witnessing the Golden Dragon Mother's bandit-like behavior all along, twitched at her words. Although the Dwarven Elf cities of the shadowy realm were small due to geographical constraints—some cities only housed a few tens of thousands of elves, giving off a quaint vibe—the Golden Dragon Mother had already scouted out which cities in the Kingdom of Medis were well-built and had noted them in her little notebook.
The nineteen cities she had moved were the essence of the Kingdom of Medis, and losing any of them would infuriate Queen Dillira to the point of spitting blood.
Because each city housed more than two hundred thousand Dwarven Elves, the Golden Dragon Mother had now abducted over four million Dwarven Elves into her demi-plane.
"Ah, I regret not harvesting more leaves from the World Tree to expand my demi-plane." The Golden Dragon Mother sighed slightly with regret. "After I return this time, I should visit the Eternal Isle of the Elves. It's been decades since I last plucked leaves from the World Tree; those long-eared elves probably aren't on guard against me anymore!"
"World Tree leaves!" Muria's expression turned strange, knowing that these were among the few treasures in the world of Erathia that could directly expand a demi-plane.
He had been wondering why the Golden Dragon Mother's demi-plane was so vast, capable of accommodating four million Dwarven Elves—comparable to the divine realm of a minor deity.
It turned out she had incorporated World Tree leaves, but from the Golden Dragon Mother's whispers, it seemed she hadn't acquired them through legitimate means.
One could guess that the World Tree on the Eternal Isle, still a sapling, was guarded by elves who would not easily pluck its leaves to give away.
And given the extensive area of the Golden Dragon Mother's demi-plane, she likely didn't just use one or two leaves but perhaps stripped several from the tree trunks.
"Muria
, my demi-plane can't fit any more, so I'll have to cheapen you," the Golden Dragon Mother said after a moment of contemplation, her tone slightly resentful.
"…" Muria remained silent, realizing the Golden Dragon Mother clearly favored females over males. If he had a sister, he might understand what it felt like to be raised by a stepmother.
"It won't fit." As the Golden Dragon Mother lifted the twentieth elf city with the Great Relocation Technique, Muria tried and found he couldn't expand the entrance of his demi-plane enough to accommodate it, expressing his frustration.
"All this time and you still haven't fully mastered the demi-plane? Are you really my son? How can you be so slow?"
"This isn't a demi-plane I created; being able to control it at all is quite an achievement. Most beings don't even get the chance to control one directly," Muria argued. A demi-plane was something only legendary spellcasters could create and control, and many legends couldn't directly manage one.
"Comparing yourself to ordinary creatures, are you proud?" The Golden Dragon Mother, while pinching Indira's cheeks, looked disdainfully at Muria. Then, with a sigh of vexation, she said, "Looks like I have to intervene again."
As Muria watched in amazement, the Golden Dragon Mother raised her staff, and a seemingly endless stream of runes swirled around the immense elf city, forming a spherical sealing array. The runes glittered, and before Muria's incredulous eyes, the city, as beautiful as a piece of art, slowly shrank and fell into the struggling entrance of his demi-plane.
