Yan Shaozhe and the others calmly observed the stunned students, and they completely understand their reactions. Heck, some of the elders even openly objected for such a decision.

After all, for thousands of years—since the founding of Shrek Academy itself, there had only been one group title given to certain individuals that makes them the most elite of their generation.

Shrek Seven Monsters—named after the original seven prodigious people ten thousand years ago that brought peace and balance throughout the entire Douluo Continent. They broke numerous records as they became some of the youngest and powerful Titled Douluos in history!

Not many know what happened to them afterward, but the ancient families, sects, royal families, and especially Shrek Academy knew what happened to the first Shrek Seven Monsters—they ascended to Godhood!

After they left the mortal realm, Shrek Academy decided to honor their memory and preserve their legacy by passing down the title of Shrek Seven Monsters to the seven most outstanding students of each new young generation in the academy—which continued on for ten thousand years!

It was a title that any youth would dream of achieving.

Yet, right now, Shrek Academy was about to toss aside such long-standing and highly important tradition!

Huo Yuhao and the rest were all stunned speechless, no one knew what to do at this moment except staring at their elders.

Yan Shaozhe then spoke, snapping them back to reality. "I understand your surprise and and confusion."

He then turned his head, gazing out the window. "For ten thousand years, the title of Shrek Seven Monsters has represented the pinnacle of talent, unity, and brilliance within the academy. But today, we stand at a crossroads."

Yan Shaozhe continued, his gaze sweeping over the students. "The title of Shrek Seven Monsters is one of unparalleled honor, but it is not without its limits. It reflects the strengths of seven individuals, no more and no less. However, your generation has proven something extraordinary—change."

"Times are changing as technology advances, as the boundaries of power and innovation shift. The world we live in now is not the same as it was ten thousand years ago, and the challenges we face are no longer bound by the traditions of the past. While the title of Shrek Seven Monsters has served us well, it no longer fully encapsulates the reality of our academy or the talents we nurture."

He stepped closer to the group, his piercing gaze locking onto each of them. "Your generation represents more than just strength. You embody innovation, adaptability, and the ability to transcend what is expected. This isn't merely about honoring your talents—it's about preparing Shrek Academy for the future."

'Something that Tang Sect should've done,' Tang Ya thought, clenching her fists.

Xian Lin'er then added, "Soul tools, advancements in cultivation techniques, the resurgence of ancient powers—these are the tides of change sweeping through our world. And Shrek Academy must remain at the forefront of that evolution."

Yan Shaozhe and the elders nodded, and he said, "The legacy of the Seven Monsters has carried us for millennia, but it is time for a new legacy to rise. One that can stand unshaken in the face of the new era."

He then raises his hand and said, with a serious expression. "But I must clarify one thing first. To ensure the smooth progression of your studies in the academy, this will not be publicized, but it will be recorded in our records. Before all of you graduate, only the people in this room will be privy to this. Please don't make it public."

Huo Yuhao and the others nodded. They could understand this restriction. If news of this spread, they would be put into the limelight. This would then affect their normal cultivation and studies.

As their "senior brother", Bei Bei could not help but ask, "Dean Yan, does lifetime refer to the time we spend in the academy or...?"

Yan Shaozhe smiled and replied, "What? Is it so difficult to understand? "For life"—I mean that literally. This title will not be given to anyone else as long as one of you is still alive. That's why all of you need to work hard at your cultivation and try to live longer. This glory will then stay with all of you for a longer period of time."

Out of curiosity, Huo Yuhao raised his hand and asked. "Uh, what if we reach rank 99 or ascended to Godhood? We would live either long lives or for eternity."

Yan Shaozhe, the deans, elders, Xuan Zi, Wang Yan, and even his friends were dumbfounded by what he said.

"Hohohoho! Quite an ambitious goal you have," The brief silence was broken by a raspy chuckle of an elderly voice that seemed to resonate throughout the Sea God Pavilion.

All heads turned towards the head of the table, whose upper body was hidden completely by the shade—which was strange since the entire room was bright, yet his upper body was the only area that was enveloped by some shade, which made it pretty clear this his own doing in order to hide his identity from the students.

"Rank 99 or ascension to Godhood, you say? It's not every day you hear a young soul master speak such high dream so boldly. But considering that it's you who said it, I shouldn't be surprised."

The Sea God Pavilion Master went silent for a moment.

"Well, we'll just do what our ancestors did—we'll pass on your legacy down to new generations." He said, chuckling. "And thus a new cycle begins."

"But, back to the matter at hand."

"Kids, your performances were beyond what I expected. But it's important to realize that this doesn't mean you will be forever successful. All of you must live up to the name of Shrek's Ten Heavenly Demons."

He waved his hand, and a flash of bright light appeared that momentarily blinded the students except Huo Yuhao.

He clearly saw as a beam of light appeared before him and settled on the shirt of his left chest area—revealing a golden medal with the appearance of Shrek's green monster logo with two pairs of wings around it; one was feathered while the other was bat-like.

He messed around with them briefly and he found out that it increases the user's absorption speed by at leat 10%! It was incredible.

After the others recovered and analyzed the medal, the Sea God Pavilion Master then spoke.

"I hope that all of you can work hard to preserve Shrek's glory just like you did before. The medals on you is a separate reward from the tournament —it's a reward for becoming the very first Ten Heavenly Demons."

"Now then—Bei Bei, Xu Sanshi, Tang Ya, Jiang Nannan, He Caitou and Huo Yuhao, the six of you are already soul ancestors. I grant special permission to the six of you to go take the inner courtyard test after a couple of months. After passing the test, the six of you shall continue to learn in the inner courtyard."

Huo Yuhao, Bei Bei and the other 3 looked at one another in surprise. The test choked many external courtyard disciples, and there were very few who could really be admitted to the inner courtyard.

"However, would it be as difficult as the training that junior brother Yuhao has us go through?" Xu Sanshi muttered to the others, and they solemnly shook in disagreement.

It can't be as bad as Huo Yuhao's training....

The frail, elderly voice continued, "Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong'er, Xiao Xiao, Wu Feng, and Ning Tian shall remain on the Sea God's Island temporarily and cultivate alongside me. You will only return to the external courtyard when I think that it's time."

He then started the others to the deans and elders to train them.

The students, elders and four deans stood up together properly and bowed towards Elder Mu respectfully.

"Meeting dispersed."

"Yes!"

All the elders seemed to instantly disappear.

Elder Xuan, the four deans and Fan Yu remained.

Elder Mu secretly rolled his eyes and said, "All of you can go too. It's fine if only Huo Yuhao and the other 4 remain here."

"Yes." Yan Shaozhe replied respectfully and left with everyone quietly.

The Sea God's Pavilion quieted down. Those that remained, except Huo Yuhao, were nervous. After all, the one on the head of the table was the Sea God Pavilion Master—the greatest authoritative figure in Shrek Academy.
