"Line up, children" he instructed. "My name is Tian Yu. I am a Sensitive Attack System Soul Ancestor from the Investigation Hall of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan and I will oversee your martial spirit awakening so don't be nervous."

The first child stepped forward. Tian Yu activated the awakening formation using six black stones and a glowing crystal ball. After a brief moment, a spear appeared in the boy's hand.

"A spear! A good offensive martial spirit!" Tian Yu exclaimed. After testing, the boy was found to have Level 4 innate soul power.

"You have the potential to become a Battle Soul Master" Tian Yu encouraged. The boy beamed with pride.

One by one, the other children took their turns, but most awakened weak or useless martial spirits: a hoe, a bucket, a chicken, and even the infamous Blue Silver Grass. None of these children possessed soul power.

Finally, it was Jun Tianlin's turn.

For the first time since his arrival in the Douluo Continent, hope ignited in Jun Tianlin's heart and His journey as a soul master was just beginning.
