Chapter 157: Spark of Genesis
Swatting the ethereal form of his direct subordinate away, Qiangu Dongfeng coughed up a glob of blackened blood. His blood boiled not from rage or indignation but in a literal sense, the power of the dead pushing his body to its breaking points. If he wasn't a Limit Douluo he wouldn't be able to endure such potent deathly energy.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" The expression on the Fifth Slayer's face was straight from hell, the pleasure he took from the Pagoda Master's suffering was damn near demonic. "Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery!"
Holding his blade in front of his chest, a horrific scream erupted from the numerous ethereal soldiers behind White. Nine crimson rings danced behind him, the eight glowing brilliantly as the thick energy of death that surrounded the Spirit Pagoda was devoured by the God of Souls.
"You bastards of FUG…" Gritting his teeth Qiangu Dongfeng held his staff tightly until it shook from pain in his grasp. Loosening his grip the Spirit Douluo released a sigh as his staff floated before him. "I won't let a demon like you escape even if it costs my life." The bone chilling vow of Qiangu Dongfeng was accompanied by a prideful roar, his martial soul shaking heavily.
A dragon the same color as freshly fallen snow escaped from the Coiling Dragon Staff with a mighty roar, its silver eyes glaring hatefully at the even whiter mortal. The dragon was massive, its wing nearly blotting out the sun as it coiled around the staff that it resided within.
"Heh. You call that a dragon?" Scoffing in utter disdain, White didn't think for a second what he saw was a true dragon. It was large and had draconic attributes but it was a snake with wings at best, a deceitful little abomination just like the master it served.
"Words are wasted on sinners like you." Returning to the Pagoda Master's grasp, the staff grew larger once more as the flying snake let out yet another prideful roar, its wings extended outward as if to show off.
Flying forward the serpent suddenly… froze? It stopped in place, shivering immensely as if death itself was holding its neck. And it wasn't the only one, all three of them felt the tyrannical power emanating from those onyx eyes.
"Luslec…" Spitting out that name hatefully, Qiangu Dongfeng glared at the entity flying high in the sky as though their problems were beneath him. The God of Devils was so unbothered about everything and yet Luslec always got in his way!
It was then that a second presence exploded outward, divinity unmistakably flowing through the air as everyone, the Pagoda Master and White included, were thrust into the ground as if the heavens themselves refused to accept them. Kneeling on the ground, Qiangu Dongfeng spat out yet another glob of blood.
'You too Yun Ming?!' He couldn't possibly mistake that hateful presence, not in a million years. It was bad enough to always be a step behind the fool but for Yun Ming to somehow reach the level of a god without a divine realm?!
Rising to his feet, Qiangu Dongfeng was covered in dust from head to toe. His illustrious battle armor was scraped and damaged, blood leaked from the hole in his chest, and black veins crawled along his skin from the deathly energy flowing through him. Today he had been disgraced more times than he ever had.
'I don't need the Federation's assistance. The second this is over, I'm using the God Killers.' It was impossible to describe the sheer hatred in the Pagoda Master's gaze. He wanted to slaughter everyone around him right this very second, to paint this blasted city with blood and entrails. But he resisted. He wasn't so foolish as to give in to hatred no matter how enticing.
Tapping his staff on the ground, a lavender orb of swirling energy formed in front of the Pagoda Master, his crimson ninth ring glowing behind him. The orb was small, roughly the size of a pebble, but the sheer power raging with it was more than powerful enough to raze the crumbling Spirit Pagoda to the ground.
The divinity in the air stunted its growth but the swirling mass of heaven and earth energies that distorted reality itself was by no means weak. It was an attack made by a Limit Douluo who threw caution to the wind and desired destruction alone. It didn't reach the realm of the divine but it was not something easily destroyed.
"Snake, have you ever seen something a blade could not reach?" White's words were odd, an ominous premonition washing over Qiangu Dongfeng as he forced his ninth ring ability to form faster and faster at the cost of his own life force. "Because I haven't." White's smirk was the last thing the Pagoda Master saw before his mind was ravaged by pain like nothing else he had ever seen.
A single slash, a single swing of White's blade. That was all it was. Even a child could have done what he had done. There was little to no soul power used and though deathly energy filled the blade it was far from an enhancing energy.
And yet, a white line severed everything in its path leaving a thin cut through the earth that reached thousands of meters into the distance. Space had been severed, time had been cut, and the divinity that flowed freely through the air had been shattered.
White was a monster, not because of his immense talent nor because of his soul rings. He was a monster because of his unique talent that made the foundation of his swordsmanship. The ability to cut through anything whether it be space-time or even the unbridgeable gap between mortals and gods. His blade could cleave through them all.
An explosion of black and white energy stole all color, the power of two entities that touched divinity exploding outward and destroying all it came into contact with. The delicate balance between the God of Heaven and Beast God had been destroyed with White's strike, the shattered divinity that once contained their power like a net destroyed without chance of repair.
"Oh." White's dumb exclamation of realization was impossible to hear over the roar of the storm formed from divinity.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.
Not quite sure I wrote Qiangu Dongfeng's character how I would have liked this chapter so let me clear a few things up. The Pagoda Master is somebody easily angered, quick to be offended, and petty beyond belief. But he's logical and won't act on emotion, he'll just hold onto the grudge until the day he could get his revenge. Of course, because he's so easily riled up, I'd imagine his thoughts are fairly easily to read.
