Chapter 93: Naruto, Peak Human, Ch 46.2
"This little brat gets a scroll all by himself!" some ninjas remarked, their eyes sparkling with interest.
"Compared to having to snatch scrolls from other three-man teams, this would be much easier."
"That kid is a prime target; we must keep a close eye on him so no one else gets to him first!"
Although Li Zhenwu hadn't concealed his information, many of the ninjas participating in this exam didn't know who he was.
Furthermore, even those who did know him also had their doubts.
Now, seeing Li Zhenwu – alone with a scroll – some began to plot.
"We're all from the same village. Should we help Li Zhenwu?"
However, not all of them were ill-intentioned.
Some ninjas from the Leaf Village were concerned for Li Zhenwu, not wanting to see him become an easy target for others.
"Why would he need our help? You may not know, but before Li Zhenwu even started school, he was outlooking for ninjas in the village to challenge! He surpassed most lower-ranked ninjas when he did go to school, and now… he's even become the disciple of the Third Hokage. Do you really think he needs our assistance?"
"Ah... Now that you mentioned it in that way, you're right…"

Li Zhenwu lazily entered the infamous Forest of Death.
Many ninjas participating in the second round had dispersed, trying to avoid being ambushed.
However, a few small groups quietly trailed behind Li Zhenwu.
Like an innocent sapling, he strolled into the Forest of Death, appearing as an ordinary person. Yet, he was keenly aware of the small tails that followed him through his sensing abilities.
After covering some distance, a small team of Rain Village ninjas finally couldn't hold back.
This group split into three directions, using stealth to get closer and attempting to seize the 'Heaven' scroll from Li Zhenwu when he was vulnerable.
Little did they know, their movements were as obvious to Li Zhenwu as fireflies in the night or beetles in the field.
Through his sensing, Li Zhenwu easily detected the three ninjas closing in.
"Seems a bit weak," he sighed, and just as the three Rain ninjas approached him, ready to strike, Li Zhenwu made his move.
In their eyes, Li Zhenwu suddenly disappeared, only to reappear right in front of them with a fist…
And then there was nothing.
They were all sent flying like fragile ping pong balls after just a few punches from Li Zhenwu.
"Too weak," Li Zhenwu shook his head, feeling a sense of boredom.
